Basically, no one ever played. Ever. The last time we had a game together was like January, maybe earlier. Since someone posted about the auto update, we all randomly got in the Halo 2 mood again and started a fresh new clan.

I'M IN! It's pretty cool. Here I am sitting with 45 bucks in my account and now way to put in more (they won't let you deposit cash), and I couldn't find a way to change the billing to monthly. So I'm sitting here, ready to give up, when I see something about free trials in games, so I pop open Halo 2, and sure enough, two months. So, I'm back online, although my account is reset. And, what makes it better, is that I checked the free trial, and it was supposed to expire last month, but they still took it, so that was really cool. Hope to see everyone online.

Ya, another great night on live. I agree that the crucial input on the origins of the name "Alucard" was hilarious, though my favorite was definitely when Wingless proclaimed that we couldn't kill a god EVERY time he became the juggernaut. I think my favorite part was when Dark and Cyan hit head on, did wheelies, I passed under both of them and they both blew up. I must have hit the gas tanks... :lol:

Almost forgot about the game in headlong where there was some serious Evel Knievel stuff going on. What with the piling up of ghosts, a warthog and the banshee, all being run into by a warthog and a rocket simultaneously. Some big explosions there. Hehe, nope, especially since Dark was trying to convince her to let me stay on Live longer, which is a bit of an extension of the running joke that his name carries a lot of weight with my parents. Of course, if my mom let me, I would've stayed on longer, since playing chicken with Warthogs on the Headlong jump ramp is always fun. I especially liked the part where I sniped Dark out of the 'Hog's driver seat. In spite of the fact that he pretended he didn't, I think he did. See, Dark and I tend to make a point of killing each other in matches where we're on opposing teams (or if it's a battle royale), and he sometimes makes a point of trying to kill me even if we're on the SAME team.

Also, while on the subject of Dark, I think our sessions of Rocketball on small levels have done something to him. Namely, he'll sometimes suggest playing that. It's very much unlike him, because, normally, he isn't big on playing Oddball.

Anyway, 15 minutes, guys. And I don't mean this in the same way they used it in the movie Grease.

It was.... really really different. I think they did it "about" as good as could be expected from the commercials. I was VERY happy that it used internal monologues throughtout the movie (for example the whale) AND had a narrarator. Without those, there was no way to do the jokes that the book had. I agree that a LOT was missing, and a lot was overdone, but I still laughed a lot.

When I started yelling, "Lockout! Lockout! Lockout! Lockout! Lockout! Lockout! Lockout! Lockout! Lockout! Lockout! Lockout! Lockout!" you should've known something was up. But at least I only used one of my jumps from the upper level to the Sword level, the side of the bridge, the jump onto the spiral ramp, and the ledge on the side of the tower. You should be thankful that I haven't mastered grenade jumping after the autoupdate yet, or I might've gotten to the top of the spiral tower. ;)

It's also a good thing that Swordball match didn't take place on Ivory Tower. I've never done this in a match before, but if I can set someone up in a certain spot, I can take advantage of a map glitch to fall below the level...

Yes...it is absoluetly neccessary that we have more Warthog derby's!! O_O!! O yeah and wOOt! I completed Icy Guy's so called "race course" thing on Headlong o_O!

I do like the idea of having time to practice strategies and stuff! I don't think we should get over competitive ,but learning strategies is actually quiet fun and it pays off when it pulls through for you in a real match!

I think the ground breaking moment of the night was when Cyanide and I actually Teamed up on the warthog! It was like a mircale..since he obviously has it out for me :P Unfortunately, Cyanide sucks as a gunner and we were killed with in the first 30 seconds... DAMN YOU CYANIDE!

First off, the warthog derby was EXCELLENT!!! Not as much fun as they were in Halo: Combat Evolved, but hey what can you do.

Secondly, all this talk of practicing is making me nervous. I really can't be part of a clan that takes advantage of various glitches in the game. The crouch jump (Where you pull your knees up at the last second) is not a glitch, they mention that in the loading screens on LIVE itself, so that's legit. However, if practising strategies means teaching everyone the super jump to get on the roof in Zanzibar, than count me out. I'm sure it won't come to that, just saying. Icy Guy showed us a sweet as hell falling through the level glitch yesterday, and that was awesome, all I'm saying is it wouldn't be awesome to use stuff like that in the rated games, you know what I mean?

Anyway, this is the most fun I've had in a very long time, and I really enjoy this clan. And running over Icy Guy and Wingless. :D

Um, I think the definition of practice is to refine an attack strategy, to make a plan to so we all don't go doing things randomly. [unless if abusing glitches IS the strategy...] Even something as simple as having a designated sniper, or waiting until everybody is in position to attack at once would help immensely.

