LAOS, you dog! I was totally gonna be the first poster on this one. Hehehe, no, ees okay.
1:57- Ba dooby doo, (hoo hoo!)
BRILLIANT! Me roffles. This is a real gem, blad. Whenever I'm down, I'll be listening to this (and Hillbilly Rodeo, of course) for a quick boost. Quite the talent you have, sir.

I heard this quite a while ago, the Blad himself graced me with it personally. Certainly is one sexy mix, with some damn right good playing.
I love the brief stops with percussion, especially at 1:58 with the hoo hoo's. I'm cheesy, it gets to me.
Good stuff man.

Ohh what a lounge song. I'll just sip this last shot of brandy listening to this exquisite piece of a remix.
Combines three things I love. Bladiator, Piano, and Final Fantasy VIII. Just an orgy of beautiful sound in my ear, spontaneously exploding all over my senses.

Hoo hoo's 4 life!! :)!!
I must say I wasn't a fan of FF8. I love the FF series, but that one just didn't do it for me. I think it was the battle system. Also, I didn't like the music. With that said, this piece is fantastic. If it had been like this in the game, things might have been different. An excellent song, my friend. Going into the latin feel was brilliant. Around 1:42, I think is my favorite part. Then you go into this Godfather sound, and I was laughing, thinking how much better FF8 would've been with the Godfather in it.

I haven't found any really GREAT remixes worthy of a dl in a while, and though my partiality to FF VIII probably has somethign to do with it, this is a great mix. The variety is high, but not bad. The use of all the different styles is a pretty risky move, but here it's executed perfectly. My ONLY complaint is that the pauses seem a bit out of place. Great job.

First off, I've got Zipp beat, I stopped playing at 7, and I haven't even beaten that... but ON TO THE PIECE! although many of Bladiator's works as collabs have made his amazing piano skillz, and thats what they are, go somewhat unnoticed, I thought this was just going to be another amazing solo piano Arrangment, for whatever game I always appreciate a piano take on it, so's to see what I could do if I had half the will. Although never hearing the orignal, I see now that this man, nay, LEGEND in some circles, does as well with a piano, as with a multi instrument ReMiX, be it collab or whatnot
11 out of 10, amazing work good sir

This is a really enjoyable interpretation of the original. It's all just flowing along, like a sea of stars. So, what is it now, the fifth time I play it in a row? Pleasant bass. But yeah, nicely done, Sir. :)
(HOO HOO? I hate the sound! As I hate Hell, all Gorons.)

Finally, some fucking tango. Bukki's Tango so doesn't count.
And actually, this piece is only about half-tango anyways.
I will have to one-up this song by making a FULL tango song. And it will automatically be better because I have a REAL accordion :E
But seriously, nice work anyway.

Damn... I mean...
DAMN.
This is damn Good stuff. This is a remix thats shows that sometimes you don't always have to have THE best samples in the world to remix. Still, Bladiator makes the best with what he's got. Very well constucted and executed. I especially like how it slows down and gets faster towards the end. Crazy.
Oh, yeah
I guess I like tango music. Something new I didn't even about myself. Huh

Finally! People that don't abhor the hoo hoos! You all make me very happy. Also, just to clarify, the original reason behind the song title is the fact that I still use a MIDI tracker circa 1996, so it will only save 8-letter file names. Only after re-reading what I had saved the file as did I giggle and realize it's true potential. :)

Great song, I agree with DJP's True Lies vibe, heh. Then at the end it sounds like what you'd hear at an Eastern European wedding, up tempo and bouncing.
Only concern is, as a huge FFVIII fan (both of the game and soundtrack) that I couldn't pick out the source material very well. Minor gripe, and probably just cause I haven't heard it in a while...

It's the Waltz music from the scene between Rinoa and Squall. It's also the melody in Eyes on Me.
Nice work getting it posted up there Blad, it's a great solid and enjoyable piece to listen to, enough said. One thing I find interestingly unique about it is that if you try to hum the original melody along with it, it sounds very much out of place, however by itself this piece stands strong. Dare I say that Squall and Rinoa would probably enjoy dancing to this piece more than the one they did in the game (although it might be a little too fast-paced for two-left-feet Squall.)
I love the build up from about 2:15. Nicely done, gives the piece a really great dynamic feel.
On the very minuscule negative side. The generic percussion used as a backing to the piece is very flat. By far it works out well enough, though from a nitpicking point of view, if it had a more realistic ambience to it, the piece could have sounded much more powerful.
Like I said, that's only a tiny issue for me. It doesn't take any of the enjoyment out of the mix. Kudos.

Bolded my exact sentiments. That's what I mean, after that Energy Tank remix flowing the Brinstar theme throughout the song, maybe I was too hooked on being able to place the source in throughout the song.

I play this song over and over just to get that perfect silent tension at 0:50 before the percussion drops on me milliseconds later.
Great stuff.

