very clean and crisp in every way, love that build that you have after palying the country names and the F F F Fight!
i wouldnt think the melody would work good as a dance song but it does! omfg its awesome
Hahaha...brings back fond memories of the Vega vs. Chun Li fight. Thank you, SF Anniversary Collection. Although, it also brings back the unspeakable terror, dread, and utter helplessness I felt as a child whenever Vega would jump onto the wall, knowing full well that the cheap little punk would inevitably jump off and claw me and that there was not a thing I could do about it. And then he'd retreat and do it all over again. Curse you, first-grade reflexes.
Ahem...
Errr, right...about the mix then. Anyway, yeah...for some reason, when it started, I couldn't help feeling it sounded slightly n00bish (mostly because of the familiar-sounding synth/sample and because omitting the original bassline notes there creates odd harmonies). I quickly got used to it though, so I don't have too much of an issue with that. Effects and percussion are used intelligently and effectively throughout. I think my favorite part was also the country names/"f-f-f-fight" thing. Very nice touch...Rayza always seems to know how to use sound clips/game samples in a discreet and generally non-annoying manner, unlike many other electronica remixers. :P I also like the break/transition/whatever-you-techno-people-call-it at 3:15. ;)
Overall, very competent and well-executed remixing work. Recommended to any fan of Vega (and/or Chun Li's panties ;) ). Good stuff from Rayza as usual.

Hey, cool song here. Love the theme!
I like the 8-bit noises in the first thirty seconds. The chopping and panning are very creative and I like them!
:59, I like that synth off the bat. But.. I got sick of it FAST. eeh. But the more listens to this song, you do get used to it I suppose.. -- 1:21-23 that note in there fades out too fast..
The layout and arrangement of this song is amazing, yet that lead synth just ruined it for me.. :? sorry.
Good use of Vocal Samples. The F F F Fight started sounding a little bit like 'Heil' after a while.. (This isn't a wolfenstein remix.. haha) But that's just me messin around.
Good pumped up techno all the way through. I'll check back this review thread later to see if anyone agreed with me...
8/10

Always been a big fan of Rayza's way of remixing. Love the beats.
Nice job!

Overall a pretty good and very solid mix from Mr. Rayza. Great work on the lead as expected from a Rayza mix. My only problem with it is that the bass and kick aren't LOUD enough, as they should be in this type of music.

ur bass synth and beat go so well together. i will say it again though, i dont like the wavy lead synth to much, but it isnt that bad. Im an ultra fan of vegas stage music, this gets EASILY a 9/10

Creative use of original vocal samples. This is something I ask before, but often we see here. Gives a nice touch to the track.
The tribute of first country is something that I really enjoy, thanks. Blanka would be proud too. :D
Rhythm is our name.
OMG, the bass is something that really works here.
It can't be improved in any aspect, anything beyond this point is personal taste. This guy has a style, classic outro. 8)
Turn the lights out and let the music flow.
F-f-f-fight. 11/10 :D
I don't like it. I mean... It's Street Fighter, right? :?

I listened to this back when it was a WIP...I loved it then, and love it now. Gotta love the way Rayza can work those beats. :)
By the way, the country name samples were a very nice touch - something I wouldn't have thought of, that's for sure.
Keep up the good work! Maybe some more Streets of Rage next time. :D

The styling of this one is impeccable. Very clubbish. I appreciate that the melody wasn't watered down from the original. This is a remix chiefly because the background chords were stripped of their latin flavor and given a convincing nightculb feel. The tempo has been slowed down just a little to bring it into the "danceable" 120bpm range.
The lead instrument is a loud synth. This might have been a grating choice, but good use is made of effects and slides to make the synth sing. My favorite part of the entire piece is the extended wrapup, with "hit" samples woven into a typical snare-fill club pattern.

Whee. It's great when the new layer comes on about 36 seconds in. I kind of wished there was a bit more variety in the sounds here, but it's still well done.
with such a great and upbeat remix, I'm wondering myself why Rayza hasn't done more Streets of Rage remixes.
Perhaps a tribute to Avien's Slow Moon Groove - still one of my favorite remixes ever.

