Mixing Phase Begun! (http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1131018#1131018)

Kirby's Adventure was (and still is) on of my favorite games, and its soundtrack is nothing short of genius. There are many excellent, high energy pieces with strong melodies and infectious rhythms; this is one of the soundtracks that got me into video game music in general.

Here is the soundtrack, in NSF format:

Kirby's Adventure [NSF] (http://www.zophar.net/nsf/kirbys~1.zip)

I'm currently in the process of gathering mixers for a Kirby's Adventure remix project. So far, Rellik, Adhesive Boy, GrayLightning, Suzumebachi, and I are all going to contribute our talents. Protricity has also graciously offered to lend his talents further down the line if this project needs more mixers. I'm looking for about 7 to 8 remixers who are interested in providing a remix. Before anyone writes off this music as being 'too happy,' please listen to the soundtrack. It may be happy, but it's very strong musically.

The project will have a limited scope; it will not attempt to remix the entire soundtrack. I do this to make the project manageable; there are many songs in Kirby's Adventure (on the order of 50), and I think that attempting a full soundtrack arrangement project would be a bit overwhelming.

The premise is as follows:

Kirby's Adventure was one of the games for NES that had built-in cartridge save. Whenever a certain percentage of the game was beaten, the file select screen would display a certain rank or title for you.

11) Hero of Lore 100%
10) Final Star 90%
9) Great Ace 80%
8) Star General 70%
7) Dream Warrior 60%
6) Dream Hunter 50%
5) Star Herald 40%
4) Swift Hunter 30%
3) Li'l Traveller 20%
2) Son of Wind 10%
1) Water Drop 1%-9%

For this remix project, I'd like to make 'character themes' for each of these ranks. The theme of Son of Wind would be adventurous, the theme of Water Drop might be calmer; Star Herald could be more heroic, Dream Hunter could be darker, sneakier. You get the idea.

At the moment, I'm just looking for some talented people interested in remixing for the project. Be forewarned, however; this is not an open project. Remixers will be chosen through audtion only. If you are interested in mixing for this project, please send me a sample of your current work (in either MP3 or OGG format) to shariqansari @ gmail.com (remove spaces), or post it here in this thread.

Thank you for your time.

Hi. You might remember me: I used to be Dark Paladin. I kind of suck, but I've gotten a lot better.

Here's my most recent WIP, which was also in IMC 18 I think.

Well sorry if I did, but I want this project to be of a high caliber. Allowing anyone who's interested to mix isn't going to give me that level of quality; I want the music to be VERY good across the board, so a mixer audition process is essential to making that happen.

I'm also still in the process of contacting mixers directly that I would like on this project.

If anyone is wondering about a timeline, I'd like to begin track selection sometime late next week (thursday or friday). First WIPs will be due on Halloween, so there is a lot of time to get even a first WIP done.

That track will be in high demand among remixers, I guarantee. It's one of the best tracks in the game.

Alright, you say that you're going to make specific themes, but you don't say which tracks each remix will utilize. Will that be determined at a later date by you, or will it be the decision of the mixer, according to the mood it creates?

Mixers will choose the tracks and the rank they wish to represent with their song; I would prefer, however, if they chose level musics, as opposed to map musics.

This will all be determined once the Track Selection phase starts next week. Right now I'm just looking for mixers interested in remixing for the project.

So, for audition, do we have to give you a remix from the game, or just something we have done?

If you just want to hear stuff we have done, here are a few links to my stuff lately.

This is for the doom remixing project. http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=42940

The mixer will be allowed to choose any song from the soundtrack (level themes preferred) and choose from any of the first nine ranks to have their song represent. Ex.

DarkeSword - Steppin' Out ~ Theme of L'il Traveller ~
(remix of Ice Cream Island theme)

something like that.

Two exceptions:

Ending theme will be Theme of Hero of Lore
Last Boss theme will be Theme of Final Star

All this will come out during the track selection phase, which starts Friday.

Is there a credible midi version of the soundtrack online?

Tossy

I don't remix much, mostly due to a lack of motivation.

But this is something I'd like to get into. Naturally, having the responsibility of contributing to this project is more than enough motivation for me (I'm very poorly self-motivated, but very well externally-motivated).

