You know how after finishing a piece of music it's sometimes almost impossible to get back into it? I wrote this back in March, I think, and didn't have the guts to submit it at the time. Since then, I've tried several times to pick it back up and update it, but it invariably ends up sounding worse to me than it did to begin with. So, I've finally decided it was either perfect from the start, or I'm tired of waiting :)
So, without further ado, I present: Broadway!
As this is my first submission, I guess should also include this stuff:
Personal Info:
ReMixer name: inertia
real name: John McCormick or John William McCormick IV - take your pick :) email address: john@jiv.us
website: http://jiv.us/
forum userid: terin
ReMix Info:
Name of Game: Wrecking Crew
Name of song: BGM A
Composer: Hirokazu Tanaka
System: NES
NSF Found at: http://www.planetnintendo.com/nindb/nes/wr/index.shtml
NSF Found at: http://www.atarihq.com/tsr/nsf/nsf.html
My thoughts:
As I said above, I think it's either perfect the way it is or so far from where it should be that it'll never get there. My main regrets are
(a) the ok-at-best quality of my samples, and (b) the fact that I couldn't expand the interesting bits towards the end any further.
Nevertheless, I think this is a fun piece, and that it captures the feel of the game it's coming from quite well. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