Amazing club like mix. I really wanted some neon lights to drop down from my ceiling so I could dance to this mix. The beat was kept fresh and constant. Great job.

it was cool mix and a somewhat original idea. I am not a fan of this type of music, but it had a good melody but, Vega's theme seem to work with this type of music and it was well done.

Good stuff from Rayza, yet again.

the sound of it was very flat, no real styling of base- kept as steady as if it were a march.
High quality, sound samples are GREAT work. although good trance music, its flatness makes it hard to get into unless you're doing circut kick boxing. 8/10.

i still cant make out what the very first country he mentions is. he loses a sliver of a point for that. otherwise, its good enough for me to hum while listening to it on my mp3 player, effectively disturbing everyone around me cause my voice sucks.
Great track.

One of the things I like about this song is the looped melody stays at a level consistent with everything else and yet never truly changes - the effects within the song cause it to shift slightly, but always reutnring to the same point.
It's easier to notice at the beginning of the song.
In any event, oddly enough this has gotta be one of my favorites from Rayza, despite the overbearing enjoyment from other tracks such as Gallantry or Whirlwind, to name some other trance/dance/techno-ey remixes by him.
That, and it's funny as hell to see people's reactions when I'm moving my body to the beats in a quiet, almost nonchalant way as I walk through the halls at school listening to this.
Awesome dance-type song. I've listened to it a couple million times and got other people to like it, along with most of Rayza's other works.
Pip is uh.....

A very nice mix. It's quality techno youd expect from Rayza. One thing that I noticed about this peice was that it had a bit more of a darker feel to it than any of his other mixes that I've heard. That aside its a great track. Worth the download.

I suppose it had to be done. I prolly won't listen to it again. Dance is overdone and usually poorly. The vocal samples are nice; reminiscient of old Mortal Kombat tunes. Eh, it bores me. Sorry, Rayza.

The transitions are so friggin' nice. I love how even when the lead drops out, we get that little hint of the theme in the subtle distorted synths. That's just awesome writing. And 3:58-4:40 = Hot. My favorite Rayza mix? Yeah, probably.

This is an awesome mix all-around, and the voice samples just make it so much greater.

The vocal samples makes this so awesome to listen too.
Good work.
Pretty cool stuff, some great backing synths throughout, and though i'm not completely sold on the lead, the atmosphere of the track overall works very well. The announcer from the game was a bit much, but charming enough to give the flavor of the game to the arrangement.
At a little over 5 minutes though, it seemed to drag on a little long, and there's a good deal of repetition. There are a lot of good ideas brought in that help improve it, like some gated and panned transitions that are very cool.
Decent, but not amazing.

Love the voice samples in this ReMix. F-f-f-fight! It's really blends in with the whole dance/trance beat. I couldn't imagine Vega's theme as a dance track before, but now it's not nearly as far-fetched. I kinda like the "Mortal Kombat"-like name run that listed the countries. It would have been cool if somehow the same could have be done for the fighter's names later on for the track, but overall it's an awesome ReMix with a ton of great energy going for it. Sweet stuff.
Usually when I listen to this, I'm so totally swayed by the gradually intensifying lead synths at the start that, from 0:28 to 1:21, I get out of my chair (if I'm sitting down), assume Vega's fighting stance, threaten an imaginary opponent with a "claw" on my left hand, mimic backflips, "cling" to a wall to scale, and "leap" from it with a girlish cry, all to the beat. If I do it once, I often repeat it at 3:28 - 3:53. The fresh melody after that sure turns up the groove factor the way djp described (rowdy crowd and disco ball and all), although my body can't always keep up with the energy display if I dance (twice) before that. Basically, Club del Toro knows how to give me a silly-awesome workout with its enticing hook and sustaining vibe, so props.
Btw, I'm guessing Thailand was left out of the country shout-outs because that would imply that Vega's been defeated (and the player's moved on to Sagat and M. Bison). I can't imagine that handsome fighter losing a battle when he's got THIS to dance/fight to.