Of course, catch-22 comes around: my lack of motivation means I have nothing to show you in terms of audition material :P suck.

actually, that may not be totally true. although I have no game remixes, I do have some other stuff. I'll get back to you with that another time (it's late now, and I'm tired)

Post this in the remixers forum, too, for greater response. I, for instance, rarely check the GenDisc forum, but frequently visit Remixing (and Unmod).

It's relevant to do so (in fact that's probably where this belongs, really...).

No, that's not where it belongs. There is no 'Remixers' forum. That's a Remixing forum, about technical aspects of remixing.

As for audition material; I don't care if it's remix or original. I just want to gauge the mixer's talent.

Actually guys, I'd like to stay away from Green Greens, considering it's already been covered to death with like Super Smash Bros. Melee and stuff; also, it's really the defining song of Dreamland, as opposed to Adventure. Adventure only used it in one level at the very end. :?

I'd rather people covered Kirby's Advenure music. I'm not totally ruling out Green Greens; I might do it myself as a bonus track, but it wasn't really one of the big tracks in the game.

Damn, Suzumebachi, that WIP is awesome!

Keep it up, and make it even longer! :D

P.S. I agree with Shariq, we don't need Green Greens.

EDIT 2: If Adhesive Boy wanted to really remix Rainbow Resort, maybe he could collab with Suzu, or you could make the song into two parts, with Suzu and Adhesive each doing a part. I agree that "Dream Hunter" is quite fitting.

I was happily awaiting this project, as this site would finally get a green greens remix, which it is lacking so much. Anyone who wants to 'stay away' from green greens can suck my ass.

Not that I have any say around here, that's just my opinion. So start sucking.

Yeah, you don't have any say, so you can suck yourself, for all I care. :P

I'd rather people covered Kirby's Advenure music. I'm not totally ruling out Green Greens; I might do it myself as a bonus track, but it wasn't really one of the big tracks in the game.

Early WiP:

Right-click, save target as (http://www.purevolume.com/download.php?id=240281)

This is the half-time hip-hop kinda intro, it will become twice as fast (literally; like 146 bpm I think), and will be much more dancey.

Oh yeah, are we allowed to release these WiP's on the respective forums/sections here and over at VgMix?

TRACK SELECTION IS BEGINNING!

All mixers, please state the track you wish to mix and the rank you have chosen to do the character theme for.

Example:

1/2 - Dream Hunter

Ground rules:
Green Greens is not choosable.
Track 56 (the ending theme) is not choosable, since I specifically asked Destiny to do it. This will be Hero of Lore.

If you choose 14/15, it MUST be Theme of Final Star, as it is the last boss theme.

The list of ranks is available in the first post of this thread.

Lets try to get some discussion here so we can work out conflicts and start working on WIPs.

Sir_NutS
09-10-2004, 07:02 AM
Well there are two tracks I'll be willing to do:

Track 13 - Level:Great Ace
I could do some electronica with this, expanding the original song wich is very short and simple.

Track 18/19 - Level: Lil' Trip
With this one I could go a bit more out of the box with something more experimental.

I'm not remixing both tracks. I selected two tracks just in case someone wants to do one of these. In that case, we could discuss and decide wich one remixes the track. Until then I'll be messing around with these two.

KirbyMixer, could you please try to remix track 22 as Water Drop?

Starky, I didn't see any mention of a rank, so I put you on Swift Hunter, if that's alright.

Alright people, here's what we look right right now:

KirbyMixer - 22 - Water Drop
chthonic - 3 - Son of Wind
Adhesive_Boy - 41/42 - L'il Traveller
Dj_StarChild - 33/34 - Swift Hunter
Rellik - 55/37/22 - Star Herald
Suzumebachi - 28/29 - Dream Hunter
Ellywu2 - 18/19 - Dream Warrior
Trenthian - 1/2 - Star General
Sir Nuts - 13 - Great Ace
DJ Ikronix - 14/15 - Final Star
Destiny - 56 - Hero of Lore

DarkeSword - undecided/backup mixer

If you guys wish to trade ranks with anyone else, simply post here and we'll try to work something out.

That last bit about me basically says that if your work is not upto scratch, or you have to drop out for whatever personal reason, or you piss me off and I kick you off the project, I'll be taking over your track assignment. :P

(not being up to scratch basically means that if i'm not satisfied with your mixing ability, you're out, so do good)

I may also do a bonus track for 'Super Star' a rank which was only attainable after beating Extra Mode, but I want to worry about the real project first, then any extras.

