I agree, This is a long-overdue project. Thought about doing it myself eventually, but it wouldn't have been anytime soon. Things are already looking good, so I hope it's a success! As far as medleys, look to DoD (http://dod.vgmix.com) regulars like Prince of Darkness, Dr. Manhattan, or norg. They would do no wrong.

If you don't mind me sayin. It does happen sometimes. Maybe alowing alternates isint such a bad idea just in case someone does drop a track. At least then you wont have to hunt musicians down to replace them if it does.

I don't think halc has to worry either way. On the one side, everybody on the list is a regular and visits the site enough that they can be reached easily (although knock on wood, because real life's a bitch). On the other side, even if someone does have to drop their track, it's not like there won't be at least three available people who could take up the track. Maybe even more than that.

It's not that big of a deal on my photobucket, but really it's the principle of the matter, I occasionally clean stuff or move things around so I can't guarantee it'll actually stay working.

Sonic's 4 Sega Genesis games (add-ons not counted) will be complete with this. The only problem is, there's only 11 tracks so far, not counting any discussion outside this topic's initial post. To REALLY stand out over Hedgehog Heaven, all the remixes would have to be at least 4 or 5 minutes and the remixers would have to make the music with every ounce of talent in them, in their full power. If all else fails, you can still have two tracks per OST song.

That's because Sonic 1's soundtrack didn't have many tunes in comparison to other Genesis games to begin with. We're given what we've got to make something awesome out of them.
And considering the average length for the usual track by most of the artists that have signed up, that shouldn't be a problem, but it's still our choice on how long we should make our tracks in the end, and how we approach it for that matter.

I'll have to agree with this (yeah I went there too).

I see no reason to clog this album up with unexplained bonus tracks and duplicates. A soundtrack with 11 tracks can be tributed thusly with 11 good remixes :<

Length does not and should not equal quality. 11 tracks is still quite a sizable amount, anyway. This will probably be at least 45 minutes long, which is no shorter than most mainstream albums released these days.
