When is the deadline for WIP's or finals? I'd like to finish my piece before school starts (2 days, yeah right) but I'd like to have at least a submission date so I know ahead of time. This is something I'd really like to be part of so if you could just let me know as soon as possible, that'd be great.
First off, thanks for trying to spread the word for this project. I know it's been going slow compared to the other projects in the works right now, but I won't let that deter me.
As for the deadline question, I hate deadlines. I've been trying as long as I can to not set one, because I'd hate to have a remixer drop from the project because he/she can't make the deadline. Tell you want, let me think about it for a day, and I'll post a first WIP deadline date tonight.

It's 3 in the morning, I'm sick as a dog, and I can't get to sleep. Ugh.
But anyway, I've thought about this, and I am going to set the first WIP deadline for Monday, September 12th. That's exactly five weeks from now, and more than enough time for anyone who said maybe to either drop the project or provide a WIP.
Whether or not I will drop anyone from the project on that date, I'm not sure. I'll give it more thought tomorrow (or today, whatever.)[/b]

I think this is rather good !! This will hopefully get the "maybe" people to do something.. On the other hand.. Damn I gotta start with my Versus track 8O hehe.. Well I have some days off this week so I'll guess I have to start with that. Hopefully I will get so far with my Shadow Theme that only the female vocals remains to be recorded !!

awesome... cause i would kill you personally if you put male vocals in there ;)
nothing against male vocalist, but female vocals always sound better.

Female vocals, you say?
If it's either Rexy or pixietricks, I will personally fly to Sweden and give you a hug.

First Claado steals my first WIP due date, and now you steal my second one! Make up your own due dates, project coordinators! :P

Progress update:
I finally started work on my Team Iceland mix!
I have some ideas kicking around in my head as far as intro/instrumentation/cameos/etc goes, but I'm still transposing the source tune, as there is currently no MIDI available for this particular track. It's pretty tough work; I have never been forced to transpose a song on my own before.
I have the a REX of the drumloop from the source in place, I have the triangle/bass channel finished to my knowledge, there's a bit more work to be done on the square two channel, and the square one channel, well... this could take a while =P
I'll export and post a beta MIDI up here someday if I get a chance.

iM NOT GONNA GIVE UP!! ITS RELLAY HARD BUTY I CAN DO IT!!!
I'll throw together a MIDI of what I have transposed myself so far just so people can take a listen and check the quality of my work. I'm probably only going to paste the code for the file here because I'm too lazy to find hosting and upload it for real.
Um.. yeah.
Uncle
08-19-2005, 09:05 PM
Okay, exporting is finished. if somebody could check this out and let me know how the transposition is coming along, I'd appreciate it (drums are omitted and the tempo is off; the real song is ~130 bpm).
The first track (Square 1 of the NSF) could use the most help, especially from measures 17-33(?).
Copy the contents of this code box, paste it into wordpad and save it as ICELAND.MID. If that doesn't work, I'll email the MIDI to somebody who has real hosting.

The best way to learn is to do it !!!
When I take out a melody I do it mostly on a keyboard.
Listen to the original and then play it on the keyboard and then later on my guitar!!
If you don't try it, It will take even longer time until you master it !

I´ve been into music for almost 10 years now. I don´t know anything about notes or music theory or stuff like that.
I do everything by ear. Thats how its always been. Sheet music or tabulatures etc. just confuse me. I like to hear the music, not read it.
Plus learning stuff without aid makes it all a bit more interesting.

I just wanted to tell Murmeli Walan and everybody on this project that I wont be able to do a WIP for the Vs Theme until the Deadline because my computer Has broken down !!
First my harddrive broke down (manage to save all vital things in the last second). Then I ordered a new Harddrive and everything was working fine until the next morning when my boot sector fucked up..
So I was going to format my c: and install Windows again.. Well it didn't work :( My motherboard has been fucked up for a while but now IT WAS really fucked up.. So I bought a new one but the computer still doesn't work.. My powersupply to blame I think so I'll have to buy a new powersupply and new memory to get my FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT computer to work again !!! Can't afford that now and I don't have the lust to put more money at that computer at the moment so Next month I'll buy a BRAND NEW ONE  ..
So I can't make any music until the beginning of October. So there you have it folks ..
If anyone wants to do the Vs Theme I guess that's okay with me since I can't make the deadline but if noone will I will definetly take a shot at it when I'm back in buisness !!!
Take care guys.. I will not be on msn or Icq but maybe I'll check my e-mail from time to time !