Anyway, our track selection phase is, for the most part, DONE.

Everyone, please begin working on your mixes.

The first Work-In-Progress is DUE on Sunday, October 31, 2004

DO NOT MISS THIS DEADLINE. IF YOU DO, YOU RISK REMOVAL FROM THE PROJECT

First WIP should have at least 1 MINUTE worth of material. Substantial material. Source tunes must be prevalent, and the style must fit the rank (I won't be TOO harsh on the style, however).

I highly recommend you post WIPs before the deadline, so that your fellow remixers can provide you with worthwhile feedback.

Let's do this, team. Good luck. 8)

edit: changed the WIP length requirement to 1 minute; I think that's reasonable, eh?

Setting reasonable, attainable goals will help this project reach completion, even if it takes a while.

Just so everyone knows, my target completion date for the whole project is around either the beginning or end of January.

chthonic - 3 - Son of Wind

Fixed that for ya

No capital C, plus you spelled it 'cthonic'

That's not the point of this post, however.

I will be steadily feeding project name ideas into this thread... starting with this:

Stellar Evolution:
The Kirby's Adventure ReMix Project

'Stellar' refers to the stars that are a huge part of the game and story, and 'Evolution' could be either the progressing of your character through the ranks, or the reinterpretation of the music.

You could even do "Stellar Revolution"... it rolls of the tongue almost exactly the same.

Anyway, there's one of MANY ideas to come.

This is the most productive I've been since I started on Nemesis

The track listing is looking good so far, eventhough there would be a few trackselections that I would have liked to see in there. Good jorb, Homesword!

Perhaps you could do something like Digital Coma where multiple remixers could present tracks for a slot, and the majority vote decides which one gets in. Seeing as how there are many mixers reaching for slots, and we don't want to end up with anything sub-par... (not to be mean)

Darangen
09-16-2004, 01:33 AM
I think DarkeSword has already done a pretty good job choosing which remixers to have on the project. He's heard auditions from each remixer and made sure they're quite capable of producing high-quality above par remixes. ;)

DarkeSword
09-16-2004, 03:18 AM
I've toyed with the idea of implementing a peer review, but at this point, I don't want to hurt any feelings. If all of the remixers are okay with it, I'll devise a Peer Review process.

The problem with auditions was that I accepted people as they applied, so it went more like a first come first serve. In retrospect I should have waited for all of the auditions and picked the cream of the crop.

Everyone please add your thoughts; should we do a Peer Review? I'd like to hear some arguments.

Darangen
09-16-2004, 03:51 AM
I kind of agree with what you said earlier, it would be kinda unfair and meanish to kick someone off a slot you've already given them.

But on the other hand, there is nothing wrong with getting the best of the best instead of (lack of a better word) settling for something not so good.

I guess what I'd suggest is keeping whoever you have right now, unless someone auditions that is clearly better for the job.

Peer review should only be used when absolutely necessary (if there's a way around it, I mean, it should be taken). But if there's no way to avoid it, I wouldn't object to peer review. I do believe that only people involved in the project should be allowed to vote on it though.

GrayLightning
09-17-2004, 01:34 AM
Peer review is a good idea in theory. The problem as we've seen with the DKC project is it can get out of hand and political. If there were such a process some ideas might need to be implemented so it doesn't go out of control as that did.

Like AB said, if there's a way to avoid it, that might be a better way.

Trenthian

I have absolutely no problems with a peer review, even if it my own neck that may be cut.

Im for the reveiw...

but it would have to be a very large majority voting someone out of a position on the team, as even if someone is clearly a better mixer, it never hurts to give someone a shot.

DJ_Ikronix

I don't have a huge problem with peer review, if it comes to that.

On an entirely different note (or maybe not), I'd like some feedback on the overall sound I'm working on right now.

Drums + Bass clip (http://www.geocities.com/lurkronix/kirbytest.mp3)

I'm just screwing around with the sounds of my drum and bass patterns, and I'd like opinions on the overall feel of it. I wasn't happy with the bass sound at first (sounded too mechanical and blatently sequenced), but the drums banging around underneath it seem to disguise the flaws a bit. I guess the 4 Scream-4 units behind it helps too. :P

I'm debating working it over to more closely match the bassline pattern in Track 15. It sounded ugly, REAL ugly, when I tried it before. It's in the same key, but let me know if this sounds completely unrecognizable, compared to the old one.

