Edit #2: I should add this - I want the tracks on this project to be full of imagery of stuff that you'd expect to see in a Mega Man X series game. I want a clear direction that the songs take listeners in, and constant feedback with me and other comrades on board. Which one do you mean? X Hunter Stage 1? I have no problems with multiples btw, as the Blizzard Buffalo track is an indication.

Anyone involved in 4 however might want to look into singers; Pixietricks especially in this case. That was i believe the first opening sequence to go vocal and i'm relatively certain the FMV's have vocals as well.

There are just so many great songs to cover here. It's nice to have extended the scope to the whole X serie.

I agree with Lea, Command Mission has some good, yet under-appreciated songs, like Steel Massimo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZ9GkYkkELg&feature=related) or Marino (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dkWSCpQNXw&feature=related)'s themes.
Time is scarce atm, but I'll probably audition for Commander Yammark from Rockman X6 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlbBD0GEobw&feature=related) in a few weeks.

His arms and legs were intentionally sized that way. I know in official artwork he is much bulkier, but this is OC Remix. The tracks on this site are from people who love and appreciate these great games, but are not remastered copies of the original. They contain elements of the original, so they are still identifiable, but then artistic liberties are taken so the track develops its own identity. I took my own artistic influences and ideas and combined them with several different designs of X. (and there are design differences. Over the years he grows taller and thinner in the way people draw him. Quite a few video game characters seem to have this happen over time, Sonic for example.)
So in this he is still clearly X, but with my own artistic flair and passion for the character.

@dyne. His head is there because hes crouching over towards camera. I wanted to give him a more dramatic and heroic pose then just standing there. He looks tense, like he's about to jump in and save the day. Or at least thats what i was going for.

His arms and legs were intentionally sized that way. I know in official artwork he is much bulkier, but this is OC Remix. Ahhh... Got it. He looks a little spooky to me, like X has been doing crack for a while or something. Way too skinny and long-limbed, and even his bony hand looks sinister. Plus he hunches like he's been stuck in a box for too long. It's a cool pic, but it doesn't look like the X I know. Had it been a human being or, I dunno, one of the bad guys, it would rock.

You said pretty much the same thing about the password theme though, so, what angle would you LIKE me to go with it, and what makes you think I might not? Is the genre my mixes generally fall into not to your taste, or do you just doubt my ability? If the latter, I completely understand, but if the former, I'm not sure I do.

For the record, I intended to stick with the style, and not deviate much from the original arrangement, only I'd have real guitars and possibly some vox. I could ask Willrock to do some solos if you want. He should be able to crank some out by the time this is due...

It's a very in your face song, with a sample that's like a lead guitar kicking it off, which you sort of expect for a fire stage (at least the in your face part). I want any arrangement of this to reflect the more brash nature, and I'm not fully convinced it can be worked to the max without guitars by most. If you wish to take a different route, ok, but just know that I'm taking a very hands on role in vetting WIPs on this project and that includes direction.

Hi there! Joining the project, can see that bLiNd has Sigma Stage 1, but now, so does The Dual Dragons hehe. One of the strongest track from Megaman X imo.
We'll probably choose at least one more track, and it will most likely be a Zero medley. But we'll see!

Something distinguishable and established maybe. 45secs to a minute would be plenty IMHO. I have listened to your work on NG man but hopefully it can be distinguishable and unique. =D

WIPs are meant to just be able to see progress, and how you intend on going with stuff - they can be however you want them to be. People often have multiple WIPs throughout the span of their progress of varying lengths and varying amount of development. Just as long as each WIP progresses nicely from the last one, that should be enough. Unless you like to do incremental WIPs of a smaller degree but more often, that works too.

Edit: So while the day nears to an end, I have almost all of the WIPs I expected for today - Gario and Ergosonic posted WIPs in the project forum. So our current tally for WIPs for tracks is 68% by this deadline, which isn't too shabby since Sixto has 10% of the undone tracks, and those tracks claimed by others on the project doing multiple tracks without a WIP are 11% - that accounts for most of the album. For everyone else, I'm pretty much in contact with the others, so good job everyone! This is looking to be quite a beast of a project!
