It might be a good idea for some of us who have been done a really long time to go back and just make sure some of the production or other aspects of our songs are up to snuff, and polish things up.
Just a thought. I plan to do so.

Yea thats exactly what im doing. You could also send stuff to a few other project members if your unsure if something is good or not. Its good to know what people think.

Jan 31st is fine, I plan to have it done much sooner anyways, hopefully within the week.
But I've hardly been slacking off, for the record. My course work for college has been getting heavier and heavier, and in the whole year I've only had two weeks holidays (this is my second week now), and even then I'm doing homework throughout. I also did the website for this project, and doing stuff like that takes a lot longer than you might think.
It's not just about finding time, either, it's about being in the right mood to work on something like this. There have been plenty of times when I've forced myself to sit down and try something out, working on it for a few hours, only to revert to an older version because I didn't like the way it was sounding. I've revised the mixing countless times, reworked the structure and changed instruments around. I'm no musical genius, trying to get this to sound nice is a whole lot of trial and error for me, and that takes time. As another note, I did have more than one track, another one which I'd completed, but that didn't make it onto the project if anyone remembers.
Ohwell, doesn't matter. It'll be done in time either way.
But seriously, KFC, get some damn webspace already! If you want the site to go up, this week is the best time for me to make that happen. I can do it later too, but this week would be the best, so yeah. Webspace would be nice. Cheers,
~Hadyn

Remove me, please. I doubt I'll be able to make that deadline. I simply don't have enough free time and I have other personal projects that are my top priority at this moment. Sorry for the trouble.
I'm sure to be able to refine my track by that date; I'll have plenty of ideas to keep things going.

Well, if anyone else decides to drop, I SUPPOSE I could pick up their tracks. All I'm writing at the moment are originals for fun, so, maybe a serious song would help me focus.

KFC, if any of these artists do in fact get dropped - or if some of you guys aren't stimulated enough to carry on some of your work - I'll see if I can go across the community to find some people who may take up the post.

And for the last time people, this isn't a REMIX project! Maybe ReMix was good enough for Hedgehog Heaven, but we're actually doing something that wont suck. So it's ARRANGEMENT COLLABORATION.

...stupid mod powers...
I went with "Arrangement Project" because I couldn't spell "Collaboration". :)
But anyway, it's great to hear that Rexy will be helping you guys out. It looks like her Dodge Ball track may be put on the back burner for a while, but it'll be worth it if it means that this project gets finished sooner.

Cool.
I wanted to comment on something mentioned on the front page...post production. I think it's definitely needed...I know my songs, personally, have always had lots of dynamics, usually leading to damaged speakers and eardrums when listening to finished tracks. I think post production would help a lot to give the whole project a more united, smoother feel.
Just my two cents.

Ichi... There are a few reasons it's not public yet.
The main reason is that the background music is currently placeholder, and sort of in violation of copyright, which obviously needs to be changed.
The second reason is that some of the content such as the "thankyou" section is currently non-existent. IE. I need to get that info from the project leaders. I also need to amend some of the content, like the news page and the about page to include info on our new third project director.
I also need to get the links page working with some fancier buttons, though that's not nearly as important and can wait until after the site goes public. So mainly the first two reasons.
Don't worry though, I promised to make a good site and I'm determined to come through!

Well, considering that Kyle made a Wikipedia article for the project (in haste, IMO), I'd recommend anyone else do what they can to contribute content regarding the project to prevent the article from being deleted.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Project_Chaos
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Chaos
In the future, I'd say wait until a project is wrapped up/about to be released before doing a page on it. Otherwise, people get the wrong idea that it's meant to be some sort of advertisement.

