Oddly enough, Xlink (www.teamxlink.co.uk) is easier to get running than plugging a mouse into your PC. As long as you have a network card and a crossover cable, you'll be connected instantly.

They loved it and almost every match for the rest of the night was dedicated to rocketball variations.

The match started off with a fairly quick capture by the Red team, and I overheard one of them saying that they were "owning" us. A couple of runs and returns later, we scored our first capture. During this flag run (or the second; I forget which), the enemy had our flag, but while they were running to their base, I (or someone else; all I know is I ended up with the flag) stole their flag and, naturally, ran back to ours. Since it was CTF Classic, we couldn't score unless our flag was at our base. So I went up the steam vent and parked myself in the darkness separating the vent landing chamber and our base. I saw a red dot on the Motion Tracker, and thought it was all over. The Blue guy jumped into our base and looked around, hoping to catch a glimpse of whoever had their flag.

While looking around, he stared right at me, but apparently didn't see me.

"I dunno where our flag's at."

He hopped away. Shortly after, Lazy (I think) went to town on the opposing team's flag carrier and the carrier's bodyguard, and returned our flag. Then it was just a quick 15-foot run to our flagstand. Not long after that, we scored the remaning number of flag caps we needed to win.

YEah.. I'm am like pretty sure that was me..becaus eI was walking to there base and I asked somehting like "Why can't we sc...". Then I realized we needed to have our flag...so I picked up the enemies shotgun went up the air vent. they were both standing there out in the open looking across the other way.." OMG what is taking them so..OMG *dead* I was surprised. I was sure they would have thrown a grenade in the corner like most do..but o well..Lesson: Never forget your radar! That was an awesome match overall! Every one did an awesome job kicking ass!

Man, yesterday was nuts. We got slaughtered a couple of different times in Team Slayer BR on Beaver Creek, got trash-talked in Assault BR on Burial Mounds, won on Team Pistols on Lockout, played several Fiesta-esque custom games, and brought our clan record up (down?) to 2-34.

Not to mention that I made Marius "sick to [his] stomach," thanks to a "cheap" CTF Classic match on Lockout. :wink: I mean, in multi-flag matches on Lockout, someone has to pick the Red team. It's *cough* not my fault that the Red team can grab the Blue flag and make a few jumps that lead to victory. That strategy is just there to be exploited. Mwahaha.

Yesterday was fun. I introduced a KOTH variant I call Chaotic King. 3 second respawn, random weapons, hill moves 30 seconds, and on Midship. It was chaotic, to say the least. Later on we spent like 10 minutes trying to get Lazy Leaf and Dr. Marius in the same party. Lazy was having some compy issues but hopefully that'll be resolved soon. I turned off the singer, so when I don't know a song, I'm just trying to follow the 'tone bar', but I can never hit the right tone, so it's me warbling up and down trying to get hit the right note. DAMN fun. Especially with a 6 speaker setup around me.

I did get one video Lazy posted, seems like she's a little too good with those grenades. Could work on headshots just a little bit with the BR and the Carbine, but goddamn those grenades are amazing.

I convinced a friend to get Live, this was his first night.
I was essentially target practice for him. I didn't really fire at him [apparently i did once, but i dont remember doing it]...the other shots were me shooting the sky with rockets.
The rest of my kills, as noted by the medals, were beat-downs.
So, before you criticize your benevolent overlord for sucking at the game, note that there are always better players out there, but there are also always WORSE players. Much, much worse.

Yeah last night was fun all and all..and btw I don't think there was that much "animosity" between Icy Guy and I. Icy Guy was frustrated because he was the only one near the flag..unfortunately he could not realize that the rest of the clan was being killed before we could even get near it.. We have to remember we were fighting a level 11 clan..so that was a fruustrating game..I don't think we should accuse any one of caring about his level only.. it only occured in that match..he was frustrated..and I think we all were a little..so anyways...other than that I had fun. I am off to the beach for the rest of the week. I should be back on Sunday. I also just realized that the videos I have been recording now take up...34 gigs of my HD O_O!!1! The first videos I had on low quality..so I thought I would up the quality..little did I realize till now its 6 times the normal bit rate! I did indeed see Marius (and most everyone else) take a lot of sniper and Battle Rifle rounds in the head, so I knew what was going on. I was PO'ed because, after I died and switched my view to my teammates (just a quick hit of the A button during the respawn countdown gives you some nice shots of your teammates), a couple of people were just standing there in front of the flag stand. *coughSpleencough* After seeing that (and getting frickin' sick of being pounded by the frickin' Battle Rifle), I just quit and went to play some Team Preview. However, the reason I get so nuts sometimes is because I care: I often hate seeing you guys make the same mistakes I've made.

