Trying to think what other parts of the source I could use...

The bastard offspring of Steve Blum and Microsoft Sam, telling me to fix my link.
It did not invoke the feeling of a Zelda temple. To me, at least.

That made my day. *grins* Fix the link! This is my most favourite dungeon theme ever.

Spakku... lol.

Yeah, fix the link! If that site's giving you trouble you can try some of these (http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=17685), instead.

I like it, especially with the bass guitar in the background. As for adding more source material, I don't know if you actually need to. I'm digging the more quasi-percussion thing you've got going on here (and didn't DrumUltimA prove it could be done?). A break in the middle somewhere for an even funkier percussion solo might work. One thing I do want to mention, though, is that overall the sound is fairly muffled. There are some effects with some clarity to them, which is nice, but I think these moments are too few right now. The good thing is, this mix does grow on you. ;)

Is it just me or did you copy a bunch of samples from Majora's Mask into this?
You've got a really intriguing sound going on, here. It feels like...realization? I can't quite describe it.

It's really cool, but it still feels like background music. It's great to loop, but I don't feel like it could stand as well if I weren't doing anything else.

I'm listening and it sounds good, but I feel there could be a more variation with drums, maybe instead of using loops through out it, mix it up every so often and throw something in there. Otherwise I like it. Calming.

It sounds really close to the source... like the same song.

I think your instruments are the main problem, it's really... unrealistic. Sounds like you took the game audio and just added some more layers to it.
I like your rhythm, that one drumbeat really made me liking this remix.
Keep at it, some more variation, and avoid keeping it the same exact way as the source, sound-wise. Play around, find other instruments you like, use different styles.

I always try to be nice, supportive, encouraging, but this really just sounds like a sound upgrade.

It's not from OoT, but I think the Hyrule Castle theme could be woven into this to give it more substance. Maybe you could just put in parts here and there to let the Forest Temple theme still have the main focus. You have a great start so far, but it's so atmospheric with so little melody that it hasn't really come into its own yet.

The forest temple doesn't really have a melody... it's more like creepy noises with only one part with actual notes.

This is more or less that same creepy noises with only one part with actual notes, but it has a drumbeat and some added cool stuff.

So yeah, try another creepy theme (like above example) to put it in.

Interesting for a start! I'm really digging the more upbeat, busy jazzy sound you've given it. I think you should work on the arrangement a bit more, though. It sounds WAY too close to the source. And also, better quality instruments would help.

The atmospheric sound is lovely though. Please keep working on this! I'd love to see where this would end up! :)
