This piece really fits the time of the year, 'tis the season for wholesome piano scores! I couldn't help but let my foot tap out of control while listening along. Short but sweet, and most definitely brings a lot to the table. Hey, for a live recording, this came out pretty darn good! I hardly would've noticed a difference. :P

Once again Blad kicks some serious ass
May type up some semblance of a review tommarow, but I'm incoherent tonight, so all I can say is, great mix :-D keep up the awesome work
Just what everyone else said--the recording leaves a lot to be desired, but the arrangement is fresh, fun and ever so bladiated.
Here's to better recording on future mixes.
Other wise, great work as usual.

Once again, Blad reminds me why he is one of my favorite artists on OCR. Even though the recording quality wasn't great, I still loved it.

You guys are lucky...
Bladiator's favourite game is Captain Novalin.
Oh, and learn English Karl; anyways isn't a word. It's anyway.
Psh... anyways... where does this guy get off?

Wow, I've actually heard this one before. I think Blad posted it in a thread where people were showing off their live music skills. I loved it then and I loved it now. When I first got it, this song sat in my walkman for many moons. I think it's time to stick it in there again.
Glad to see this is finally on OCR!

Niiiiice. I like this. It's so...jubilant. Jubilant is a good word. I definitely admire your talent on the piano, I wish I could play like that. I wish I could play, period. Anyway, the fact that this is so full of rainbow and sunshine energy makes you just want to huggle a physical embodiment of this remix. Or Blad himself. Huggles are in order.

It's a great, joyful little ditty. I enjoyed listening to it. And the song's title? Bwahahahaha! Funny and cool!

Ooh. I like this. It makes me want to smile. What a cheerful piece by an obviously talented pianist. Good stuff.

I wasn't going to download this...until I saw the remixer. Bladiator, how doooo you do it?
P.S. - I might get a tattoo of "1:36" over my heart.

Wow, another fantastic tune from one of my favorite remixers. IMO, this is almost as great as Grand Valse Mario, which remains my favorite Bladiator remix. Keep up the good work!
I wasn't going to download this...until I saw the remixer.
Indeed. I got it in the same way.
This is certainly a nice work. The piano proposed here is very catchy; there have a cool variation of volume notes and powerful execution.
I always like piano solo mixes. This is an example of how this can be so good. Sweet mix.

Very nice piano piece. I love the slight changes in the cadence starting at 1:30 and the very bright modulation at 1:50.

I usually dislike bladiator piano pieces, but I actually enjoyed this. In my opinion, this is definately a step up from your usual boring/non-inspirational piano crap.
Excellent. Just... Excellent.
This is an amazing mix, from a not remixed game... Which is a shame, because personally, i enjoyed the Yoshi Story music. The actual game still makes a great rental.
The piano is really great, and I like the extra reverb from the live record.
Overall, very good music, from a very good game!

Simply awesome. My favorite aspect would be the use of dynamics, exaggerated at some points to surprise the listener. Great shit.

Excellent piano piece.
I think (feel) it mixes energy with emotion.
I just wonder if it is all written, or improvised ?

Thanks for all the happy thoughts on the piece, guys. I really appreciate it. And who knew it was the first from this game? Woot!

I had every note exactly the way I wanted it before I started. But I didn't write anything out.

I only know the source tunes from having played SSBM, but I still really enjoyed this Remix. Not only is it a great arrangement, but as a double bonus, we get an amazing live performance to go with it. Add to that a cheesetastically awesome title, and this one's definitely a keeper. Nicely done. :)

Now this is one tune that definitly was in grave need of remixing ,the original on N64 was horrible as i remembered
Nice job ,Bladiator :)

Another version of this was already posted at VGMix, but I have to say this one is even better, despite the mediocre recording quality. Somehow, there's just nothing that can beat the sound of a real piano.

