Which is why sometimes these rules make OCR shoot its own foot. I talked to Kyle about it, I will probably make an OCR edit persay for the sake of the promotion of the album and have this version on the album itself. Kyle mentioned that this remix is almost the main theme of the project and will be in the project trailer prominently so its really disheartening that a politic of sorts prevents this from just being put up. But I will conform to something that might work since I really want this on the front page.

You could almost lump in Super Dodge Ball with this same theory. It's not the most well-known NES game, and it never shows up in anybody's top 10 lists (although it should), it's from the same series that included better-known titles like Nintendo World Cup and the almighty River City Ransom. That's not counting other Super Dodge Ball games like the NEO GEO port, the arcade original, Super Dodge Ball Brawlers, or the SDB XBLA Indie title. On top of that is the fact that even if the games are more fractured and obscure in America, the Kunio-kun franchise is much more popular in Japan. Kunio is lined up alongside Famicom giants like Mario and Mega Man.

Of course, obscurity doesn't mean much in the end. Brandon proved that awesome music can even come from a game in which the only person who's ever heard of it is...well, Brandon.

So for the second OCR panel I've been to this year, the "dodgeboobs" cover art got a huge reaction from the crowd. I do believe it's staying.

For the record, we are having a more traditional cover designed by OA (especially since the Dodgeboobs art is not high-res), but the Dodgeboobs art will be an alternate cover and will totally be used for promotional stuff.

I can't wait to see it on the front page of OCR.

Currently fixes are being applied. We are on hold from pushing for a release until these fixes are made. There is no estimated release even WHEN the fixes are in, other than ASAP. Alan and Kyle are both aware of where things are and are working hard at getting this wrapped.

But I was never able to find the dodgeboobs cover art. At any rate certainly not something that would take 5 years, more like 5 minutes. :tomatoface:

It may look like it's spoiling the movie but it isn't really, the triumph of good over evil is like the single most expected element of Super... you will be surprised by the other things that happen, the characters and events that take place.. how the characters progress and why they do what they do. Ha, that is interesting for one definition of the word 'constant'; the definition in this context is unrelenting continuation. It's a reference to the old TV staple "Wide World of Sports". Yeah, Walan and I moved some things around for the sake of flow, and I was definitely looking at the Japanese version's order when we did so. And since we had two versions of both Team Shadow and Versus Play, we had to stuff 'em in somewhere. :-P

One thing that's kind of funny: Jose's trailer really doesn't portray the amount of RAWK on this album. Hell, the last 4 songs on the album alone are RAWKin', never mind Team England and ergosonic's Shadow remix early on in the album, as well as India, Kenya, and USSR, all of which have rock elements. Seriously, this thing is more like Super Guitar Ball: Around the Wankery. Given I'm involved with it though, it's probably no surprise.

I have a terrible announcement.

I've just received word that djp himself has decided that this album isn't up to scratch for OCR. As such, the release is completely canceled and all tracks on the panel have now been automatically NO OVERRIDE'd. At Larry's insistence, Walan and I will be shifting to work on a Cho Aniki/Ninja Baseball Bat Man remix project instead. It'll be another 6 years for us to finish that. Sorry, folks.