(Honesty is appreciated, this is just a sample. ;) )

DarkeSword

what ÍS a peer review?

Peer review means I would more mixers to work on the project, but still keep the original amount of slots for the tracks.

For example, lets say I want to work on the track for Water Drop, and you also want to work on the track for Water Drop. We would both make our remixes for it, and then at the end of the project, everyone would all vote on the mix they would most like to be on the album for Water Drop. If your mix won, it would be the on the album, and my mix would not. Either way, we'd both get a good mix out of it.

One of the reasons I'm leaning towards allowing more tracks and going into a PR system is that some guys have expressed interest in working on the project (Darangen, Zircon...MYSELF ;), but I don't have any slots open for them.

As for politics, I don't think I'll have to worry about it. We'll just have to stress that the music must be the only thing that is reviewed.

Out of curiosity, what's the problem with multiple remixes of a single track being released on the album? I can understand wanting to make most of the soundtrack is covered, but apparently there's no more room. :P

Not true.

The concept of the album is character themes. This isn't a full soundtrack remix album. I have already stated that two or three times in this thread.

We can't have two mixes that are both "Theme of Great Ace," for example. It does not make sense.

Hey, I'm here just to say that I've been working on my song.
I'll be uploading a wip tonight or tomorrow, there was a hurricane here yesterday and internet is kinda choppy today.

Since I'm remixing "The Great Ace" I'm trying to give it an epic feeling, a very powerfull remix.
I'll post the link later. Oh and I'm ok with "The Adventurers"

herograw

guess i'm a little too late, but i'd have to say that the best way to peer review is to make sure that no wips are released for competing tracks and then post both finished products at the same time in the end, with no artist in the id3 tags.

that way there's nothing to judge but the music itself.

I'd like to contribute to this project as well. I have no remixing talent at all unfortunately. However, I do have a great artistic talent. If you need any sort of logo(s) for the album I gladly make some for free. :D

Observe my sig for example, reversable names are fun (it spells KWarp). The album's ones would be of a much higher quality of course.

As for a title, here's some stuff off the top of my head:
Kirby Chorus
Copy Jam
Dreamland Adventures: Live
Dreamland Adventures: The Musical
Dreamland Destination

I like that last one. :P

Alright so I just realized that both Rellik and KirbyMixer are mixing track 22. I just talked to KM, and he's going to mix Fountain of Dreams as Water Drop instead. :P

:( I hope it wasn't my fault. If it was my fault, I apologize. If it was KirbyMixer's, I forgive him :P.

Ikronix, your DnB clip is very cool :). I didn't recognize the bassline at first, but it should work fine (in fact, I agree that the original bassline wouldn't have worked for DnB, or actually very many genres at all, since it's so different from a normal bassline). The sound, as I mentioned, is very cool. My only suggestion would be to beef up the drum track a little, but not by alot, since it's mostly fine.

As for peer review, my take on the matter is that I guess it's an ok idea if necessary. My suggestion: at least leave room in the project for mixes that aren't of the character themes. They could be cordoned off from the mixes of the character themes, but it seems to me that it would be a shame to sever them completely from the project.

DarkeSword

Don't worry about it Rellik. It was my fault.

KirbyMixer, remember when I talked to you on AIM the other day? Fountain of Dreams is track 57 on the NSF, so you can work that into your piece.

Everyone: if you've got WIPs, post them, because then we can all provide feedback. If everyone can get solid demos by the first deadline, I won't have to cut anyone :P.

Ikronix; the clip sounds fine to me. I'd have to hear more of it in the context of the mix to make a good judgement though. Keep going with it.

There's what we're working with so far; Rellik and KirbyMixer are both incorporating 22 due to a miscommunication on my part; however, Rellik's piece isn't focusing on it, so it's okay.

Awesome! :D That's exactly what I wanted to hear.<(^_^)> Now for more questions and demands... erm.. comments:

More likely than not, I'm going to want to incorporate some of the music from this album into my flash animation projects. Are there any restrictions album colaboration remixes have vs typical OCRemixes? In other words, if I credit the musician(s), can I use stuff from the album like any OCRemix?

