Funny how you can write a song and not know the time signature....
But I did...so if someone could help me:
Here's the Midi - http://www.mediafire.com/?ncywmsmbonl
Here's the Sheet .MUS (in 6/8 which looks weird :|) - http://www.mediafire.com/?y32m5qgmicp
Sorry about having to download them but thanks in advance.

12/8. It sounds similar to 4/4 except that each beat is divided into three eighth-notes instead of two. I can't comment on how it's currently notated, though; I can't open the sheet music because my version of Finale is too old. If you're in 6/8 right now, all changing to 12/8 will do is consolidate things into fewer measures.

I think 6/8 is right - each phrase is only two dotted quarters long. I'd like to open the file to see it myself (perhaps your barring is wrong, which leads you to think it isn't in 6/8 or something) but I never had Finale (and this isn't a computer that I can download notepad on). If you can get a PDF up or something that would be great :P.
It's 6/8, but 12/8 could work too, if you wanted it to (much like 4/4 can work for some 2/4 songs).

looks good to me - 6/8 is what you want with the feeling of two

9/8 is three and wouldn't work. 12/8 is four beats to the measure and would work fine. No reason you can't stick with 6/8, though.

Yup, the verdict is... 6/8 or 12/8 :P.
