I have at least 5 other DAWs or sonic tools that should be there. And then like 20 other that shouldn't but I'd like to anyway :)
Reaper is not big enough yet but perhaps Dave is of another opinion, we'll see!

Guess it's my job to make it big then :)

It also has not been around as long as the other big names. IMO it would be a great idea to put it on the list. People can download it for free legally. It would help promote this great tool for people starting out who just wanna learn and have fun without investing per say in any tools.
REAPER does have an IRC...

I'm enjoying this thread. I hadn't heard of either of those DAWs, nice to be aware of some new tools. Anyone got anymore? :D

Have there been any accepted ReMixes that were created with REAPER as the primary tool? If so, then maybe that would be a good enough reason to add it to the list.

Same would go for most trackers...
...and GarageBand...
...and Audacity...
I'm in favor of adding Reaper, Tracker and GarageBand to the "DAW" list.
See also this thread (http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15250).
