VG Music for Marching Band

I've seen the marching band show with Halo and Kingdom Hearts as pieces, but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on other music pieces that could potentially be arranged and used for a marching band show.

Final Fantasy always works well, but if you're going to be selecting pieces to use in a marching band I'd suggest shopping around different genres and titles.

Some stuff translates better than others especially given the prevalence of brass in marching bands over other, more melodious types such as strings and woodwinds.

There's a youtube video of a Californian college doing a marching band video game show (I can't remember which one it is). They did Pong, Tetris, Mortal Combat, Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, and Mario if I remember correctly. If I wasn't at work I'd dig it up for you, but I'm sure someone will post it.

I might've seen that same show. Where was it?

Mario would probably work well, since it's fairly well known and usually pretty peppy. Aside from that, I'd also go with Final Fantasy.

I'm pretty sure that it was the University Of California, Berkeley, that did the Nintendo show. Youtube it.

I was once at a competition that did music from FF7, including, of course, OWA. And of course, I missed it because my band was warming up at that time. But my friend and I saw the shirts and were like "God damn..."

If you take out the strings, Frog's Theme at the end of this arrangement (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSKtZf-CUYU&feature=response_watch#) of the Chrono Series is very much in the style for a marching band. Something like that may work. Hope you can pull this off! :D
