This isn't bad at all. You used one of my favorite themes from this game, and everything is done in great styling. Sounds like something from Tekken.

I heard this one back when Star first released it; and it's still some damn good breakbeat action. It's a minor departure from his other works, but Star knows quality and this is some solid work. Check it.

This is freakin' cool. Good job Star. I always love your stuff, especially like Pillar of Salt. Your creativity and ability to translate it into sweet tunes is something a lot of people want. I love the beginning bassline goin on, and the heavy panning later on.
Good stuff. :)

I had proclaimed Prot King of the sweet b33tz, badass synths, and epic makeovers. After listening to this, I'd say he's got some major competition.
Great song, Star!

I thought this was a bit out there compared to some of Star's other works. I think it's hard to judge this since his mixes tend to be more eccentric to start with. The only parts that I found where above the line were near 3:00 when the music started really surronding the person and a few of the transitions. Not bad at all, but I wish it had been more constant in some parts. ((PS, I loved the game sounds, EXCELLENT AS WELL))

Its not up the the same awsomness level as some of stars other works. Star is sort of hit and miss with electronic music. Some of them are the best electronic remixes ever made, some suck. This one didnt hold my interest as much as some of his other works. Sort of average stuff for him. THe game sound effects where a little distracting.

I usually don't like electronic music, but this just grooves. It's a definite keeper. And Fei's death wail at the end brought back memories of serious ass-kicking.
Good to see this on OCR. Funny thing, thanksgiving weekend, star snuck into #ocr pretending to be a noob and asking people about remixing. Good times for everyone, but when he was unveiled and semi serious conversation happened (as best as you can get with Star) he wondered what the status of his submitted mixes were, this one included. Having gotten this mix from VG a bit back, I was hoping that it would show up on OCR soon, and now it's here.
Good stuff from Star. I'm a big fan of his vocal mixes, and his instrumental stuff doesnt fail to deliver either. A grooving track, with some interesting things going on. Not star's best, but still a good listen on repeat.
Looking forward to more Salzman. Hopefully, perhaps...the CT Hourglass remix? :)

Mine plays with a gap in the sound around 2:00. Is that normal? Otherwise, I'd actually like to hear this one played a touch faster.

Yes the gap is intentional, for craps sakes...
Beautiful. I loves teh mute controlzorz!

Wow, definatly check this one out!
Great use of pan, slicing, dicing, gating all these great effects
Nice solid, hard bassline then great drums added
But the ending, the voice sounds outa time, its not echo-ing at the right time
This song reminds me alot of Infected Mushroom - Sailing in the Sea of Mushroom, especially the synth which first comes in at 0:16
Nice work, Starz!!

This is one hell of an awesome remix. I've been listening to it for a couple of months, and you really have to play it for a while before you can start to grasp the subtleties in the work. At first I thought it was just another average remix, but when you actually pay close attention, you can tell that star (aka THE MAN) has really taken all of Tekken's musical motifs and incorporated them brilliantly in what I think is one of the crappiest songs from the entire street fighter 2 series. (Fei long stage music sucks, (GO Sagat, it's your birthday)). Anyways, to all Star's detractors, all I can say is, you wish j00 had star's skittlez.

I liked this song in it's original form, I also like Star's work. So when I saw this, I downloaded it immediately. It's good stuff.
Also, I can't help but think that the end of this song is a homeage to the SFII Animated Movie. The "Shouryuken" and Fei Long KO cry clips is what I mean. Although in the movie, it was the hurricane kick that beat Fei Long...
This remix is great! Very good the Fei Longer Theme.
In 01:34 the sound is distorted. That is curious!
I liked the part notable in 01:59. A small "silence stretch", makes well.
The end is funny. Fei Longer finishes with an echo.
Nice Work, Man!

the synth came in to early at the beginning, the DnB should have repeated atleast for one more bar

Contrary to what others say, Fei Long's theme was one of my faves from this game. So naturally I'm psyched to see that someone gave it some attention, no less than Star, and I'm most pleased with the remix. It's on my playlist with Sakura and Cammy's remixes. ^__^

Well, I must say, I don't really know much about music. I do, however, know what I like. And I like this song.
Side note: Er, djpretzel, it's "Marshall" Law, not Martial. Sound pun notwithstanding. >.>

Does the beginning of this song remind anyone of one of the song by Klint off the Snatch soundtrack?
Man that's so badass.

woooooooooooooo!!!
I love that part! I like screamin' that really loud in the car (at the same pitch too.) and it weirds out the people next to me, this is a great homage to FeiLong as well as BruceLee. Loved every second of this remix.

i think part in this song seemed short
each part could have been extended
star wouldnt have to add anything, he'ld just have to repeat stuff
the song would be aloot longer and better
the song is the opposite of too repetitive

I gotta say, this is definitely a superb remix.
This mix definitely has a "get up and kick ass" kind of feel to it, and the sound clips, while at first seem awkward, are an instant hit in which many people, including myself, have laughed or or enjoyed as part of the song.
The overall feeling the song gives as it changes the tempo in some places while still maintaining the same theme in the backdrop only accents the overall feel of the song, keeping it pacd out really nicely, while yet making it much more enjoyable as things change slightly, such as the dramatic stop/go towards the end.
Love it.
Hell, even the mentally retarded client that I tend to take to work in my car loves it.
And that, oddly enough, is actually a really big praise to be said, since developmentally disabled individuals aren't exactly easy to please at every turn.

HELL YEAH!!!
This mix rocks, I just want to go beat the snot out of something.
Cool stuff to say the least.
Wow. Just..wow. I can't believe this song is so great.

I had placed this on my latest OCR CD, just because I had heard it when I was half asleep and thought it was cool and jotted it down in a .txt file.
But when I actually listened to the whole thing while driving on the long haul to school I make 3 times a week? DAMN
I'm impressed, Star, very impressed.
This has the phattest beat of just about any Street Fighter or even Capcom or even any VGMix on this site, and is definitely one of the most well made comedic ones.
Fei Long's howling is the FUNNIEST thing to hear coming out of my car when I have the windows rolled down. Seeing people's reactions to the screaming Fei-Boy is always golden.
Thanks for mixing this Starby.

Since I graduated from college, I've had very, very fleeting access to the internet. But I do remember, about a year, year and a half ago, trying to mount a campaign to get this theme covered cos it was so badass. I don't know if that had anything to do with it, and I know I'm trying to get a finger's grip on credit for a remix that I'm sure is totally friggin awesome (nothing to listen to it with yet) but in any case, Star, you've got my undying gratitude for putting this sucker together.

This has got to be the best theme song remix ever, I mean, Feilong is my favorite street Fighter, even though he falls absent in many games. I'm a fan of Bruce Lee and Feilong is a tribute to him, I often play this song during an action scene in a Bruce Lee movie, and to my surprise, it goes with it. Awesome job Star Salzman, 5 out of 5 stars!!!!!!! :D
I'm sorry, this mix doesn't quite work as it is, imo.
Fei-long's theme isn't just electro-techno material. :?
I'm not saying that this isn't a well done and well polished mix, but that there are better ways to approach this.
I gotta disagree with 42, i think for the most part this really worked. The super analogue lead i'm not as sold on, but the rest of the track is pretty slammin. The hard pans at the 2:50ish point ar4e absolutely brilliant. Super pro stuff, and a very good mix overall.
