I honestly don't know why Ty or Shael hasn't posted this already, so I'm going to go ahead and do it.

Shael Riley (http://www.ocremix.org/artist/4357/shael-riley) is a pretty big mover and shaker in the community. Shael Riley has come a long way since his first few OverClocked ReMixes (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00209/). He's released a free album, "Toybox," of incredibly catchy original work (http://shaelriley.com/toybox). He's co-directed the OverClocked ReMix Street Fighter II album "Blood on the Asphalt" (http://sf2.ocremix.org/) which eventually got Capcom's attention and OCReMix it's involvement in the Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix soundtrack (http://www.ocremix.org/info/OC_ReMix:_Super_Street_Fighter_II_Turbo_HD_Remix_O fficial_Soundtrack). He's also involved with the nerdcore hip-hop supergroup The Grammar Club (http://thegrammarclub.com/) (whom was also on the HD Remix soundtrack, and later released a vocal version of their track (http://remix.thasauce.net/song/RTS0156/) featuring member nerdcore rapper, Beefy (http://www.beefyness.com/). However, he is absolutely NOT Disk Mastah Smokabitch (http://olremix.org/remixes/300).

Now Shael is working on an ALL NEW project along with his good friends Ricky Henry (http://rickyhenry.com/) and Ty Guenley (http://www.ocremix.org/artist/4515/suzumebachi) (Suzumebachi of OverClocked ReMix and ThaSauce.net (http://thasauce.net)) called "Shael Riley and the Double Ice Backfire (http://bitpopshop.com/shael-riley-amp-the-double-ice-backfire--songs-from-the-pit.html)." The SRTDIB is a NES Rock band with Shael on the vocals & Famicom Tracking, Ricky on the drums, and Ty providing plenty of chugga-chugga for a sort of 90s grunge feel mixed with all your favorite 8bit blips and bloops.

They made their debut last month in Orlando, FL at Nerdapalooza, the biggest nerdcore event in history (http://www.nerdapaloozafest.com/), where they shared the stage with artists like MC Lars, MC Frontalot, and mc chris (along with many many more) (http://www.nerdapaloozafest.com/?page_id=40).

Chugga Chugga.

The Bottom of the Pit makes me want to listen to Smooth Criminal now. Is that intentional? Got some deal going with the Jackson estate? How did you do that?

Love it and everything about it, but don't call it NES Rock. That Fight Dragons band does that and I don't think NES Rock is a good term because I think of the Advantage and Minibosses when I hear that term.

Just my two prick cents.

That said, I'm getting the tape.

Hey! Thanks for doing this intricately detailed write-up on me, Doug! :D

I didn't want to do a big, self-promoting post that was all like "buy my new album" so I'm glad you did one for me.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. Glad you're liking it.

Nobody will think less of you if you do so. Please let us know about your new albums when they are coming out.

Or just get Rama to do your PR.

Agreed, I have a love affair with that song going back several years, and this cover is solid gold. I'll be buying this tape as soon as the store gets back on speaking terms with paypal.

EDIT: Well paypal seems to be a little screwy today, but I finally got my order through, and bought a copy of Bremelanotide for good measure (despite already having downloaded it some time ago - I <3 My Gay Shirt)

why is it in audio casette format
because we're indie like that

there will be a CD eventually but some tracks are going to be forever exclusive to the cassette