Geez, sorry to hear about that, man. I wanted to hear a WIP of that one from you.
Anyways, I've been gone a while. I just moved into the campus here at Indiana U. of PA, and I don't exactly have a computer at the moment (but I do have a 24/7 computer lab :D)
The deadline is still on, but don't anybody worry about getting cut or kicked off. This is more of a "lets get this moved to Site Projects" deadline more than anything.

Ooh! Ooh! I'm making progress on the Team Select music. Instead of the stadium gabber music, I'm doing it more like Sports Channel type classic techno.
Still, don't mark me down yet solidly yet.

Well, there's only one week left for the first WIPs..
I haven't played around with Team Iceland much at all as of late; I've been hoping somebody would give me some feedback on/assistance transposing the rest of the MIDI I created before continuing. Honestly, I've been having a lot of trouble with some of the squarewave runs and I just gave up after a while.
I'm guessing that's not going to happen, so I'll have to play around with the stuff I've already transposed and make up an intro to submit as my first WIP.

Okay, seriously, I´ve started to mess around with the song but to be honest I´m not gonna have lots of stuff done by monday. Of course I´ll try to have something, and you never know.
But the original kicks ass so I´m really excited to get it rollin´.

I´ve started the project and I have the ideas but it might take a while until I get anything worth listening done.

Congratuations everybody! We're well on our way to becoming an official OCR/VGMix Site Project now. Here are a few major announcments.
 I have decided on a name for the project. The current (and probably final) name is Around the World: The Super Dodge Ball Arrangement Project. I picked the name "Around the World" because of it's meanings. It references the project's ethnic styles as well as the wide variety of VGMix and OCR remixers. It also envokes the image of travelling "around the world" to fight the other teams of the tournament. It's also a reference to the nickname that my brother and myself came up with to describe the Power Shot that knocks the opponent off the screen and "around the world" to the other side. ;)
 This is the first official track listing:

Available for guitar work: Wy0StarFox
Available for vocal work: Ch|oroPhi|, Rexy
As always, it is subject to change.
 ALL tracks are still open for remixing, so don't be shy about taking a track that has already been claimed.
 The other short tunes are still ok to either encorporate into your mix or expand into a mix, so feel free to do so.
 After giving it some thought, I realized I'm going to need some help. So, I'm opening the project up to a number of co-ordinators:
1. Art Co-ordinator: This person(s) will review, critique, and pick the artwork for the project.
2. Technical Co-ordinator: This person(s) will handle the technical aspects of the music (volume equalizing, etc.)
3. Website Designer: Self-explanatory. This person(s) will build the website which will be hosted at OCR and VGMix.
Anyone who is seriously interested in these positions can e-mail me at alrobi2000 AT hotmail DOT com. PLEASE don't PM me, as my Inbox is full to bursting.
 Here is the fixed link to Ichitootah's Match Start remix WIP: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=270826&songID=2677109
 I want anybody who has clamed a song but not sent me a WIP to get that in at least within the next two weeks. After the two weeks, I'll set the second WIP deadline. There may or may not be cuts at that deadline.
Let's keep up the great work, everybody!

I'm setting the second WIP deadline for November 1st. That'll give everybody a little over a month to work on songs.
Also, not a single person sent me an email regarding helpers for the project. Please, I really need this help, or I could never release the project.
I see you're a close homey with Kyle. Maybe he could tow in Kurijee Lea (sp?) for the artwork aspect?

It's nice to hear somebody else is working on Iceland, Rexy. I haven't had a lot of time to do remixing (this is the first I've been on OCR or any related site in almost a month) and this mix hasn't been a big priority to me because I don't even think I've transposed this track right. I will email the MIDI I created in the process of transposing this track to anyone who is interested in checking the accuracy of my work thus far; I could also use some hosting, please.

