I liked AkumajoBelmont's other 2 remixes on this site, but not so much this one.

Reminds me of those light, inoffensive, post-Robert-Miles Pop-trance tracks we used to get in the mid 90s.
I love Akumajo's work, its just fun.
ReMix aside painful. Female robot voice sounds awful. Some transitions arenīt bad. But the square wave used between 02:24 and 02:53 has noises of bad quality.
Personally I think it could be better. But anyway itīs good enough to be accepted here. I like the panning on the instrumentation and the end, so different.
STOP USING FL SLAYER!! PLEASE!!

Unfortunately, this won't play properly on my desktop... Works fine on my MP3 player, though, so yay. It's something different from my collection, and this is a good thing. ^^

Who's using FL Slayer??? i didn't use it in this track... and the square wave in the bridge section is a distorted square, so any distortion is intentional :)
Thanks for the comments :) keep em' coming :)

I want to know what is that at 01:36. It could be the robot voice. But I think it is the Slayer so hidden.

My complaint is not the distortion of the square. Never, because it is very cool. The square wave has something strange in terms of quality on this certain period. Thatīs the problem here.

This remix had such great potential. Too bad it's wasted on great anticipation. It tries hard on building up a majestic mood by the robtic sounds and ..suddenly fails hard by the lack of further imagination.

Doh, this song started out pretty good. The first 10 seconds sounded really neet. But as soon as that cornball robot voice came in, I actually couldn't help but start laughing out loud. I would have liked to hear some more things done with the melody and some variety added to the mix. Your playfullness at 2:26 is one example, but I think you could have done a bit better than that. 4/10 my friend.

Ignore all previous reviews please.
For some reason, I have a thing for early 90s trance/pop/dance/club garbage.
I do think that the robot voice is extremely appropriate for the type of song this is. Don't listen to this thinking that you will get something other than it is.

I guess you can't please everyone... :? Hey, on the plus side, you sure did please me! I like this one quite a bit. Very slick. I can't believe how many negative reviews this one has gotten. Do not listen to them I say!

An interesting piece, to say the least...
I like it, overall, though the second stanza of the vocals is incredibly difficult to make out. Had the words not been posted, I would likely have not realized there was a second part to the vocals, and even then, it took me a little bit of effort to register where they were.
I cannot say that this piece is one I feel is either good or bad; it is something which will appeal to me at some times, and yet I will dislike it at other times. However, it seems that it is, itself, a moody arrangement, so perhaps this is not so much an issue.
Now, as for the robot voice, I think it is actually a rather good addition to this mix. Perhaps, however, it could have been used for more than the vocals. The sound of it is as much a part of the song as is any other part of it, and some of the issue with it may be that the inclusion of the voice is so sudden. The beat of the music goes along very well, and then the robot voice jumps in with no warning, creating some rather interesting waves in the mix.
And, on the topic of sudden moments in this mix, its ending comes to mind. It happens so quickly that, on the first listen, I was actually caught off guard and had thought my player had stopped. You bring in a few new sounds, making it seem almost as if you are about to launch into an entirely new section of the mix, but just as some of the pieces become noticeable and the listener begins to focus on them, everything suddenly stops.
I can see where this can be used as a major part of the song, an ending to the craft in the game or an ending to the robot/traveler's journey in a rather abrupt (and likely dire) end, but for the piece itself, well... I feel it was just too sudden of an ending.
Overall, I feel that this is a good arrangement. Nice job on it.

I've never even heard of the system this game was released on, not to mention the game itself, but I really enjoyed this remix. I thought the female robovoice fit in well, and everything seemed very well put together. I don't normally download remixes of games I've never played, but I'm making an exception for this one. :)

I'm diggin' this. I don't really have a problem with the voice except that the lyrics are the same over and over and it's a tad bit annoying. I'm groovin' though so no complaints on my end.

Hell Yeah!
I am seriously digging the past 8 new songs released from OC remix. This is one of them. It just sounds like it belongs in a video game... which is what I always want.

I really like this song, it sounds like something Funker Vogt would release on one of his albums.
Great work, i'd love to hear more songs like this. :)

This is a piece to be played very loudly. The lyrics are cool enough to be engraved on the fuselage of an airplane.

Haha. Great fun. The vocals really make this remix, it wouldnīt be quite so good without them, but now that theyīre there.. YEE-HAW! Vocoders ROCK!
Definitely not my style of music, but still this is just awesome. Iīm in a good mood after hearing it. The vocoder is just fantastic and the lyrics are super. Awesome vibe.
Many great new remixes on OCR in the past few weeks or so..

Yet another slam dunk. The techno voice sounds like something you would find with Daft Punk.
So Robbie is 2 for 2 in terms of songs with lyrics. Keep it up.

Hey! Sorry for being nosy, but what kind of vocoder/voice effect was used in this song? I never tried a voice effect before that sounded so cool. Daft Punk quality, my friend. I just wanted to know what effects was used to get that voice vocoder sound. Cool song, by the way! :D The vocoder is to die for. Obey it.

This is my current favorite remix right now. I absolutely love it. The voice, the techno, the *feel* of it!
I often have it on repeat for awhile or so, I love it that much!
Thank you so much for making this!!
It really does make me so happy, just to listen to it~~

Sweetness. This remix rules, it reminds me of a night club or the 70's or something. I just can't place it but it rocks. It makes me wanna play the game really bad!

Trčs chic; it even makes me use french!
Perhaps a little more lyrical variety woulda been nice, but maybe not - the words just ... mesh so well with the song.
hey this reminds me... what ever did come of that wave race 64 mix? Due to it, I have strange, random words stuck in my head, like, "Turn around" and "upside down" which have odd double connotations. Hope you've gotten a male vocalist for it... but even if you didn't, I thought your latest (posted) version in WIP was highly chic, sexy, etc.
Man, this is so catchy! Love the robot voice.
Great energy in this track... not typically a fan of robot voices, but it just fits in extremely well here. Eerie effects, great beat, and it just doesn't get old.
Way unexpected, but damn, does this track deliver! Great vocoder, a pounding beats, excellent effects, and cool synths. Also, the source is completely hot, and the arrangement fits it like a glove.
An obscure track from an obscure game that certainly doesn't deserve obscurity. Check this one out RIGHT NOW!

I don't know the game.
I don't know the source tune.
I don't know what the story is behind it.
I don't know anything except this is superb quality, amazingly catchy, and great all around. Can't get it out of my head, and the vocoding is just...SO DAMN GOOD. ARGH!
Akumajo, have my music babies. And never stop making these vocal mixes.

Like most of the others, I don't know the game, or the original song, but the first time I heard this ReMix I was captivated. I had to hear it again, and find out what game this song was from, etc. The dynamic quality of the song and high energy was just astounding. The lyrics are appropriate, and add greatly to the mood. This is one of the few that has earned status of me coming back to it... again and again to listen for years now since it was first released. Excellent job; I would love to see more ReMixes from this artist.
