Man, I bet this took a long while to judge... :P

But yeah, Fatty and Sephfire have really come out sharply with a very peaceful track to adapt to the FFX-2 area of the site. I can recognise Fatty's usual hip-hop (?) style being integrated sharply within much of sephfire's new atmospheric additions (strings and piano most notably), and at a sharp enough production quality to be able to match. In fact, I love this thing :D

I can barely find much wrong with this, but if anything I could have asked for a bit more high-spectrum instrumentation being applied, although that could be seen as nothing more than a nitpick.

Still, it's a total counterpoint to Mythril Nazgul's debut effort while still being a neat mix to listen to. Kudos to the pair of you!

Pretty enjoyable work! I haven't heard the original or even touched FFX-2 for that matter, but after hearing the melody in this mix I'm inclined to check out the soundtrack. I've always liked Matsueda anyway.

Great job! Very enjoyable to listen to, and extremely calming as well. I don't think the pretz's review emphasized the mood enough - the atmosphere created is hopeful and much too rare, and I think that it's a wonderful accomplishment. One more thing might've helped, but for me, the difference would've been marginal, because I love what I'm hearing and I'll gladly take it. Looking foward to hearing more from you!

The technique of instruments and deep resources with a cool arrangement do promise in great jobs. This ReMix is an example of ability indeed. All things go as well. The melody with a cool transition did an sweet song in a whole. It´s very pleasant to listen too. Just great.

Oh, yeah. :) I am deifinitely down with this.

It takes the original and changes the genre completely by rearranging the melody with a decent bit of remixing and putting it against a nice, soft beat. My fiance will be so thrilled to hear this song - I'm heading out to see her today, and you can bet we'll be listening to this a lot. The FFX-2 soundtrack is one of her very favorites, and she's not even a big gamer. Of course, she knows my affinity for OCRemix so I think we can agree on this on.

8/10 ^_^

Wow i am amazed on how simplistic this song is to me it is a very laid back song, you know like when things seem to go to fast for you. i think this song is by far one of the best remixes i have heard and im hoping you guys will do more X-2 remixes that are like this.

To me this songs reminds me to be laid back and not worry so much on stuff that is so averwhelming and to not get so depressed about things in hard times.
this is the first time i have written back about a remix but out of all i think this one deserves it by far, i hope you can do more songs like this i really do like them. thank's guys , TTYL >^_^< .

This track is an absolute dream..

Or at least dreaming is what I'll do listening to this track. Very relaxing, subtle use of instrumentation... Absolutely beautiful.

I heart this. Gorgeous track - The synths have a kind of mellow sound that you don't hear very often.

Not to diminish this track making it, especially since I enjoyed it myself, but how we took this and NOT Joseph's even hotter "Matoya no Fuuketsu" is beyond me. Man, what a mistake y'all.

While well done and very pretty, i felt the remix lacked what the original had...the soothing and ephemeral emotion. For what it was it was good, but I only heard the main melody a few times...which that simple melody was what took one away...6 out of 10...keep up the good work...if not told it was a remix of the song i would have fallen in love...

YES. Thank you! I've had Fatty's original version of Under a Full Moon on my playlist for months on end now, always hoping it would somehow make it to OCR. Finally! It's so nice to see this arrangement get some mainstream attention with sephfire's gloss on it. People who knock the piece as too minimalist are most likely missing the point of the song's style - it's atmospheric, and therefore somewhat sparse, but that's how it's able to evoke the kind of soft, haunting aura that the original track didn't quite have. The main melody teases you the entire time, never coming out in full, but setting the tone nonetheless. It sends shivers down my spine every time I close my eyes to it. Masterfully done. This is a definite keeper, and I applaud both mixers for their efforts.

I love this mix! There's just something so relaxed and even spiritual about it. Never thought I'd say that about anything FFX2 related! Thank you.

Such a calm, peaceful remix. I like this one a lot. It is one that you would listen to at anytime. What I love a lot about this remix is that it basically is helping me through a hard time right now. A lot of bad things are going on, yet this remix always makes me smile. You did a great deed making this song. Believe me, this soul will forever be touched by it.

Even as I write this, words can't explain what I'm thinkin'. I WILL say this though. This remix was beautifilly done right down to the end. I've been listening to it for about the past hour/hour and a half. But what gets me the most is that this is just an instrumental. With how it sounds and whatnot I'd think some type of vocal arangement would be put over this. Another thing I can't get over is that when these remixes are done, the ones geared toward hip hop and the like, I find a lack of lyricists who don't step up. That and I'm never around to step up myself. But then, for all I know, I'm just making assumptions that everyone is musically multi-gifted. That's not the point. The point IS...I'm stepping up. If there is anybody, and I do mean ANYBODY, that needs a lyricist for a hip hop remix I'm your man. My Email address is on the site...contact me whenever you need.

Beautiful, calm, serene .... such a soothing track, and a lack of familiarity with the source is no hinderance to enjoying it.