I wish I had some musical talent. I grew up with good ol' Super Dodgeball, and the flashing screen because the NES couldn't handle the...well...NES graphics.
But, as LB pointed out toward the beginning, Nex's remix is for the win. Is he even around anymore? Maybe he'd help out, too.

Well, considering all the controversy that's going on with Joe's Earthbound project, I figure that I'd better un-secretify some things as well.
First off, and I know that this isn't a major announcement or anything, but Mazedude has been considering adding to the project. He's been very busy lately with his other projects, so I still don't know if he'll contribute musically or not.
Second off, I know I've said this in the thread before, and I know DS knows, but I just wanted to restate that I have plans for this project to be released on OCR as well as on VGMix. On VGMix, it will be released alongside virt's solo Super Dodge Ball album for download. virt himself is not contributing other than giving me a VGMix site and music mirror.
This is just for clarification. I know this isn't as major an issue as what's going on now with Bound Together. I just want to avoid any possible problems down the road.
I don't see anything too problematic, yet :) I think Bound Together has taken a turn for the worse given the whole secretify stuff that's been going on. Don't get me wrong; the music will be hot, yes, but its original purpose will be long gone and will make this just another random project. That said, I doubt nothing will ever, EVER top Kong in Concert.
Enough about that; still putting on a few more touches on my own contribution; I'm getting ideas on development and everything. I just wish I wasn't piled up with team report after team report this week :(

I have my opinions on this whole Bound Together issue, but I think I'll stay out of this ugly mess. Although I must say that I think my enjoyment of the project will be just a tad bit soured by it. I think it will be an interesting day when that particular project is released.
In any event, I'm glad to hear that you're making progress on your track, Rexy. I wasn't going to hound you as much about getting it in quick, what with your own project and all.
Also, has anyone heard from EvilHorde at all? Either he's disappeared as of late, or I'm just getting antsy to hear his work.

Yo. Sorry I haven´t been very informative lately on my progress. Its mainly because there hasn´t been any. I had real difficulties of getting the track started so I kinda gave up on it.

Ok, WIP deadline two has been reached. Sadly, I haven't seen as much progress as I would have liked. Granted, people are checking in and giving me progress reports, but I'm still not seeing much output on the WIP side of things.
I'll set the next WIP deadline in the coming days, and there will be cuts at the end of this deadline, if necessary.
I'm looking into getting a website designer, but if anyone is interested, please send me an e-mail.

January 1st, 2006 is the third WIP deadline. I want everyone to send me an updated WIP between now and then. Failure to do so (without good reason) will result in your being cut from the project. I'm shooting for a release date of mid/late March, so I really want the project done by February.
Also, I contacted The Wingless over a week ago about providing a song and/or website design, and I have not recieved a response. If you're reading this post, please let me know if you want in or not.
Finally, I'd like to extend a big thanks to herograw for offering me a mirror for the project. http://dodgeball.herograw.net is the address, and I will (but only by the remixer's request) host WIPs for others to listen to until the project site is up.

I'm really sorry MurmeliWalan.. I'd love to work on this project but my motivation is just not what it should be.
But I'll give it one more try.. On the Shadow Theme that is.. You can delete me from the Versus Theme !!

When I get set up in my new house in New York (with my new computer, hopefully), I would definitely be interested in the Team China theme. However, that won't be for another few weeks, so I'll just let you use my two tracks on Chrono Symphonic as my audition pieces, I suppose. When it's released, that is.
Until then, hold that song, please. Should be a fun piece to remix.

Well, considering that Kyle made a Wikipedia article for the project (in haste, IMO), I'd recommend anyone else do what they can to contribute content regarding the project to prevent the article from being deleted.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Around_the_World_%28Super_Dodge_Ball_album%29
In the future, I'd say wait until a project is wrapped up/about to be released before doing a page on it. Otherwise, people get the wrong idea that it's meant to be some sort of advertisement.