Hadyn

This initial screen is outdated anyways, the whole design changed quite dramtically since then.
Hmmm.... The main thing that's going to delay a public release of the site would be the background music... I need atleast three tracks before this thing goes online. I have snapps and kanjika helping out, but if anyone else wants to make some background music for the website, it's open to anyone on the project. Actually, if you're good, it's probably open to anyone.
What I need is short, background music-ish remixes. Quality here isn't quite as important as tracks on the project, but obviously we want stuff that still sounds nice. You can make it mostly original, but be sure to mix in bits and pieces from s3k tunes. It could be a medley.
A good length would be around about a minute. Longer or shorter is okay, but I don't want people to have to stream massive files so keep that in mind.
The songs will appear on the bonus tracks section of the site... this is sort of like the "unofficial" third disc, I suppose.
Any questions, just ask!

I started a medley that could be used as background or something. It's kind of a mellow piano/bass centered thing. I'll pm you (hadyn) with a link of a demo so you can tell me if it's suitable or not.
I also saw that titles have been assigned to the tracks. I thought mine were respectively decided on "Divided From Grace" and "Schumacher's Bar"?

It's gonna take me a while to think of another, if you put it that way. That's been the working title since I started the whole thing.
Maybe when I add the final bits I will more than likely ask someone else for a title, because you know in the past 2 months if not more, most of my titles plain out sucked :?

Well, I don't know for sure, but seeing as "the american album" was an effort by Mazedude alone, he probably just had a donation button because it was on his website. It most likely didnt have anything to do with his project.

Just clearing things up, it was intended for the project. The American Album was originally intended for a OneUp Studios release, legalised and everything. Circumstances made Mazedude change that to a free release, instead putting a donation system to get some money back from all the work he put in. He could do that legally because it wasn't directly involved with the music, more a 'on the side, give money because he deserves it' thing.

Why isn't "Sonic" part of the thread title? Who actually associates "Project Chaos" with Sonic automatically? Anyone who likes Sonic probably won't even realize that this thread has anything to do with the game. Though I guess if you're trying to keep the project a secret, this could be a good idea. :?
Hey, at least it's less cheesy than Hedgehog Heaven ;) Besides, Sonic gamers know that they go after the Chaos Emeralds, so it'll all fit. k?

Haha. I don't know, Headgehog Heaven seems ok to me. I don't mind the name Project Chaos, but was thinking a thread title like "Sonic: Project Chaos" would have made more sense and get more people aware; like they have for Doom, Kirby, Dragon Warrior, etc. I didn't know about Chaos Emeralds, I don't read magazines on games when I play them, but alot of games have chaos; so I'd still say it's not a very distinctive title. Most games are about shooting things and blowing things/people up (eg. chaos), so that would only narrow it down to like a million games... right? Sounds like a fun project anyway, can I expect to hear alot of people causing havoc and blowing instruments up in the tracklist? ;)
Nice name BTW Rexy. What happends when I run your program? Can I add it to the ascii menu in my batch file?

Regardless of whether Sonic 3 & Knuckles needs to be in this thread's topic or not, I think chokster's point is worth considering.
When this project gets released, and makes ocremix's front page, it had probably better have the phrase "Sonic 3 & Knuckles" somewhere in the announcement.

I think that's pretty much a given.
I am sure that it will get mentioned. The closest project I know that doesn't have much relating to the game specifically in its title is "Rise of the Star"; while it does indeed fit well for Kirby, the use of rising stars could fall under various other game categories too.
And yet when that got released there definitely was a giant picture of Kirby and a mention of it being a Kirby's Adventure project. So I am sure that when Project Chaos gets release, there will be a big picture of Sonic and/or Knuckles and a mention of Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
ok now? :)

Some bad news. Last night my PC somehow caught some really bad spyware that downloade nasty bugs to my PC. Everything was lost, including my work on this project.
I'll look for an old backup CD that should have some older versions of a couple of the songs, and I'll have to redo many things.
Anyway, I'll need to re-download some tracks from Rexy and a couple others, so expect PMs from me soon.

While I may not guarantee the MP3 that you finalised (as you had the wav files I gave to you to help balance out the bass levels), I can still be able to bring back the couple of wavs needed if the procedure in the brackets had to be redone.

