I've played Rico regular and Vandoran since elementary school, and I play Vandoran 3 now on a Meyer mouthpiece. I'll consider alternate reeds and such, but right now I'm busy getting ready for my last year of high school, so my jazz band arrangement I'm doing is more important than what my solo sound is.
so, the release is going to be after OCR1500, but is there anything else after that? Or is it going to be OCR1500 *BOOM* Project Chaos release? That doesn't seem likely...

I just figured OCR1500 would get a week or two of solid exposure in that spotlight box, and then we'd slowly just kinda... slide in. But in a BIG BANG sorta way.
Nah, I would figure that OCR1500 would be another djp song, probably his material for the Tales project. But only time would tell, that's for sure o_O

That's odd. So far as I remember, KyleJCrb wanted to wait until you guys had been out for a month before he launched SOS.
That's why I got pissed off when I saw that DJP had _finally_ posted OCR_1499. I was like, "Well, shit, now it'll be at least a week before he updates with OCR_1500, and it will be a while after that before Project Chaos, and a while after that before SOS."
But yeah, I don't necessarily remember perfectly.

So, basically we're estimating anywhere from 2 weeks to a month?

I got rid of the blue glow that was on Knuckles' head, and I've tinkered with the back a little. Which do you think works better, white disc names or red and blue disc names?
I also uploaded a non-blurred version of the back at Vilecat's request.

Hurrah! So, er, what happened there?

DJP relocated the website to a new server after it went down at the old host.
Ah. I thought we'd been hacked or something.
I'll carry this over in case anyone missed it:

hobo, I like the art with the blurred background. Of course, you'll have to alter the tracklist to match the new 3 disc list. But you knew that.:P
Awesome stuff though. Bitchin.
The third disc will be in a seperate case, which I'm working on right now.
If the project leaders have any info like an 'About the Project' paragraph or something else to go inside, I'd appreciate if I could get that.

Blurred looks better after all, yeah. And the frot with the light effect taken out of Knuckles' head looks much better too =P
Dunno if you guys would put it on the site or not, but I still have an old WIP of Flying Battery when Beatdrop was doing the song. It's about 2 minutes long. My AIM is Pogo708 if anyone wants it.

Didn't he finish that song? Or is this (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01393/)another song?

not yet. We're still stuck at 1499, so DJP and the rest aren't done setting up the site for 1500
Wait, is there going to be something special on the release of 1500? Or is it just the torrent?

Most likely not. Project Chaos won't be released until AFTER 1500. Most likely at least several days after, if not more.

For some reason I just assumed the switch to vBulletin would happen at 1500, just since it's a milestone. But maybe not.

It's a secret to everyone.
DJP said in the chat last night that 1500 will arrive before the end of the month. I'm sure we're getting closer with every passing hour :)

So...within the next week for 1500. Then probably another two for Chaos.
Not bad. It'll come quick enough.

When it's done.for what I know, it IS done (but one track).
we're just waiting for djp, who didn't post a remix "for the longest time in the site history".
release the project already, who cares about OCR #1500.

Was there a particular reason that they couldnt release the 1500 AND Project Chaos at the same time? I mean it would be cool because then instead of two seperate headlines you could have one big one. Now I know that's probably not going to happen, but I was just wondering why exactly.
Unless of course this was discussed before, then in that case disregard this whole thing.
But what exactly is it that we're waiting for to be finished? Is it just Snappleman's Doomsday track? I'm not asking when, just wondering what the hold up is.
Sindra

Did I say it *will* be done in two weeks after 1500? No. If it's not, it's not. I'll be worth it all the same.

Yes, SnappleMan's Doomsday track is the last song, but that's only a tiny part of what is holding things up. As he said a few pages ago, Snapple is planning on going back through all of the tracks and remastering them. There's also most likely some finishing touches being put on the artwork and final website, not to mention bonus content integration, ID3 tags, making up the torrent, garnering more mirrors if necessary, along with whatever else. There's a lot more to a (good) project than just plopping the songs on some webspace. Oh, and DJP has to release remix #1500 onto OCR first, which should be within the week.

Actually, for your information, I have been very patient. I wouldn't care if it took another year to be released. I'm aware how much work goes into getting such projects released. I would be more upset if it was released to early and sounded bad, than it was released many months later and sounded teriffic.
Perhaps I did sound impatienet with that post though. If I did, my mistake.

Just don't let him screw stuff up like Prot and the Relics of the Chozo. "Remastering," though, sounds a lot safer than, "collabing or soloing every fucking song," and I trust Snapple a hell of a lot more than Prot... though I guess this would make this post irrelavent, I'll leave this up for anyone thinking the same thing as me.

Err, "remastering" just means he's going back and adjusting volume levels and equalization for optimum sound quality.

Okay, this is the final post in this thread. I am locking this thread now, since there is no further need for discussing this project.
I will not be EQing any tracks, that's like repaiting a face on someones painting. Some volume will be adjusted, but other than that there will be NO altering of the tracks.
The idiots arguing over releases and being impatient assholes have caused me to have to lock this thread. Logically, there's nothing left to do here but argue over release details and other bullshit which don't concern anyone but me.
I will open a Project Comments and Feedback thread when I release it. Till then, you gotta find something else to bitch about.