I didn't even know I had a Wikipedia article until just now.
...I don't know, I really don't feel that the article should be up at the moment. I don't have an album cover. Heck, I don't even have a complete tracklisting yet.
I don't have the time to do any major editing today, but I'll see what I can do about tonight or tomorrow.

I definitly interested in hearing one of the best sports game's music given tribute.
Me too. I think that's why I keep extending and cancelling WIP deadlines. I know that these artists have lives outside of the internet like I do. Things can get in the way of the creative process. But I also want to make sure that the songs in this project are great. I don't mean like OCR-level great or anything, but something that people will love listening to. I have faith in the remixers to do just that.
Speaking of art, I would be very gratful to anybody who could design for me some little Around the World badge sig things like the other projects have. My SDB title sig that I stole from Seanbaby's site is getting old for me, and I'd like to go back to some of my other sigs.

C'mon, people. There are only four more tracks left! Let's keep this project from getting left behind by the others!
Just out of question, are there any more deadlines yet? I hope to know that before I could work on my track a little more.
And hey, if all else fails you (or someone else if you can't seem to handle the telephone for some reason or other O.o) can give it some publicity. :) VGF/VGDJ makes a good start, I think.

Just out of question, are there any more deadlines yet? I hope to know that before I could work on my track a little more.
I plan on setting another deadline in the next couple of days. As you can probably tell, I really don't want to cut anyone, but if I have to...
And hey, if all else fails you (or someone else if you can't seem to handle the telephone for some reason or other O.o) can give it some publicity. :) VGF/VGDJ makes a good start, I think.
Heh, I was already mentioned in like, the third or fourth episode of VGDJ, and again on the RotS release episode, where Aurora confused my project with Shael's. :P

Again, I'd like to make a request for anyone who wants to do album art for the project. At this point, I'm not picky.

Okay...now that I'm back in a working status (Internet-wise) I'll be up for Team China's theme. I'll work on something tomorrow, actually, see what pops up. So if you want, Walan, sign me up.
I'll hit you all back tomorrow.

I'll try my hand at this, if you don't have anyone already to work on that. For examples of my graphical work, just look at some of the stuff I have made at my deviantArt gallery (http://darkphazon395.deviantart.com/gallery/) (at least the newer ones).

Any guidelines on what style/content you want the art in Walan? I could probably make something.

Art style? Go ahead and be creative, but I am looking for a style that's similar to the SDB box art and Kunio-kun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kunio-kun) art in general.

The next WIP deadline is set for March 1st, 2006. With the exception of Ryan8bit, who's track is more or less completed, anyone who doesn't send me a WIP update will be cut from the project. Unless you have a very, very good excuse, there will be no exceptions. I've waited far too long for this project to staginate any further. The following list of remixers will show who's exempt from the cut.
WIP Update (safe from March 1st deadline)

Rexy
No WIP Update (possible cut from project)

You all have exactly one month from now to send me either an updated WIP or your final track. Let's get this project moving.
Edit - Unfortunately, Dimmignatt has informed me that that he won't be able to continue work on his mix due to a number of reasons. I would like to publically thank him for the work he put into his tracks, and I wish him good luck in the future. Of course, that now means that five tracks are as of now unclaimed.
Edit - Claado can't take part in the project due to his schedule with the Navy. So Team China is back on the list of claimable tracks.
The...title screen doesn't have anyone doing it? :'( This makes me very sad!
Please, someone take that up! Not remixing the title screen is like...well, it's just not cool! Somoene! Anyone!?

I was actually thinking about doing the title screen. I loved this game so much, still do. I just have a question: If I do deside to remix the title screen, would I only have till March 1st for the WIP deadline, since I'd be joining so late? Cause I still have to learn how to play the song and come up with an idea of what to do with it.
I will have a WIP ready. Quick reminder that the deadline is March 1st?

Ahhh! That's quite a shame to hear, as I really liked your All-Stars WIP. Maybe someday we'll get to hear the final product. Good luck with you in the future.
Rexy: Yes, March 1st is the deadline. If you think you need an extension, let me know.
'The' Ace: If you want to remix the Title Screen, then I'd be more than happy to give you a WIP extension. That goes for anyone who claims a track from now until the deadline.