It's a language like asp, php or cgi. Kind of.
Well I'm not really sure, I don't know any of the other languages, thus the reason I'm looking for a cold fusion server.
"Cold Fusion
Cold Fusion is another server-side scripting language used to develop dynamic web pages.
Cold Fusion is developed by Macromedia." - W3schools
Essentially it lets me put stuff on the site such as a shoutbox, a guestbook and an administrative section where the project directors can login and update news articles, update download mirrors or alter information for each track, or add new media like cd covers and stuff, all through the site (no html scripting required!).
The basic way it works is by connecting a database to the website, and letting the site add, remove, edit and display the information from the database by running a series of scripts that I program.
The reason I want to use it is because of the sheer amount of information that's going into the site, I want to make an easy and more enjoyable way for the project directors to alter the info without screwing up my beautiful html. And stuff like shoutboxes and guestbooks are always cool too.
Oh yeah, and it's also an assignment I have to do. Two birds, one stone.

As far as i know, cold fusion isnt commonly supported, i guess you have to install it yourself on the server. But i know you can use MySQL with flash, (and with html using PHP as a server scripting language for example, the code looks pretty much identical to regular java code, simple programming), maybe you should look into that. As its probably the most commonly used database it will also be more valuable to learn how to use these together (flash and MySQL or html/PHP/MySQL). MySQL is a piece of cake to learn really, just google for tutorials, its all out there, and PHPmyAdmin is an easy way to create and manage your database tables, its a webb interface that you log in to on your server. (i guess you know this already, just tryin to be helpful... )
Hadyn
01-12-2006, 11:41 AM
Sounds good, but with all the work at school I'd rather not have to learn a new language right now, if it's possible.
But yeah, I've thought about php as an alternative, and your advice is appreciated there, but I have to do CF for an assignment anyways, so I wanted to kill two birds with one stone and get it going for the project chaos site. I have a lot of assignments in the last two months of my course, so not much spare time.
Knowing that you can use SQL with flash is AWESOME. That makes me very happy. I'm hoping to work mainly with flash websites in the future (for my job), and having databases connected would definitely be a cool feature, plus it would allow me to increase my price just a little...
As for PHP - is it pretty similar in scripting to CF? If it is, maybe you could help me convert the site over to php once I've done it all, if you have some time? The databases would all be the same I imagine, and the query's and all wouldn't change much so it'd just be a bit of scripting here and there.
And yeah, it'd help me get a faster understanding of php, too, so benefits all around I guess. But only if you have time/we can't find a php server.
Well, thanks again for the advice,
~Hadyn
Update:
Decided to read up on PHP at W3schools. You weren't lying when you said it was similar to the other languages! As long as I can figure out how to use sql to import the right info from the databases and all, I should be okay to do most of the php-ing on my own - though obviously some help would still be appreciated if you were willing. But yeah, not for another week or two atleast, gotta finish other stuff first ^^

I have no experience using cold fusion myself..
I have php and mysql on my server, that im also offering for the project. I can offer the help of giving you some example code, but mostly, im extremely buzy nowadays.
Hadyn
01-12-2006, 01:26 PM
Example code of a full page or two would be great. W3c was a bit lacking in that department.
If you can send me a page that has all the scripting on it to connect to a database, retireve info, and later on display that info, that'd be cool. Just html stuff, I'll worry about flash another time. And yeah, if you have any other pages that show some more interesting stuff you think might help, you could send them too.
Best way would probably be to zip them, and email them to hadynlander@hotmail.com whenever you get the time.
Cheers,
~Hadyn

Another bit of bad news.
Sixto was in a MAJOR accident in which he was run over by a forklift. One of his arms is completely shattered and he won't be able to do anything with it for a long while.
I've taken over his track on the project and I hope he gets better.
Now a bit of good news.
I re-installed all my major programs and things since my PC died, and I've since gotten a little bit of my work back on the project. I've been working alot though, and will have all my tracks done by the due date of the project.

Oh no... :( I would say "that sucks" but still, I feel so sorry for him. I hope he'll be okay.
Still, because of this I'm now concerned about what will happen to his Jipang placement on Children of Erdrick as well as some of his stuff on Kyle, Starky and Usa's projects. Whichever happens, I will pray for the best.

