Hehehehehe, this is a bit of a silly one. The observatory theme rocks- no question. That tune will be stuck in your head for days. So anyways I decided I'd do a jazz mix, but it turned into a sorta pr0nz groove and it made me laugh; don't worry, the SFX is all from Mario. Peach and Rosalina to be exact.

OH YEAH! Before you listen remember that I need to record the sax part at some point so the MIDI-esque sax is just temporary! Yay! I'd love feedback, that would be sweet.

This is hot, dude. It sounds alright now with the fake sax, but it'll sound amazing with live sax. I agree that the so-called 'ending' might not be the best direction to go in, but it might fit well later in the mix, depending on where you take it.

Right okay. Finished the actual composition and arrangement. Just waiting on my XLR to USB cable to arrive from teh USAs and I'll be able to record mah sax. Urgh, I feel dirty misusing those perfectly innocent SFX, but, it is damn funny.

Oh yeah. I'm stuck on a name. Should I go with- 1. "Fill Me Up With Snacky Happiness" or 2. "Restoring the Energy to Rosalina's Bedroom". They're both pretty cringy lame- but that's the point! ^w^

Digging the arrangement. This should sound awesome with live sax. As for the title, "Fill Me Up With Snacky Happiness" has more of a ring to it, I think. The other one's also funny but more of a mouthful. I feel dirty using that word in this thread, but that can't be helped.

A belated thanks guys. Well I stopped working on this when my microphone all borked up. Now I've got a method of recording that isn't COMPLETELY AWFUL I wondered if you guys could give me a heads up on the mastering/EQing of teh track.

Only done the beginning 'cuz just wanted to check that I'm, like they say, doin it rite.

So yeah. I never subbed or finished this, HOWEVER apparently I had the majority of it done. Yes, yes, the sax is replaced with a funky WOOW synth at the end, and yes, it does clip, but that's secret clipping and it's very rude to poke about in people's private lives isn't it?

Haaaa... nice use of Rosalina's voice clips. Missed this one ages ago, but now I'm here to say this is a really cool mix. Short, sweet and to the point. One thing that bugs me a bit is the mixing of the sax - imo it sounds like you went really heavy on the stereo separation, there. Could you center the sax a little bit? It just sounds a little askew to me.

Great sound, though. I likes it. Best of luck with the J's.

Void.pointer probably went from the link in the first post, alot of people do that because its the default post most people see when they view threads (I have it set so I see the most recent post, rather than the first).
I always update my link in the first post as a result, might be a good idea for you to do the same in future, just as a precaution :P

Also, the guitar... I think it can depend on your daw. I managed to get a very similar sound out of my sequencing of an acoustic guitar when I sequenced in garageband but its much harder to sequence that way in reason for some reason.

As for the track itself, I think that the opening chiptune synth is really piercing. Thats my only production gripe, everything else is fine, it sounds really full. Comparing this with the last version and judging from your general growth as a remixer, your rate of improvement is legendary, I ENVY YOU.

Altho whats with the 5 second silence, its not even silence, the chiptune synth goes up in volume ever so slightly just enough to be audable when it should have ended... sounds like a automation error on your part, do correct me if i'm wrong :P

The automation thing was fixed on the submission, as was the piercing quality of the synth, but I still think you won't like it. Hehe. So I'm guessing it downloaded fine from any link that wasn't the first post. Hrm.