Yes, I was only showing you guys that glitch for fun. There's no way I'd ever use that in a matchmade game, mainly because 1) it is very cheat-like (even more than my trick jumps and hiding spots on Lockout, which are only "cheats" if Wingless is watching) and 2) you'd have to get someone to stand in the appropriate place, and stay there. Speaking of that glitch, here's the video of it (http://m1ndbull3ts.com/vids/IvoryTower.wmv) I mentioned last night. After watching it, let me know if the videographer's armor color looks familiar. ;)

But any strategy practicing we do would involve perfectly legitimate...um...strategies. Even strategies that include tossing flags in and out of the base windows on Beaver Creek, since, surprisingly, the flag DOES fit through those openings. And strategies that include Warthogs, since on levels like Zanzibar and Coagulation, having a getaway strategy/driver for the flag carrier can be an integral part of winning.

Oh yeah, I totally agree with all of that, it's just last time I was part of a 'planning' session, it was how to exploit the glitches in each level. Nothing wrong with trick jumping, they built Lockout AMAZINGLY for that shit, and almost every level has somewhere meant for the crouch-jump. Somewhere there was a video of the bungie people cooperating with the grenade jumping to get pretty much everywhere. They said they took out an overshield in that level becuase it made it too easy to grenade jump anywhere.

You sir, can go fuck yourself. (I mean that lightheartedly). The only time I killed ANYONE that didn't kill me first, was A. From all the damage I took it was obvious they were trying to kill me, B. They had just killed me and I respawned and got them, or C. When we finished up strategizing in the first level, and everyone started killing Lazy Leaf. (I thought everyone was just messing around, I'm really sorry you were upset about it).

Oh, and then there was the one time I had the sword, and someone stuck me full of needles just to take it, and then I came back and killed him to take the sword back, and redchlorine took it. Then, he had to die. Which is prolly what he's bitching about.

On another note, anyone know why grenade jumping wasn't working? Maybe they took it out of capture the flag and oddball, that would make sense. When I was practising it, it was in Slayer.

As some of you may know, I have to run the Xbox's video and audio signal through my video card in order to play on Live, as I need to be near my modem. Obviously, this means I need a sound computer.

Windows died yesterday. At least, I hope it's only Windows, and not my HDD or any other hardware.

The clan that I was in for the last 4-1/2 months just split apart (HBO Lekgolos) and I'm searching for a new community. After coming here I see that you're all about having fun instead of rank and ability - which is similar to the clan I was in. I'm not around too often - I tend to binge-play on the weekends - but I try to be as active as possible during that period.

Just to give some other info about myself I'm 22 years old (I'm also curious to know how old the rest of you happen to be), enjoy MLG settings and crazy game variants. I tend to join arranged games frequently and solo matchmaking - though I'd like to start partying as often as possible to increase the odds of winning . . . and having fun.

Anyway, I'm hoping for an invite, if it's at all possible.

Me and Dr. Marius played a few games of Rocketball. The first game was a blast. Being anywhere near the ball resulted in dying from a hail of rockets hitting you in the face. I still have no idea how Unicide won the first and third game. I'm gonna go play for about 1 more hour and the go to sleep.

Another great night. However, sadly, after tomorrow, I don't know how often I'll be able to come on. I'm going home from school, and neither of my parents have high speed internet. I'm going to go on as much as I can at my friends house, but I'm going to estimate that that may be once, maybe twice a week. It was a great run while it lasted, I've had alot of fun playing. Hope to see you online sometimes during the summer.

Also, Icy...you missed quite the match. We were playing against a bunch of prepubescents, and they rivalled that one match's annoyingness.

Prepubescents? Playing Halo 2 on Live? You're joking! Btw: which match are you referring to? We've played many matches against annoying players (or players who just want to come into our base and chat), so I'm not sure which one you're talking about.

As for the level 8 clan, I think we would've pwned those nubs if I was there to help you guys out. What kind of match was it? Was it close?

Sounds like I've missed out on some fun times, but when hasn't playing with Team OCR involved times of funness?

Update: I sent my HDD off to the guy who built my PC, and he said that when he booted it as a slave drive on his PC, Windows said the drive had errors. In its usual, helpful way, it fixed the errors. I'll be getting the drive back tonight, and I'm going reinstall it into my case. If those errors were the problem (instead of Windows), then I should be able to see you guys again sooner than I expected. Problem is, I'll be grounded for a week, starting on the day I get everything up and running again. This is apparently some sort of punishment for not reinstalling Windows when I was told it would be a good idea to do so.

I'll see if I can cut the sentence down a bit, because I'm suffering from withdrawal. Imagine not playing Rocketball on Midship or Warlock for a whole 5 days. The horror!

Oddly enough, Xlink (www.teamxlink.co.uk) is easier to get running than plugging a mouse into your PC. As long as you have a network card and a crossover cable, you'll be connected instantly.