Damn, boss1 sonic3 version is free ?? I would have jumped on it but im moving this weekend + got loads of stuff to do right now... Ill be putting up final versions of my two songs on my server later today. Is wav format required ?? How will that be handled ?? Is snapple to edit al wavs or ???
Well my thoughts on this are if the Competition Menu interpretation doesn't go down too well as a result for the main album I might pick up Boss 1 and try that. But still, I know a lot of people are going to squabble every single last opportunity now O_o

As a note, I still haven't worked on my carnival night track for a few weeks, but I'm almost finished the coldfusion version of the html partner-site. If it's at all possible to get a cold fusion server still, that would be awesome. Otherwise I guess I'll just have to learn php. It's just a shame, because I wrote a hell of a lot of CF code. But ohwell. Maybe I'll just remove some of the less-important features and go from there.
Anyways, just thought I'd let ya'll know what's happening.

Why not say Hedgehog Heaven was bad? It had a couple cool tracks, but it was a bit of a disappointment.
On the other hand, All the songs on this project should be of a quality to be accepted by the OCR judges panel, and I look greatly forward to its release.

Greetings!
This is the official thread of the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles Arrangement Project, "Project Chaos".
------------------------------------------------------
To All Project Artists:
We are putting together an "about the artist" section for the site. It will pop up when someone selects your song to download or clicks a link near it.
What I need from all of you is the following:
1. A fairly recent (and decent) picture of you.
2. One paragraph (not too long) that's a profile of you. Your name, age, your relationship to game music.
3. One paragraph about how you tackled and created your song.
4. A link to a homepage, email address and instant messenger screename (at your own disclosure).
Send this information to me (SnappleMan) either by PM here on OCR, email or IM.
-----------------------------------------------------
From SnappleMan:
I personally have decided to appoint a third manager to this project. We need a little help.
The person I've chosen is Rexy. I think she's very capable of handling the things that KFC and I aren't doing too well.
This project has the potential to be great, and not just one or two songs. It's time we stopped bullsh*tting around and finished this up.
To everyone who made a commitment to this project, it's time to make this your top priority (after personal life things, ofcourse). I don't want any more excuses, it's time to get this done, and do it well.
KFC made a good choice in selecting the 31st of January as the due date for final songs. You should all have them done by then, no bullsh*t, just get your work done.
From KFC:
This may be Snapple's best move yet appointing Rexy, considering that all these various loads (like other projects, managing this one, life) are leading to some ridged descions on my part, and the fact that Snapple isn't around often enough to doing anything, Rexy is sure to get our a**es in gear. Jan 31st people, see you there!
REALEASE DATE: .pending.
DEADLINE JAN 31ST!!!!!!!!!
GET THOSE TRACKS DONE
Right now it's crunch time. You guys have had plenty time to work on your tracks, and now it's time to close in and gets things done.
ATTENTION!!! You guys have kept a steady work flow throughout the project's history. You guys have truely impressed me with the lvl of skill displayed. Right now we are the stage where we all should try to focus on finishing our tracks and getting the best sound out of them that we can before preparing them for the album.
The work so far is fantastic, let's keep up this level of quality till the end!
ATTENTION AGAIN!!!
Make sure (this is for finished tracks) that you send your wav files to Snappleman and not KFC, as Snapple is in charge of the mixing of the album and what not.
IMPORTANT!!!
Send your work to BOTH of us. Both SnappleMan and KFC want your work! Talk to the both of us, send us both work, ask us both for help. Right now, we're handling seperate halves of the people, and we don't know what the other is doing. So contact both of us from now on.
NEW UPDATE! - No more posting of WIPs publically. Only send them to me, KFC, and anyone currently on the project. No non-project people should be hearing the music past this point.
DO NOT POST THE FINAL SONG HERE! Do not post it anywhere else online! Keep it a secret till the project is done! If we find that you've been spreading your song around the net, you will be canned!
Some things to note about this project, as our director KungFuChicken!(aka KFC) said, this is a team venture. Think of the project team as one big band. If you think someones work can use something, suggest it. If you want help from someone else on the project, ask them. The main goal for all of us is to produce the best possible music!