Also, if you don't mind me saying, your old Dodge Ball remix from way back when (which was posted in this thread, BTW) partially inspired me to start organizing this project.

I'm trying, but college life does keep me busy. I'm too determined to let this project fall apart, though.

...yeah, I never did that. I think the main problem here is that I can't seem to devote any of my time to this project. I don't want it to end, but I don't want to staginate any more. So, I can only reach one conclusion:
I need a co-director. Badly.
If anyone wants to help get this project off the ground, then please, please send me an email at alrobi2000@hotmail.com. Then we'll talk about this.

I'm happy to announce that reelmojo has accepted the position of Around the World's new Co-Director. He'll be the guy that constantly bugs the remixers to get their tracks to me so we can avoid the fiasco of the last WIP deadline.
Let's all welcome him to the project!
Alright; glad to see there'd be an extra hand in this. And you better return the sexual favors per WIP as promised Caleb, otherwise we know who we're telling ;)
Peon U

If I remember correctly, I like sexual favors.
reelmojo
03-19-2006, 10:25 AM
Sexual favors? I didn't sign on for this!
But anyway, the first thing I'd like to ask for from the remixers is progress reports. You know, how's your remix sounding, what are you having trouble with, all that good stuff. And if anyone needs help with any certain part of their song, remixers don't hesistate to give them a hand! We want to make Around the World as good as it can possibly be!
For those remixers who haven't submitted a WIP yet (Nex, The Ace, AkumajoBelmont, and... myself) we'd like to hear anything you've got so far, just so we know you're working on it. You can submit a WIP to either Walan or me now, and if you can't host it anywhere you can Email it to me (that doesn't mean I'm offering free hosting, that just means my Inbox has a lot of room left in it).
And if you know any remixer friends who might be looking for something to do, we've still got 4 unclaimed tracks! Team India, Team Japan, Team Shadow and Versus Play are all up for grabs.
Robbie (Akumajo) has been working on his track almost all Summer long. He even provided WIP hostage at VGMix, but ever since that's down right now we can't pick that up -_-;
Still, if I get contact from him again I'll bring that up.

I am so fucking disgusted by this. Because of OCR's new "remix pay-system", then I wouldn't be suprised if he also charges to download remix projects. Because you, the remixers, mojo, and myself won't see a dime from this, I have no other choice but to cancel Around the World.
I'll talk to reelmojo about this. I may reconsider and just move the entire project over to either VGMix, OneUp Studios, or The Shizz (Minibosses forum).
If that happens, I'm on for the move. I've stuck on so long that I don't want to see this fall apart. I would have preferred a bit of a friendly-ish perspective for most of us considering there are still some of us that still won't get over the exodus.
ThaSauce would be a start; they've even got a forum dedicated to running projects, so you can't really go wrong.
Whichever happens, it's down to you.

To be honest, virt has offered a VGMix mirror for Around the World from the very start. He said something about launching it alongside is only solo Dodge Ball album.
I'm still waiting on a response from djp and the moderators. If they still allow remix projects to be offered for free, then I'll stay here. If not, then I'm gone to VGMix.
I overreacted earlier. I've spend nearly a year on this project, and I don't want to simply throw it all away because of some policy changes.

I sure hope that nobody fell for my extension of OCR's April Fool's joke. I sure do love this holiday. :D
I do have some serious news, though. The next WIP deadline is April 30th. This gives you remixers a month to continue working on your tracks. Hopefully, reelmojo will be able to crack the whip and get you guys on the ball.
Happy Mixing!
Oh, you know I played along :) I think the most hilarious thing that happened was that Kyle's and Arek's "project cancelled" jokes fooled Darkesword to the point of him deleting them.
Nonetheless, I'll try to have something ready. It's a shame that two of those weeks from now to the deadline is Easter vacation, which would make me a little concerned on how to get around all this.
Still, good to see this is all on tracks :)

I'm must have done a pretty good job of acting if DS was second guessing me. :)
About the deadline: I completely forgot about Easter vacation. My university isn't having an Easter vacation, so I didn't even take it into account. I also have to figure that you have tracks for about 83 other remix projects (not to mention your own project) to work on.
If you want me to give you a personal extension, I suppose you can beg and grovel for it.

