The People's Remix Competition 173
PRCv7-17

Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! (www.doulifee.com/prc/PrcSong/PRCcommercial.wmv)

After a win by default from Obtuse it's time for another PRC. Obtuse selected a source from a game he didn't like much, he only liked the song. But good remixes of it he likes the most.

PRC Classic of the two weeks
PRC46 is the classic this time. Aquatic Ruin from Sonic The Hedgehog was the source, selected by Bladiator (if the winner from PRC45 selected this tune). A good number of 6 participating plus one bonus song by S|r Nuts was the result. Majeliss claimed the victory by beating PRC-legend Rexy.

Winner: Dance of aqua By Majeliss
2nd: Mobius Flytrap By Rexy
3rd: Coastal Contemplation By Ichitootah
4th: Neptunian ballet By The Orichalcon
5th: mY wORLD By Nodspaw51
5th: A quartet Ruenzo By Vindkast
Bonus Mix: La salsa del mar By S|r Nuts

More information can be found at Doulifee's Place (http://doulifee.com/prc/PrcSong/prc.php?prcid=46)

This rounds source
This round, Obtuse selected the source.

I remember renting Fester's Quest and hating it. But I loved the Overworld Music. The main melody is awesome.

PRC instructions
If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness.
Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed.
Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link (http://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC173) by EXTENDED: WEDNESDAY JUNE 30th at 10:59 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) or the ThaSauce page for the exact time left.
You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix.
Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted.
Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score.
The winner of the previous contest can't take part, but he/she can enter a Bonus Mix and she/he has a vote that counts twice.

I was working on it before I saw this. Since it's so pitchy it'll be hard but I can still do it.

Another extention. New deadline is Wednesday.

The next PRC (174) and the one after that (175) will be a little longer because of vacation.

One song, one winner.

Elsalluz / Salluz, you may select the source for PRC174. Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM (http://www.ocremix.org/forums/private.php?do=newpm&u=8264), other options are PM me @ ThaSauce (http://thasauce.net/modules.php?name=Private_Messages&mode=post&u=78) or by e-mailing to bambombim@gmail.com (I prefer PM @Ocremix) before next Friday, July 2nd at 11:59 am Eastern US Time.

You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. Check it at the list:
http://sites.google.com/site/bambombim/prc
http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc (also downloadable via the link above).

I hope that round has more songs (I'm hoping that for the last 10 rounds or something, so...).

Done now, hope yall like the next one. I might have to solicit some remixers. I think they'll go for it.