This is very great stuff, just like all the other remixes you did! Personally, I actually don't see what's with the recording quality! It's just sound great to me! Now for the suck-up part  : Ever thought about playing in a symphonic orchestra or something? I also think it would be real nice if you could do a duo on piano with Pixietricks singing!

This is beautiful. I like it a lot. If Yoshi's Story was a better game it might be worthy of this "ditty".

backhanded compliments lol.
This was one of your better pieces, certainly karl. but the criticism I have is "MAEK UR SONGS LONGER PLZ" It feels like the song is just taking off when it ends. My favorite of your works, Suicide for Two Pianos (ocr submit??) takes all of its ideas and climaxes beautifully. I WANT THAT IN THIS. kthnx.
none of the suicide train remixes can be submitted due to the original song being an actual track "Hotta - Sky 2"

Very nice, Bladiator. I enjoyed your song. The tunes on Yoshi's Story were OK, but they were let down by annoying 'instruments'. The piano really adds something to it. :)

Wow. Just wow. Piano is one of my favorite hobbies. Actually, I couldn't call it a hobby. It's more like a way to drown my sorrows or something like that. XD
Anyway, this remix is beautiful, it can set up the mood very well.
Karl, you are my idol. Please post sheet music. :D

I love this. Since I didn't feel like reading pretzal's comments, I just jumped right to the song, expecting trippy, Yoshi-singing madness. This is almost as good- kidding, kidding! *dodges brick* Absolutely beautiful. Nice work.

It was so cute when the Yoshis sang this originally on the game. Now this remix plays the tune in a more mature manner; it's as if all of a sudden, I'm like, this song just grew up and there you are listening to the utter beauty it has grown into. Well, that's my analogy, but really, this complex piano piece is just amazing. Enough said.

I like the title. :?
Absolutely beautiful stuff here. It's so...jubilant and yet...mature, like someone else said. It's a nice balance. Now only if you could re-record it, it would be perfect. Sound quality and such, y'know?

This just came up in iTunes. I don't remember if I listened to it when I first downloaded it (I must have..), but I'm really digging this. I'm a mediocre piano player, but I always love trying out stuff like this anyway. I have a simplified version of klutz's 600 AD in Piano memorized.

Awesome awesome awesome! This is like the happiest piano piece I think I've heard on this site, ever. It's ridiculously uplifting without being cheesy, unlike the game. Short but sweet.
Also, this and "Mean Streak on Main Street" are the best remix titles. EVAR.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that this would make great material for a senior recital on piano at a music school. Of course, I'd remember to give you credit!
I'm also gonna echo others and beg you to post sheet music of this. Please? Hard as I try, I can't do this song justice...

The title is awful, in a good way.
Very cute piece, definatly makes me think of Charlie Brown. Wish the recording was better quality, but it has charms of it's own as is.
My qualm with it is that the two little chromatic sections seem out of place. I feel like if you had done more with those two tiny sections it would have been fine, but as it is there isn't enough for it to really 'fit in.'
Worth the download.

this is one of the best remixes ever
I am sorry that I did not pay proper attention to bladiator in the past
that has changed; he is fantastic
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand this is one of the best remixes ever
Instead of spotlighting individual keys, this piano mix is driven by groupings of chords and runs which, when combined with the factor of distance/reverb, produces a warm and enveloping soundscape. It certainly warms my heart. <3
pft, a remix review where i can pretty much just quote DA? Makes it easy on me. :-D
But no, Karl is too cool to have a cut and paste review. Really, I am not feeling the 2 chromatic bits, but the rest is phenomenal; I love the energy that picks up, and how effortless it all sounds. One of my favorite OCR piano mixes. It's infectious. :-)

Heh. The thing I love about this piece (other than the epic piano work my feeble fingers can't begin to appreciate in a lifetime) is the maturity of it; especially compared to the source. Always with Bladiator's live piano remixes, I don't feel ashamed in the slightest to be listening remixes, even on such extremes as Yoshi (or Kirby) tunes.
