It's about time a MM7 remix got on here, and it's great one. Sweet remix Trenthian, if I could find my hat I'd tip it. Gotta love the shade man level.

Sweet! I always love hearing newer reworked versions of old PRC mixes (in this case Trenthian's first version of Bombing Shade of Blue was from PRC26 (http://www.doulifee.com/prc/PrcSong/prc.php?prcid=26), the first year anniversary celebration). Click that link for more Shademan love.
Great stuff as usual, Trenthian. I can't decide whether or not I love you for making such great music or hate you for making music that's so much better than what I can do.

Ah yes, Shade Man. I love the stage music for the level, and this remix was really good. Man, we need more MM7 love on this site. Great work, Trenthian.

Wow! This is truly great stuff. I loved every moment of it. Beautiful
Good stuff, good stuff indeed, I didn't like Shademan but this is a hella good remix of his level, nice job.

I thought it was weird when this site didn't hve a MM7 remix, now we finally got one.
Doesn't sound too old for me, the string samples sounds perfectly fine, and there's isn't a problem with the synths and beats. The loud drum in the back may sound weird along with the rest of the arrangement, but it works for some reason.
I can't figure out the genre of this remix either. It's both sneaky and fast-paced at some points, and it's both techno and orchestra. I don't know what it is, but it sounds good.

Bout time we hear from Trenthian again! Thankfully, it's something incredibly awesome too! So much is going on during this mix; it's chaos at its most delicious.

I heard this one on vgmix before, I loved it then I love it now. I fully agree we need more megaman 7 mixs here.

am i the only one who heard it?
there is Super Ghouls and Ghost in this song. Starts at 2:01 and finished up at 2:20.
the song was nifty in most other regards too along the way, just needed to point that out.
EDIT: Yeah i was a dipshit, was rushing and getting the new songs. Didn't read clearly enough. Hah, my apologies.

1) It's already mentioned directly in the writeup.
2) The song is associated with this ReMix already, i.e. http://www.ocremix.org/detailsong.php?songid=859. That song is an arrangement of the GnG original, http://www.ocremix.org/detailsong.php?songid=831.

There's also the Super Mario Bros. game over tune at the end. Which feels a bit out of place... but it goes well with the intro atleast.

This is a solid arrangement, but I have to
agree with DJP that the drums are kind of underwhelming.
If Trenthian had used a different drum sample, preferably one with a deeper, darker sound,
this remix would have gone from good
to head-banging good.

I've also noticed the mentioned ghost and goblins song. Also, he seemed to place the stage select songs from other MM. Or that might just me noticing that...
But overall, it is rare to see MM7 songs here, and I love this one to death!

Never heard any Trenthian works here on OCremix up until now.
Now I feel like I have to go listen to the others. In fact... ::opens new window::
But yes...I love this mix, spunky and all. Though the end does sound slightly out of place.
To be honest I didn't liked this mix. Drums at 0:20 are too dry with a poor snare and very high volume. The cymbal/crash is generally anemic and badly inserted. The square wave is awesome. But the FL Slayer in 0:33 is really the sore. Even if the industrial beats are cool, I didn't got it. I'm not sure if those tracks from other games did some justice there. This was way uncreative for me. I somehow got the feeling there have many empty transitions as well.
Good stuff. But to be honest this is exactly the type of mix that I don't wanna listen to again.

I am happy to see that there is finally a Mega Man 7 remix, but I don't like it. It's not that your mixing was bad it more because I could not stand parts of it..because I don't like techno sounding songs. But I am still glad this site finally got some MM7 remixess. ;)

Good stuff methinks!
Don't put so much thought into the quality of the instruments, just listen to the song.
Its as bad as when someone intentionally plays a really fudged up guitar and people start jumping on the person for having it out of tune.
But I still wonder wtf the mario bit is for.

I have only posted in one other remix review. I only post in ones that I think are extremely good, and this song is flawless, I love it. Excellent job, can't wait to hear more from you, Trenthian.

I like this one! Much. Indeed.
Very nice bass line and excellent strings.
I can't help from singing the [0:19/0:26] part,
all day long - it is a bit boring for my co-workers, I guess.
La, la, laaaaa, laaa, laaaaaaaaa...
Thanks Trenthian.

I LOVE THIS TRACK! MUST....MAKE....MUSIC VIDEO....WITH IT. This mix just doesn't do any wrong here.
Its as bad as when someone intentionally plays a really fudged up guitar and people start jumping on the person for having it out of tune.
Not really. If someone plays the guitar out of tune we can give some opinions for the person to improve it. This mix (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00019/) is a good example of what you're talking about.
I basically did not liked it. But I gave some justifications about why it sounds awkward for me. I'm not simply jumping on the person who made it, as you said. I'm sure you haven't noticed my comment at all.
I think most of the comments given was unnecessarily positive and not constructive enough. I hope Trenthian will receive a better feedback next time.

Drums at 0:20 are too dry with a poor snare and very high volume.
personally i prefer weaker drums for this kind of music, otherwise they drown out the melody.
the bass level in this song could stand to be stronger, but otherwise i think it's golden.

This song is fantastic. It's quite possibly my favourite OC Remix. The awesomeness doesn't stop for one second.

Another excellent intro. I really like the transition from the chip tune sound into the orchestral stuff. Shortly after, the full extreme of the electro pop hits and it sounds great! The rhythmic synths really help drive this piece. The drums are great as the switch between break beat and a more four-on-the-floor style. I've always been a fan of great production with a cool chiptune lead in there. You pull it off really well. The marcato strings and how you use them remind me a lot of Audix's work and it sounds wonderful. The brass is hurting a bit in this track like it does in some of your past work, but again, that's a small complaint. Lots of dynamic shifts make this interesting and keeps my interest. Once again, the arrangement shines here. Love the Mario cameo in there. Terrific work!
Totally excellent work here, the percussion is absolutely slammin- i love that thick sizzling reverb tail on the hits. The brief megaman theme cameos were awesome, and the varied soundscape was good. a few weak samples here and there, but it was held together by both the strong arrangement and the good production.
Mario ending was cute but a little confusing.
Overall a cool synth/hybrid mix that does a lot of stuff right.
Quite recommended.
This is a really groovin' piece, and I like it a lot. A lot of what makes this interesting to listen to is how the mood and, to some extent, the texture changes from section to section, especially the Ghosts and Goblins inspired sections. Plus the intro and ending makes this piece feel like an actual run through a Mega Man level. Also is the ending a Mario allusion or am I just imagining things?