Next, I demand each composer has fun with their project and is excited with their results. :P

:D I like it. I really love the lead synth, and, in general, a slower speed works well for it. If it were my mix, however (keeping in mind how little experience I have), I would bump up the tempo a few notches. The way it is now, it took me a while to remember the melody. Don't speed it up too much, though, because at this speed you could add some really nice improvisations. Very creative title.

Hmm... maybe I could do an orchestral-techno hybrid, similar to Dan's recent take on Hyrule Castle (http://www.ocremix.org/detailmix.php?mixid=OCR01184). That might get the epic feel you were talking about, and the tempo would also be faster. I think the main problem lies in the happy nature of the melody itself, and transforming it into what you are describing sounds like it will take a lot of work.

Not to mention the fact that I may have to leave the project for six weeks because of my grades. You might want to have a backup mixer ready in case the grounding does happen, and if it does, I'm really sorry.

Anyway, if anyone has some really good string and orchestra samples, please bestow them unto me... most of mine are only sub-par; especially the brass.

what sequencer are you using for your mix?

I mix with edirol in FL...

if you do simlilarly , than I have some reccomendations.

First off, the samples clip because you have them turned up too hot.

Instead of sliding the volume for their FX (or master if you dont use the fx yet.) track up higher, put a preamp or otherwise on the track.

when the percussion comes in, it is being processed too loud so it clips.

it would be good to extend some of the tails on those piano and harp notes, as they do sound a little flat.

None taken ^^

However ~ if what you're saying is based upon the stuff I've sent for submission to OCR in the past, then most of that is about a year old now... And I can't blame you for not liking it, even I can see how bad most of it is when I look back on it now.

Of course, I've gotten better since then (as evidenced by what I linked early on) - but hey, I agree that I'm still not perfect, and yeah, there's most likely plenty of other mixers that are much better than me available to work on the project, so I understand if I don't meet the standards and all :)

Either way, I'm looking forward to what comes out of the project, and evewn if I'm not part of it I can still carry on with my own Kirby mix seperately anyways - it's all good :D

After all, I'm more of an artist than a musician... which reminds me... Do we just send in our ideas for cover designs whenever, and you just use whatever you like the best at the end, or are there more specifics than that? What kind of info needs to be on the covers?

It's not an open project. I did auditions about a month ago. If you didn't audition then, you can audition now. If your stuff is good, you can be a backup. If it's not, you can't mix for the project.

Either way, all slots are filled up, and I still have two backups on deck in case someone drops.

Hadyn: I didn't MISS Super Star. I definitely know about it. I intentionally left that one out. I'm thinking about doing the Super Star mix myself as a bonus track. We'll see what happens.

Crazy...

I don't know how some stuff is popular while other stuff isn't around here. I'm not complaining, more power to everything... just... wow.

Good luck everyone, too bad I didn't audition when I could've.

I've had that problem with Cakewalk SONAR 2 before, and I hate to tell you, but: You're screwed. You're going to have to start over.

That type of error isn't fixable, the only hope you might have is if you made a backup (something I've grown accustomed to doing since this happened to me).

Try sending it to someone else who has reason, see if they can open it. If they can't, well, that's very :( I've always thought of Reason as a stable app, but I guess not. You could try contacting the propellerheads guys or maybe post on their forum (in fact, I'd definitely do that if you haven't already).

Anyway, I think I'll have more time than I expected, so I may be able to get more done by the 31'st than I had originally planned (maybe even finish it?). It's never really going to be my best mix so far or anything, honestly, no matter how much I work on it, but I'll aim to make it as good as I can.

That kirby commercial is entirely too creepy. It totally contrasts with the essence of kirby... but I guess that's how stuff got sold back then.

To save DS the trouble, and seeing as I really have nothing else to do ~

The remixers have already been auditioned, and chosen, and there are already back-up remixers ready incase some of the current mixers need to drop out. DarkeSword is only choosing the absolute best remixers for this project, and so unless you have some really good skill, and a few .mp3's handy to prove it, there's pretty much no chance you'll get in - and even if you did, you'd just be backup.

If you want to contribute art to the project, then the guideline seems to be "submit whatever you like, and if they like it, they'll use it". There aren't really any other guidelines - I'm not even sure if the compilation has a name yet, so making album covers is a little tricky at this point. But hey, if you have an idea, it can't hurt to show it around :)

As far as a web page goes, I'm not sure what's happening there. I'd assume they'd be making it in Dream Weaver and Flash at any rate, and so the ability to code "basic" html is probably not much help - but, I could be wrong. Either way, I'm still not even sure if this project is going to have a website yet... DS, care to clear that one up?

