Pretty awesome mix - this is one of my favorite tracks from the game. It gets quiet a bit too soon though, that's probably this track's only downfall. Overall it's a great one, but relatively short. Must it only be 2:59? :(

Hey! Golden Sun was... um... forgettable! But this remix is pretty slick. The guitar has a great texture. Kind of seems like the climax comes a bit too early (at 0:46?) and then straight-forward coverage of the Sanctum theme continues until the end. Nice work though.

EDIT: Good stuff. I disagree with people who say it was too short though; I'd take too short over too repetitive anyday. I think EgM said all that he needed to in his time slot. A keeper.

I'm a huge Golden Sun fan and I think this song is awesome. It does the original tune justice. Sadly though it wasn't one of my favourite tunes in the game. Yet I do really like this piece. Hopefully we will see some of the other tunes for the game done.

I'll have to jump on the 'too short' bandwagon, too. But it's nice even though I haven't played the game. Reminds me of a whole bunch of things. Something on the order of Pink Floyd playing New Order's "Elegia". But yeah this is very Pink Floyd esque, with the use of the guitar and violin bits. Something about the overall pacing and drums gives me the same thoughts. Were you going for a PF feel at all?

Coincidence that this midday i was listening to almost the whole sountrack of the game, and replaying Sol Sanctum a few times. I must say, i don't like this one. It doesn't feel right to me. I like the original better.
Though i'd love to hear GS remixes, too bad this one slips away for me

The guitar is quite amazing. Also the panning effect with the crash in 00:45, did a good contrast. The violin is romantic. I enjoyed the beats and strings too. Piano of high quality. The excellent instruments just make this a pleasure to listen to. Lovely.

this piece has some quality moments... especially from 00:48 to 01:08, which features some of the finest guitar work and mixing in the entire scene, i would say. :)

but, it seems as if it weren't for that 20 second part, (which is sweet but oh so short) the song would be a bit lacking in the mixing and arrangement department.

it could have been really great if you had elaborated more on the mix, though! :)

This Song is great, no, fantastic!

I like it. The slo guitar is very cool and the background music fits to the guitar.

I played Golden Sun 1 and 2 very very very long. I solved everything and in my opinion this games can beat many Final Fantasy games.

Ha, ditto on the video (sans putting it on my iPod since I don't have one :( ). Truly a man of many talents!

Anyway, EgM's stuff is always on the conservative side, but I think the source is served well in this arrangement. The slower pace gives it an almost meditative quality...it actually reminds me of Schala's theme in some aspects. Love the contrast between the electric guitar and acoustic sections.

The length didn't bother me significantly, but I can't say I wouldn't have appreciated more. :)

The entire mix seems quiet to me. I would have liked everything up a notch or two. Choice of instruments is great; guitar, violin, and piano are always a good combination, especially for the more emotional settings like this one. I like the melody for this one, but I honestly can’t place it. I’ll have to go back to the source.

I’m a sucker for harmony, and 2:10 is great to me. Easily my favorite part of the entire piece.

This mix is heavy, mellow yet purposeful, contemplative, very oceanic i.e. deep, solemn, with a subtle yet noticeable ebb and flow.

There's nothing that really that's flashy or jumps out at me in this mix, but that's fine; it works great by being subtle. Perfect rainy day music.

Ultimately, I like it and think it's good and worth downloading.

great intro- I wasn't a fan of the exposed lead tone, but once the drums and bass came in it worked well. Good transitions and a nice instrumental pallate make this a good track to keep on repeat. The piano is nice, and though the violin is a little bit brittle, the rest of the track makes up for it.