Also, clan level isn't everything. The fact that we've faced off against 25+'s in a level 1 clan is proof of that.

It was a rumble pit at like 9:30 CST, and yet we had 5 people at the start. Then two of them either lagged out or quit.

That's what I did to fix mine last week, I stepped on it and broke the hinge that holds it in place so I took some electrical tape and a little bit of modeling glue to put it into place. Worked like a charm :)

About legendary...I already finished it.
And I learned a few lessons that I shall pass along to you.
1) Never pass up a sniper rifle, give extras/near emptys to your marines
2) Throw that god damn shotgun off the cliff
3) Follow it with the smg, needler and plasma rifle
4) Never be caught without a BR or carbine
5) Plasma pistols are good, but not great
6) You can get vehicles into almost anywhere
7) You can skip 'off the rock, through the brush, nothing but jackal'
...come to think of it, you can almost skip that entire stage

umm...ask for other specifics, I'm writing this as I finish my sig.

Until July 11'th, you can only play the NEW new maps in custom games. After the auto update scheduled for that day, the current new maps (turf and sanctuary) will be placed into 'regular' matchmaking, and the 5 new maps will show up at a high rate in the team preview section. (Bungie.net ALSO said that they will appear in the rumble preview section, as far as I can tell, there isn't one. Does anyone know about this? I would play the preview games if you could choose between rumble and team... Never mind, no I wouldn't. Too much rampant cheating. Although Bungie ALSO said that the new update should take care of the cheating ((I just ran into a super jump user on a head to head BR rifle game on ascension)) so maybe I'll play preview then. All I can think of is maybe with the new update, they'll ADD a rumble preview section). Sooo, good luck finding people to get your groove on that don't have anything better to do than "duuuhhhh, let's find some new glitches with these new maps.... HEY WHY DID YOU KILL ME IN THE SLAYER GAME I SET UP?!?!? *drool*". Fuckers. I found THREE games last night that were custom using the new maps, where no one wanted to actually PLAY the game.

Here I am, alive and unfortunately posting via dialup. Interesting story as to why.

A while ago, a friend came over with his laptop. Someime in the middle of the night, we decided to go raid the neighborhood's wireless networks, so we went war-walking.
Anyway, we screw up a few networks, set up a few extremely restrictive firewalls, and generally have a good time messing with stupid people. Then we find the jackpot. A network with 3 shared printers. We comb a nearby shared internet, looking for porn, then print out damn near 500 pages of just about every type of porn.
The crap hit the fan right about there.
Turns out that my neighbors had 2 wireless networks, one of which we had just smutbombed. They freaked out and put their networks under a heavy lockdown. As some of you know I was using their internet for Live... :oops:

Coincidentally, a job has just turned up, and it requires me to have high speed internet.

I unfortunately won't be on tonight, as it would appear my Halo 2 disc is damaged and my Xbox will not read it anymore :cry: . So I probably won't be on again until I get a new copy of it.

Well, I went to the MotoGP race in Monterey today and I came home thinking I was going to die at any given moment (mainly because we had to leave at 5 in the morning to be there before the croud got worse). So in reality, I only got about 4 hours of sleep total last night.

Besides, my copy of Halo 2 doesn't work anyway and it made me sad...

Well, the cable company is dumb.
They hooked up the high speed to an outlet on the wrong side of the house. Internet in the guest room is not going to help me here in the basement. They will fix it for free on Tuesday, and until then, I'm using my wireless router to get a signal...

IE has fucked up where it won't load (not that i want it to...) and it crashes explorer everytime i try to delete the shortcut off my desktop.