Yeah, I know. I really don't want to say this, but I'm losing interest. I've been at this for a year and a half now, and there hasn't been nearly as much progress as I wanted. I know that alot of this comes from me, as I just don't have the motivation to get the artists going on their songs. It was really unfortunate when reelmojo climbed aboard to help, then was cut down by computer problems.
I really want this project to move along, but my heart's not in it anymore. I'm gonna try again to collect everyone's contact information and ask about any progress, but I'm also about ready to call this a failure and cut my losses.
I'll let you know my decision about this soon.
My track is literally complete, just that I still need to send that to you ^_^*
Also, I understand that your heart isn't really in the track anymore, but if it isn't, you could still be able to pass the torch to someone else. That's what happened when Project Chaos was almost doomed to fail, and then SnappleMan came in to help KFC.

Murmeli Walan
10-12-2006, 12:30 AM
Well Kyle, it doesn't look too good. I'm right back into the swing of things here at college, and midterms are really racking me now. The problem here is that I lack the motivation to continue this project alone, or even to play an active role in it. Don't get me wrong: I still love the game's music, and the WIPs that have been given to me are fantastic, but I just don't have the time or the effort to run a remix project. I haven't put in any effort to hound the mixers, and after reelmojo's beyond-his-control leave from the project, I found myself very discouraged.
The bottom line is this: I need someone to take control of Around the World from me, or it will die.
But there lies my other problem: there are so many projects in the works right now that I don't think anyone's available who would do something like that for me. So, this is the only decision I can make.
I want anyone who is seriously interested in running Around the World to either send me a private message or an e-mail. I'll still be around in an "Executive Producer" role to make creative decisions on things, but I really need someone to be my director. If I get no response by November 1st, I'll have no choice but to kill this remix project.
It's been a year and a half since I started this project, and I really don't want it to die.
Thanks for bumping the thread, Kyle. I shows me that people still want to see the project succeed.

I really would like to take it over and continue what you've started, but unfortunately I just don't have the time. I do want to see this project continue on though, so I hope someone steps in. :) Good luck, Walan!

Why not ask a mod if you guys can put a notice in Gen Dis for a week? I've seen other projects have temp messages there, and more exposure might help in finding a replacement.

Ironically enough, I was about to move this to GD, then saw your name. I only checked just to see if, say, you had agreed to take it over.
In any case, the thread will be moved to GD for one week to see if anyone's interested. After that point, it will be moved to Works: OC ReMix. If no interest is there, the thread will end up being pruned later on.

Thanks very much for temporarily moving this thread to General Discussion, Larry. I'm sure that there has to be someone in this forum who would be able to accept this undertaking.

I wish you good luck, each project has a great amount of work and dedication and I wouldn't want to see one get cancelled. If I was more fond of the OST(and actually had time) I would give you a hand. Anyways, good luck Mr Murmeli.

I'd love to see this succeed, but I'm not exactly in the position to attract remixers. The soundtrack deserves it.
I don't know if you got the message on Facebook yet or not, but I'm willing to try my hand at taking over.
No...I don't have internet at home yet, but I have access Monday through Friday when I'm on campus. And, I have plenty of minutes on my cell phone that I never use, that I can use to harrass people if necessary.
I don't want this project to die, and I'll do my best to try to take it over, if you want me to do so!
...HI OCR!!!
Whee, look at the crappy sig I made a while back, but it never caught on.

I thought I killed you after we got married... uhhh I mean uhh I accidentally stabbed you on your sleep
Oh, so that really WAS a knife in your pocket? I thought you were just really happy to see me finally. :?
Anyway, is there anyone else interested in this project? I have offered to take over, but I don't have much access to the Internet right now, so we need someone with a good, steady access, and also a desire to make this project come to fruition.

