Ya'll best recognize.
Yeah. I listened it on VGMix. Dhsu played the piano so nice, like his previous mixes. Also is the same song ReMixed by virt on his "Once Upon a Time in Transylvania" (http://vgmix.com/song_view.php?song_id=3580). I love it! Great stuff, Dhsu!

Absolutly brilliant piano solo. And even as a medley of 2 of the greatest CV tunes ever !
You have classic dexterity Dhsu :D

It got 2nd place in the DoD for a reason. Mostly because it's a damn good piano solo.

I've been waiting way too damn long for someone to do justice to "Clockworks" and I'm very, very glad someone could pull it off with such a flair for the insanity that the original track had oozing out its pores.
Brilliantly done. :)

the recording is a bit soft and "distant". I know it's hard to record a piano with good levels and without clipping etc. The composition is excellent and the playing dynamics are very precise. (I can appreciate that cuz i play piano too :P) The arrangement seems almost like a fugue..with the next idea spinning from the previous & combined later in the piece. I'm not familiar with the origional so i'm not sure to what extent it does that in the first place, but i really like that style. Anyway good work, and im hard to please lol
Great Remix, it brings back some great Vampire Slaying memories...
Well anyhoo, the overall melody is very well done, with that "distant" feeling it has giving the idea that the tune is being played in a large, abandoned castle ball room, house to a now dead boss (Dracula?)...But i digress, that feeling really complements the overall tune and it seems that the room gets more and more enemies as the tempo picks up, and soon there is a full fledged battle going on, ending with a boss duel (vampire killer).
Great tune, fits the CV style completly. Albeit a little short (i want more!!) there is no complaint i have about it!
Keep up the Good Work

Oh snap Dhsu, that's one powerful bag! And I've been trying to play piano without one all these years. I'm going to hit the supermarket, in the meantime...:nicework:

Nerf bags!
Dude, they've already been nerfed. If this were OCR 3.0, I wouldn't have even made mistakes.
I did think about using the Blindfold of Mario, but that was only +5 to talent, and I felt the recycling penalty was worth it. ;)

Not to keep off topic, (PS: this song rocks), but next time, try for the Garbage Bag of Ultimate Skills +30.

Amazing. The piano skill in this number is phenomenal. So good, in fact, that no accompaniment is neccessary. And, after watching that vid (which brought tears to my eyes), I'm just stunned. You make the world a better place.
My only (minor) complaint is, of course, the combination of songs. Most disagree with me on this, but this is OC Remixed not OC Recombined. Please, don't take me wrong: I love this tune and the skill.

I've practically already praised you in the topic concerning of you playing most of this song with that bag over your head (which was the shite by the way) But being a long time Castlvania fan, (since numero 1) This does justice to Clockwork, so including I like me some piano solos often, so again, Dshu, great job!
Sheet music (http://personal.utulsa.edu/~david-hsu/music/Castlevania_3_A_Clockwork_Vampire_OC_ReMix.MUS) now available (.MUS format). Thanks to Andrew Owen for the much-needed assistance!
PDF will be coming later.
Edit: PDF is now up. (http://personal.utulsa.edu/~david-hsu/music/Castlevania_3_A_Clockwork_Vampire_OC_ReMix.pdf)

The youtube video is nice but the echo's and lower quality dont do it justice, Listen to the MP3.

Dhsu is a piano master, no doubt about it. This piece starts out somewhat slow and ponderous, but it's the frantic, frenetic, and downright amazing stuff in the second half that really makes this arrangement shine.
Wow, someone just sent me a message on YouTube telling me they transcribed the entire thing into Mario Paint Composer by ear. Impressive! Most impressive!

w00t! That's great : D
A classic OCR track, IMO. It has a grea tfeel throughout, and the ending half is totally rocking stuff.
Not much to say but this is (vampire) killer work, and you should check it out immediately.
The unhurried pace of the first source playthrough hints at the delicate thoughts and emotions it covets. Then, as if to throw them out the window, the second iteration morphs into a perilous yet poetic simulation of the Clock Tower falling apart (or maybe it's just Trevor quickening his footsteps on the stairs). The intensity pulls back at just the right moment in Vampire Killer (2:14) before ramping back up with an extra helping of tense bass notes (2:29) and closing with a final tease of Clockwork.
Bag or no bag over head, this is a cheeky little romp.
Oh wow. I feel like I got a "two for the price of one" remix. This is a really interesting because of the mood and tempo changes; it's like the entire mix is a whirlwind crescendo. First half is melancholy and well paced, then the chaos seeps in giving it a panicky, hurried feel, which as an immediate prelude to Vampire Killer seems so deliciously appropriate. Needless to say, this is an awesome mix.
