The People's Remix Competition 162
PRCv7-06
Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! (www.doulifee.com/prc/PrcSong/PRCcommercial.wmv)
A little earlier as usual, but here's the new PRC round.
PRC160 was a typical year-end PRC, with only S|r Nuts submitting a song; PRC161 a typical year-start PRC. Luckily Txai found some time to submit a song. It was a good one, and of course it was good enough to win. Txai selected the source for the new round.
PRC Classic of the two weeks
The classic of this round is PRC57. The source of that contest was Fantasy Zone Ending Theme. Zeven remixers where able to submit a song. LAOS claimed the Last Place Wooden Spoon. Others who didn't end in the top 3 where Chokster37, Darth Gourry and V_Gasm. Nasenmann couldn't win and even Rexy didn't receive the most points.
The winner was Opk with a song called Xmas Zone (http://www.doulifee.com/prc/PrcSong/prc57/prc57_-_opk_-_xmas_zone.mp3).

This round, Txai has selected the source.
It has been quite a while since PRC had a source material from an arcade game, so here's an mp3 from Black Tiger (Stage 1).
No MIDI this time. Still, everyone has the capabilities to pick up stuff by ear, right?

Black Tiger is the game. It's not the first Arcade Game in the PRC history. PRC50 (Penguin Adventure) was the first. Also the classic of this round, PRC57 had an arcade tune (there's always some connection): Fantasy Zone. Other PRC's where PRC63 (Metal Slug) and PRC79 (Bubble Bobble), so it has been a while.
The Ocremix database doesn't know the game yet, I haven't seen a single remix in my whole life. Time to change that.
GOOD LUCK!