Judgment Title: Moontang
Maker Of Such Title: Bladiator
Comments Made Before Judging:
I'm one of the 100 fans of Final Fantasy VIII over at VGMix, so I think I should check this one out. ;)
The Moment Of Judgment:
At first, I thought this was a straight-up piano arrangement, but as I listened, I noticed that some Latin was included as well, and you had so much at risk too. Nicely done.
I know this is odd of me, but since you remixed this song in such a fashion, I might as well tell you. Whenever 0:50 kicked in, I immediately thought of The Sims 1 for the PC, you know, when you're in the neighborhood? Just a thought.
Bladiator, this song is so cool, as you not only have a piano going on, but you've got many other things too. This shows the variousness you can create and I believe that expresses your skill in creativity. Great job. Highly recommended.
Pro's: - Nice length.
- Good samples.
- Great panning placements.
- Neat transitions.
- Awesome piano playing.
Con's: - Some of the SFX are too quiet.
Suggestions Of Such Judgment:
Just increase the dynamics of some samples, but other than that, you've got what it takes.
The Fate Of My Judgment:
Bladiator, I think this is an interesting take, on your behalf that is. Normally you'd just play the piano, but you've added more this time, and you succeeded! You had so much at risk, but you pulled it off. Nicely done. PM me about your next release, good luck with it, and I hope you take care now.
The Type Of Salvation Brought From My Judgment: 94%
Final Fantasy, The Sims 1, and piano arrangement fans, as well as people that can listen to anything, are sure to enjoy. Highly Recommended.

Oh it's nice, oh so nice to know that I've been found.
You did it Blad. I don't know how, but you found that deleted scene from Amelie that I swore to everyone existed. You obviously know what I'm talking about: it's the date scene where Amelie and this guy have magical and bewildering adventures around her hometown. What you didn't know, was that the guy she hooks up with is ME.
My thoughts and visions of Moontang:
The scene begins in black and white as she waits in despair for her tall dark and handsome date to arrive. As she shyly takes a look around, she's further depressed by the many lonesome sights of single sad women crying on benches. But then...
Her date arrives, taking her by the hand, whirling her into his arms. The scene bursts into juicy reds and greens. I dip her slowly, then pull her up with a sensual jolt and stare into her eyes.
Soon, we're whisked away upon a bright blue bike around the town. The local baker waves to them with a fresh loaf of bread in his hand, the old blind man waves in the wrong direction as we ring the bicycle bell, all the kids come laughing and chasing after us...
There's a cute shot where we're nursing an icecream cone together, I give her the eye and a wink (two claps), then she gives a squeeze on the package (two hoots)!
The night is winding down...but no less interesting. We decide to stop and watch a mime in the lantern lit town square. He cries black painted tears, and enacts the story of a young girl pining as she waits for her beloved. I give Amelie a tight squeeze to let her know I'm there. Suddenly (as the story no doubt goes), the mime is joined by another--they embrace, the wait is over! Soon, the entire square is flooded with a circus of dancing mimes!
I grab Amelie and we join the wonderful insanity. The celebration grows more and more furious and chaotic until everyone's spinning and flying through the air. And while the madness continues to flurry, I stop and grab Amelie, look deep into her eyes, and smile. She's mousy and nervous, not knowing what to do. So I plant one on her lips, and the camera pans out slowly, up into the air...oh the wonder!
I hope you enjoyed that scene as much as me...I'll never forget it.
Thanks for the track

Tu parle francais?
Because this remix has a neat touch of France I think. The piano tune was classical, like if you were at a pianobar or something. Très bien, monsieur bladiator.
Au revoir.

When I saw the title I didn't know what to expect. At first I thought of the drink Tang...but that didn't quite go with FF8 to me. So I decided I'd download it to find out!
The piano intro is neat but then the real fun starts around 0:50 with the shaker. There's even handclapping! WEE! :o I think of France everytime for some reason! A great catchy tune that also reminds me of summer and how I wish it were here now.

WOW WOW WOW!
I thought this was gonna have a close liking to 'waltz of the moon' but no! THis turned out to be real different and so full of fun! lol.
I enjoyed it to the very end!
I felt like I wanted to get up and dance on it!
I agree with everyone else about it sounding French! It had that, too.
Great job! Looking forward to hearing more from you!
Nice sweeping intro that I knew was going to lead up to something cool, and there is no disappointment to be had here. Percussion is silly, but works well, and the accordion sounds authentic. The violin isn't as good, but the job is done well enough.
Overall fun and catchy, a good performance combined with a creative flair, this one is worth your time.
I agree with everyone else about it sounding French!
Yeah, I can definitely feel that this has a Parisian cafe vibe, but towards the end, I'm getting an ethnic Russian vibe to it too. Maybe with a stop in Salzburg getting there, but I'm overthinking it at this point. >.>
But it's the little things that make this interesting like the piano in the intro and the castanets and clapping. There's just a lot going on in this mix, and all of it is handled amazingly well. This is well worth a listen.