Thanks so much for your interest in taking the project over, Mae. I could spare some cell phone minutes to talk to you, but it'd be better if you were on Verizon.
If anyone else is interested, please don't hesitate to show it.
Well, I have billions of minutes to spare, so as long as you call when it's night minutes for you, it's all good. Mondays I get off work at 3pm, and normally get home around...eh...5:30ish (8:30ish Eastern)? So, if you call around then it'll be free for you, and I'll have about 2,000 minutes to spare (yay for Roll-over?). Other nights, I get home around 6:30ish, so as long as you're not busy sleeping or studying at 9:30 your time, you could get a hold of me then. I don't remember if I gave you my new cell phone number or not...that can be done through a PM, I suppose.
Weekends are free all the time, though.
Also: Please, anyone who can get online at regular intervals every day, and is willing to bring this project to the greatness it should be, come forward and speak up!

GENERAL DISCUSSION REMIX PROJECT FLOOOOOOOD!!!!
Heh, I actually didn't realize that so many projects were going on now in addition to my own. Thanks for bringing these projects to everyone's attention, Larry.
Arek, Mae, the first thing I want you two to do is to contact everyone who has WIPs and find out what the status is on those songs. I also want Andy Jayne and Ryan8bit contacted to let them know that you two have taken over and ask if they have any changes at all they'd like to make to their tracks. Personally, I find them absolutely perfect. :)
My PM box is nearly full, so I'll talk to the both of you though e-mail.
There are still a good deal of tracks that need claimed. Any remixers (who aren't already working on the thousand other projects  ) who want in, let us know.

Nah. The reason why is because the project needs to display actual progress before it's moved back to Site Projects, primarily in the form of completed tracks. There were too many in-progress projects languishing and not getting anything done. I'm keeping the same standard for my own project.
While the project (or any project) is in G-Disc, you're either gonna get things moving, or the thread will get pruned off due to inactivity.
I would recommend not bumping the thread just to have it on page 1 of GD. Contrary to popular belief, that's not the most important thing in the world in terms of gauging activity, because most of the activity and progress doesn't take place on the thread. Work hard to recruit people and get things moving on this one. If need be, y'all can start a new thread.

This is a bump!
Finals this week...which means I'll be away from the internet for a while. (I say that as though I'm actually around it to begin with...)
But, good news: In January, I'll be working in the computer labs on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, so I'll have 4-5 hours of free internetting time then.
So...yeah. BUMP!

And,
Me: Did you ever play Super Dodge Ball? 'cause there's a project that's been around OCR for the past year or two...maybe three? that needs more remixers. http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=57352&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Just as a side note, Japan's theme is itself an arrangement of Sakura (Cherry Blossoms), a very traditional Japanese piece of music... I'm not entirely sure that it is public domain, though...

Yeah I noticed that too. Sakura is a pretty well known japanese song, I don't know if there's any kind of copyright to it though.

After doing some research, I found the same was true for the Team USSR theme. Just ignore it and hope we don't get C&D'd by Japanese and/or Russians. ;)

Rexy's Team Iceland track is finished! We still have a ways to go, but Around the World is finally starting to come together. But, another track is put back open. See the first post for details.
Remember: if you want to claim a track, have a WIP within a week sent to me, Mae, and Arek.
Happy New Year, everybody!
I'm gonna take a minute here to show my appreciation to Sadorf. In just a short time since he joined Around the World, I've already recieved three WIP demos from him. His track is good, it's very "stadium anthem-y".
I've also been send the absolute final version of "I Lost My Balls In Moscow" (akumajobelmont's mix), and it's nothing short of fantastic. The new ending is simple yet powerful. Kudos to you.
So yeah, I don't have any major updates to report, this was just a bump cleverly disguised as an update post. Do not be shy if you want to claim a track, just so long as one of us gets a WIP within a week.

...yeah, except for the whole "dodge ball" part of it.
But anyway, the game is more related to RCR than you think. SDB is a heavily-localized version of the Japanese game Nekketsu High School Dodgeball Club, which is part of the famous Kunio-kun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kunio-kun) series. Renegade, Crash N' the Boys Street Challenge, and Nintendo World Cup are also Americanized games in the series.
I'm a big fan. Can you tell? :D