I think the best way most people can help right now would probably be just supporting the mixers, giving them feedback and critiques, and yeah, just generally encouraging them. Cya 'round, oh, and welcome to OCR :D

If you need a hand, I did an xhtml/css course last semester (came out with a high distinction) so I might be able to help in some way. Other than that, I also know some flash if you want like, animated banners or anything - though too much animation can sometimes be a bad thing... that said, I'm also pretty good at static web graphics and all too.

yeah, I know, I've put up offers for just about every kind of job now, eh? Well, just saying... I'm there if you need the extra hand at all :P

Everything else about your mix rocks so much, but that piano just feels so midi-ish, and very out of place...

Could you not has that part played by a guitar lead, perhaps? or maybe even have subtle electronic instruments or something ^^;

I dunno, just in my opinion it ruins the mix a bit :(

Either way, the guitar work, drums, and bass are legendary - keep up the awesome work.

Yeah, that piano isn't going to stay in there very long ;)

I mainly put that in because I wanted people to know where the melody was going to be and in what parts. It will most likely, probably around a 99.254% chance, be replaced with guitar-work, so don't worry :). It's pretty much note for note as is too, but I'll be changing that up a bit here and there too so it's not like music-insert copy of melody here-music-etc. Yeah, lots of stuff is still gonna happen

Glad you liked the rest of it :)

Hehe, I'm still downloading your song Darangen and I already have high thoughts :P And you missed the deadline by 15 minutes ;P ...Now I'm listening... A little much noise in the background but that will be fixed ofcourse :D And the piano... yeah, you said it :D But guitars and a piano is a funny combination ;) My tip, cause the mix is very happy, try to find something else than a distorted guitar, maybe somekind of flute, harmonia or maybe if that wouldn't fit just an acoustic guitar. Quite nice and it have potential, keep "jobbin'" :P

Interesting stuff, AB. I like how it manages to create a nice balance between the totally strange and the more conventional (whenever I start out something with a totally strange section, I can never quite make the transition into "listenable" :P so I have to start out vice versa; so hearing something like this done is very impressive to me).

I can tell this is going to be really cool, all the drums could really use more compression, and the "strange guitar pad" that comes in around :48, while amazingly cool (and I can tell it will be used to great effect later in the mix), the fact that it's panned to the left like it is kind of makes it feel... off-center... which it is. Anyway, nice stuff (that bass is cool; not overly aggressive, but sort of not a sub either). Excellent flutestuff.

I should go back and listen to my own WiP; I think taking some time away from it to work on some other stuff (aLOT of other stuff, actually 8O most of which will probably never be heard around these parts, or maybe around any parts at all, but hey, it was fun and turned out nice) has cleared up my thinking.

Things you should note : The choir sounds like ass at the moment, i'm going to layer some deep cellos with it and tweak it.

I do like how it starts out, and the piano itself is nice-sounding, and the sequencing is not altogether terrible, but I do feel it needs a lot of work in the velocity/timing department. Timingwise, it's really just about perfect, but in the intro, the notes are far too correct in their spacing, and the way they cut off is atypical of the way a piano player would normally play (it would be very unusual to just let go of the notes rhythmically, as oppose to either all at once or in a meaningful pattern). As for velocity, I just think it needs to be more intelligently programmed; I do like the emphasis on some notes, but the dynamic changes are too abrupt and there's no real build or flow, imo.

As for the orchestral part, very nice :D I'm not orchestral expert so I don't really know what to say regarding your use of strings and snares and timpanis and whatever that wierd buzzing low noise is at 2:15 (although it sounds cool, somehow it seems... ungood?). All I can really tell you is that the arrangement is very VERY nice at this point; the way everything comes in and works together is very GrayLightning like (it's probably the snares + rolls that is making me think of his work). Cool stuff overall; just the kind of difficult stuff I find myself needing to work at at the moment.

ellywu2

Thanks for the advice rellik. I've listened to the piece and well, it sounds like ass, it really does :(
I'm not even too sure of the orchestral, it good do with a lot more layers at the moment etc. I'll have to work on it a lot more, its just a question of finding time now.
By the way, that buzzing noise is a muted french horn i think. I'll possibly change it :)
