Avatar? Display Picture

Okay so, Are they same thing here?
I can't seem to upload my own avatar.
Can we upload our own Display pic or something?
Help :D would be appreciated.

You select an avatar from the gallery already in place. When you log on, click on User CP, then Edit Avatar (under Settings and Options), and browse until you find one you like. Select it and it'll appear to the left of your username.

If you want to upload your own, post your candidate in this thread (http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3715) (follow the guidelines in the first post) and wait for Liontamer to leave comments in your post saying yay or nay. If he approves, it'll show up in the gallery. But you gotta wait, 'cause he's a busy man.

People should be free to upload any avitar they want just like on any other site.

I half agree, half disagree. The agree side of me likes being able to upload a unique avatar. The disagree side is very glad it doesn't have to put up with the inevitably stupid avatars many people will upload.

I don't really like the idea of having to choose from a gallery, but you can always use a signature if you want something unique.

Nah but seriously. No whining here. Just figure it'd be sweet to be able to upload your own avatar. But having a overlord of some sort to cast opinion on peoples choice in avatar choices seems a bit like a Dictator move.

If Larry likes you enough, you can ask him for a custom avatar that only you can use. One way to make Larry like you enough is to do things he would like you to do. There may be other ways too.