Things to consider while working
Keep your tracks at normal volumes. Louder is NOT better. If it sounds like it should be louder, LEAVE IT ALONE. If your track is considerably louder than the others, you'll either have it "adjusted" by me, or you'll have to remix the tracks at normal volumes. Keep your peaks at -0.2dB, RMS levels should not be above -14dB (if you don't know what RMS is, just be sure to keep your music from clipping).
One of my suggestions is that we do some post production on the songs that need it, after they're completed. This way, nothing will overpower anything else with loudness. Reply to this thread with your opinion on this.

As for completion of the project, there's a change in the usual way that projects here get done. KFC and I will decide which songs will make it on. Unless the songs are so close together that we can't really decide, in which case we will throw them over to you for voting. If you feel like complaining endlessly about this, best to quit the project and spare us the spamming.
(I may sound like an ass, but the most important thing is the quality of this project.)

Probably because noone really reads the first page anymore after about 30 pages into the project?
Yeah, but usually when the front page is quoted, they specify WHY they posted it, to emphasize a point. There's alot on those front pages, so, it usually helps get things done to know exactly why the front page was quoted.

I don't expect it to be used on the project since i don't have any remixes posted anywhere online and am not a part of the project, but i do make my own personal remixes for my iPod so i have some experience. Don't know when i'd be able to do it(since i don't have my laptop on campus with me) but if it's still needed when i get around to making something. I'll try if anything just to give someone more capable an idea or two to help there take on the song out some. well cya and looking foward to the project. :D

Sounds good! :D
I'm sorry about the non-completion of my carnival night track so far, I'll try to fix that this weekend. I'm in the last two weeks of my course, and there are still assignments that will probably take me a month to complete, after all the *official* deadlines... So, you know, I am actually kinda busy. But yeah. The track's been basically finished for ages, just wanted to add a solo, which hopefully won't take too long and isn't too major of an addition... just want to give a little more life to the piece.
I haven't had a chance to look at converting the HTML/ColdFusion site to php yet, and I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to do that. If anyone can offer coldfusion hosting, that'd still be VERY appreciated - would save me a lot of time and pain. Hell, maybe we could ask for donations, and actually pay for server space? It just depends whether you want to wait for me to try to convert it or not. With assignments and my actual paid design work, it might be another month or longer before I even look at it.
As for the Flash website, it could still do with some more background music tracks. So far I have about... one. Atleast three total would be good, but I'm hoping for more than that if possible. As soon as it gets more tracks, it can go online. Well, I need a little info from the project directors too, but you know, the main thing holding it up is the lack of background music. I know Snapps himself was working on a piece, maybe the other project directors could help out here aswell, if they have the time? I might also begin asking mixers who aren't already on the project to consider contributing.
Well, that's about it from me for today.
Stay cool,

No worries man. you're already doing so much for the project that I think we can spare a bit of time for you to get your things done.
I have to now really g through all these tracks and start analyzing them. Then contacting whichever artists THOUGHT they were finished and nicely asking for a change or two... which never goes well.
Anyway, yeah, release is gonna be soon. Not right away, but soon enough so that people will FINALLY get to hear this amazing album.

What about "Don't insult people/curse people off"?
There are nicer ways to tell people that they've broken a rule, without making them feel like an idiot.
The community is supposed to be excited, that's the whole point in the project - you can't be angry that some people are a little, say, over-enthusiastic.

All I'm saying is that there are nicer ways to tell people that they've broken a rule, without making them feel like an idiot.
The community is supposed to be excited, that's the whole point in the project - you can't be angry that some people are a little, say, over-enthusiastic.
Alright, I was out of line with the genius comment. I take it back and apologize.
But seriously, asking when the project is coming out doesn't make the project come out any faster, and to be honest, there's no reason that people need to know a release date. It's not something you plan your life around. It'll be out when it's out, end of story. That's why I wrote the rules.
Hadyn
02-11-2006, 05:17 AM
I agree completely, but there'll always be people who don't understand this. We've got to try and stay tolerant and keep a positive image in the eyes of the community for the sake of the project.
Anyways, it's all good now.