Yeah, actually it still kinda bugs me. I may try to convince him to resubmit it. It may be simple, but darn it, "Matoya no Fuuketsu" was some fine work. :x

Being the loyal and die-hard Final Fantasy fan that I am, I was so very into the game Final Fantasy X when it was released. I was sucked-in by the plot, instantly. I simply could not wait until the sequel was released so that I could find out what happened about Yuna, and what the deal was with Tidus reappearing at the end of the game in that ocean. The music of X was wonderful. I loved EVERY bit of it. So much, that I ordered the OST straight from Japan. When I learned that Final Fantasy X-2 was being released, I was thrilled. The very day that the game was released in the United States, I rushed to the store to buy it, carried it with me to work, let it set on my desk and build up my anticipation to unbelievable amounts. When I got home, the first thing I did was put the game in. I was captivated by the opening title credits song, "Eternity - Memory of Light and Waves." Then... when I played through the rest of the game and found an utter and complete lack of similarly-styled material, I was sick at my stomach. That, plus the fact the game was more like a campy version of Girls Gone Mild: The Game. I beat the game. I got 100% on it, as a matter of fact, and got to see the "Perfect" ending. It was a mediocre ending. Nothing like I expected, and I needed to buy the soundtrack like I needed a hole in my head. So, the only song that left me with some satisfaction from the video game was Eternity. I get a somnambulant feeling while listening to this. It's a mix of my song from the game, and it is an excellent mix. Definitely worthwhile to listen to. If I had it playing in my car stereo, I would not be driving: I would be sleepwalking. It is excellent. It is ethereal. It is worthwhile and recommended.

Message to Sephire (Who's work I'm very fond of!). Please please please may I have your permission to use this piece in an animation I am working on and submit the finished work -including music- to my DeviantArt.com gallery? It would be fantastic if you would allow me to use it since it fits the mood EXACTLY.
I love this piece, I've listened to it over and over! It's a great tune to just reminise. I liked the original too so this would naturally be really nice!

Thanks for reading!

Sorry for the late response, but you're welcome to use it however you like. I'm sure Fatty Acid won't mind either. If he let me totally overhaul his work, I'm sure he won't mind your use.

I love listening to this driving down the freeway on a rainy day, it's so perfect. It just takes the gloominess away and puts me at peace with everything. That hip-hoppish beat and piano are amazing and they fit well together and it maintains the cleansing beauty of Eternity from the game. Keep these coming!

The minimalistic feel to this mix works in its favor. I love how the music layers with just the right amount of beat. Great work guys! One of my faves when I'm in the mood for something downtempo.

This is a thing of beauty. A love song between two instruments as fine as has ever been told. As one fades, the other slides in and carries them on; then each sings its own part, which only together makes a song; and finally they intertwine and rise into twinkling chimes. I cannot help but longingly smile at the simple and honest devotion made manifest in the subtleties of this piece.

On first listen, many... months... ago, I was turned off at how upfront the drum kick and synth were in the mix. While I no longer mind the synth, the drums are still uncomfortably loud when listening at volume. But both do carry the mix, and I see why they were done as they were. If nothing else, the atmosphere becomes delicate when they dissipate, and this is timed perfectly with the more poignant sections. And, of course, the rest of the instrumentation fits beautifully.

Upon listening to the source, I cannot help be even more impressed. A very pleasant and heartfelt tune has been given an excellent interpretation, yes, but what strikes me most is how much more emotion has been infused. And I repeat myself.

This remix is the musical version of the woman you find you want to spend the rest of your life with.

Thank you, Messrs Floyd and Liao.

While the original source is more complex in getting its "message" this track does with subtly and attention to detail. I've always really enjoyed these two dudes work and this track has been a constant on my playlist for quite some time.

I remember hearing the FF x-2 piano arrange album and was floored by the quality of some of the tracks. Melodically, this one is really nice, and the atmosphere is really chill as well. I love the panned and slightly gated synths, and the piano bits. This is a mix that really surrounds you, and though the theme is often either in the background or otherwise obscured, it flows really nicely.

This is really a sleeper track to me- the more I listen to it, the more I love it.

Fantastic work guys, this one is beautiful.

This is absolutely lovely, I remember how elated I was when I first listened to this... it's so bubbly, it picks you up and transports you to somewhere happier for 4 and a half minutes and then drops you back down... ultimately I'm just left wanting to loop this one so I can experience that all the time :-)

I don't usually gush like this in reviews, but this one feels a lot more about the emotion created by the sounds rather than the technical aspects of the arrangement, so I wanted to comment more on how it made me feel from a subjective standpoint. This mix is beautiful and I don't think I would be acknowledging the scope of its greatness with an objective review.

Soooo good, you guys. Make more like this! ^_^

This song is perfect to listen to at night on a balcony or under stars on a cool, light breezy night,
Or as a slow dance song w/ your significant other,
Or just in a romantic setting in general.

This song, if it's missing anything, is just the environment factor. It's relaxing and calming, yes. But compare listening to it while in the subway/train or generally in a hectic area, versus listening to it under one of the given conditions above.

That may just be the reason why the judges felt that something was missing.

Not sure exactly how the remixers intended this song to be taken, but this is how I took it and that really brought it out to the best of it's potential for me.