So an accurate question would be:
How far along is the project, say in...percentage-wise?
There. Not badgering for a release date, just a simple question that will give the answer that is wanted, without actually asking it.
Not that I honestly care for the answer...the day I see "Project Chaos" on the OCR homepage is good enough for me.

This isn't official or anything, but it's how I think things should be:
Anyone can do album art. There will likely be one "official" cover, but there'll also be bonus covers if anyone else wants to submit anything.
The extra covers would be unique to the Flash website, and would be hidden around so you could find and 'unlock' them, along with other bonus content.
This is official:
As for the background music, a short track (about 1-2 minutes) that uses any of the themes from sonic 3 and knuckles is fine. It can be a medley, or just use one of them, whatever. Quality isn't as uber important as for the main project tracks, but we still want stuff that sounds good. Any other questions, feel free to ask!

no more news that deserve the spotlight in the thread title?

This is a note to all of you who have offered to work on background music - it doesn't have to loop. Infact, looping is a bad thing, it should have a clear start and end. All of the bg tunes are going to play in sequential order, so they don't need to repeat :)

Hadyn. WOW. You my friend are done.
Man, after almost a year working on this it feels pretty surreal. If you or the other directors need anything changed though - after a few more listens - that's still fine. If the other directors haven't heard it, maybe they can pm me about how I should send it to them, or they can get it from you.
Meanwhile I still have shiteloads of assignments. I will, however, try to work on a cd cover and some other little bits and pieces in my spare time.
As far as the conversion of the site goes (from coldfusion to php), I dunno. It'll have to wait atleast a few more weeks, until I'm done with college. I also have a paying web-design job which I should probably get started on... but I'm sure I'll have enough free time to get things working in the background. Maybe I can find someone else to help me convert, who knows.
So yeah. That's where I stand!
Just as another note, kind of pointless, but both websites I've done for Project Chaos (the Flash + the HTML/ColdFusion) have also been college assignments.
Kind of unfortunately the Flash one only got me a credit (aiming for a distinction there). I don't think the lecturer realised that I actually scripted stuff like the inbuilt music player myself. Ohwell.
The HTML/ColdFusion one is being marked twice, once for the scripting and again for the design. The scripting was marked today, and I'm proud to say I got an A. The design's not yet marked... I expect a credit though, because I didn't try to make it too amazingly detailed - I wanted the Flash website to be the fancy one, for obvious reasons - so this one's nice and clean. I wish I could you show guys, but alas I have to convert it from ColdFusion to php before I can put it up on a server (unless anyone can find a free ColdFusion server, which is really unlikely).
So yeah. There's some insight for ya'll!

Well, we'll just see how Taucer and the Ivory Masters do...
All of you should try! Tracks that don't get used will still be available fr download as BONUS CONTENT. Right now there's not a whole lot of that, so some more would be nice!

Snapple already has my mix. All I would need to do is send him the wav, and that's it.
But the only reason I would like to my mix used (besides personal gratification) is so that there is more diversity on the album. I see guitars and pianos. No saxophones! Not cool.
But bonus content is still nice. ;) I'm happy either way.

You lose, for the most part. There are quite a few guitar tracks and piano tracks, but varity is strong.

Eh. Not my project; I shouldn't be complaining. I'm still surprised you guys actually took my mix.
Alright, I'll stop bickering now. ;)

I've already made two websites (flash and non-flash) and I'm handling official cd cover's and stuff. However everyone is free to contribute their own custom cd covers, so if you wanna give that a shot, go for it!

There will be if anyone wants to do it. It's not like these things are planned out or anything. :P

I'd say probably not, just because people who wanted projects for non-remixed games would probably explode.

Yeah, 99% chance it wont happen, at least for quite a while after this one comes out. People need breaks from constantly writing songs for different projects.

.... indeed :(
Well the only thing that instigated this project to begin with were the general public's reaction to Hedgehog Heaven. I don't know if we could instigate a future Sonic project, though if anything Sonic 1 would be perfect material for something like OLR to mess around with :)
And Snapple, watch out for a finished WAV in your inbox pretty soon. Het and I have decided that the render I sent you last night would be the finished version for the project (unless Geoff and/or Xenon do better, of course).

:lmassoff: We've got, lemme see here, MC Gerkin's R-Type project (http://www.olremix.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=3133) that features singing/rapping about your favorite animals, Mystical Buffalo Jimbo's Katamari Damacy project (http://www.olremix.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=3122) (which I see you are a part of, Rexy), the_p00t's Kirby's Microphone (http://www.olremix.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1941) which is for the first Kirby's Dreamland and has to have some type of vocal instrument in the songs, LAOS' Mario FingerPaints for the game Mario Paint (http://www.olremix.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1713), AND my Running the Gauntlet project (for the original Gauntlet soundtrack) (http://www.olremix.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1785). AND we are still trying to wrap up OLRina of Time (http://www.olremix.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=574) which was started back at the end of July and is practically completed, the only thing that needs to happen is someone to compile the songs and make the site.
So yeah, we could do it, but I doubt anything would happen with it unless we start having rules for Site Projects like OCR here (but that would ruin our good parody fun).
Since I just ranted about OLR, I'll inform ya that today is our first birthday.
(unless...Xenon do[es] better, of course).
:lmassoff: Xenon Odyssey (http://www.olremix.org/phpBB/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=72) vs. Rexy (http://www.ocremix.org/remixer/rexy/)?
That's like those AOL commericals where the everyday people go up against the professional, expect that the everyday people get what's coming to them.
Since I just ranted about OLR, I'll inform ya that today is our first birthday.
o_O() There was me thinking that was June 3rd. Goes to show that I get my dates muddled up, doesn't it? Happy one year of OLR.
I know that the site has a lot of projects getting started up, but also, so is here as of late. We have this one, Doom 2, Super Dodge Ball, Dragon Warrior, Kirby Superstar and Tales of Phantasia/Symphonia residing here alone, and there's many other potential candidates for officiality (is that a word?) in the WIP: OCR forums.
Don't panic about strict regulations concerning site projects at OLR, because compared to us, OLR seems to be standing on terra firma while we're heading towards the quicksand direction (!).
I wish I could stick by the statement with the Katamari project, but we did see that Jimbo scrapped the idea. (hasn't he heard of WIP deadlines?? oh well...) I'll still work on it a little more as a standard OLR sub.
Before I forget, why the pessimism on thinking that we might topple you? You're the Mighty Sexophone, so I know you can push the power of the sax in some shape or form :)

I haven't heard from him either. He usually messages me on MSN once in a while...
And po should be recording the violin for hidden palace soon, and i will be sending the wave files to you, snapple. I just hope KFC can still play guitar for credits.

Yeah, he's pretty tore up sick wise. I can call him and see his current condition. He did say he was getting better though, so, he should be back soon (hopefully).
EDIT: KFC called me last night. He's in the hospital, and is pretty fuckin suck. Give him your best.

Hi guys, lemme make this message quick, I'm on a gang of meds right now. Basically I caught some kinda flu virus I can't pronounce that is kicking my white blood cells' ass. I got a shot while I was in the hospital (you guys have no idea how boring TV can get when that is all you can really do :( ) And it's supposed to rejuvinate (or whatever) the cells. Till then I'm just all types of sick moping around like a little bitch and what not, not getting paid because my bullshit boss has a no work no bread policy. In my absence, Snapple, if I'm not up by Monday, please take over the guitar work on Credits. I was pretty far off in Boss 2 to keep going, and as far as Boss 1, try to see if someone else can grab it on the production end, but I most likely can still provide vocal work to it. Oh, and if anyone can, tell Prizm that I won't be able to rap on his track because anything that can do wrong will go wrong (thanks Murphy's Law... or whoever's law it is). Kep a strong head for me, I feel worse than when this fine ass bitch gave me blue balls a few weeks back at the club. Chow.
