I agree with Greg, the piano sounds wonderful; but the track as a whole was simply fantastic... Comming from The Wingless, what else is expected?

I enjoyed it a lot, along with the other TGL mixes; such a great game. <3

I like Canada.

And yes, an astoundingly beautiful mix from the wingless one. Wingless piano is > all.

If I'm hearing this correctly, this is the same source tune used in Wingless's other mix, Rosethorne (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00607/). This mix eschews the acoustic guitar in favor of a silky smooth piano, and Wingless buries the theme behind different layers this time, but the effect is the same -- a very chill mix. Keep up the great work.

Beautiful, simply beautiful. If this is how John sees making love, well... Dang, boy! 8O

Coincidentally, this mix was posted WHILE we were recording for the next episode of VGDJ, hehe. Tune in if you're interested in hearing an inside view from The Wingless himself. ^_^

EDIT:
Also, I thought the ending of this piece was incredible. I couldn't imagine it any other way.

how can the Wingless be so awesome at so many things. He is quite definitively, the man's man. In other words, yes I have a man crush on the Wingless, and no I am not ashamed of admitting it.

THANK YOU WINGY FOR PLEASING MINE EARS WITH YET ANOTHER EARGASM!!!!!!!!!!

The Wingless certainly has mastered the art of being awesome. Awesome, awesome song. I think I've already listened to it too many times.

The only thing better than a Guardian Legend Remix from The Wingless would be a Guardian Legend 2.

Wingless, if you're reading this. From what level is your StarFox "Obsidian Ocean"? It says it's from Zection Z but I can't get there and according to vgmusic.com it's the same music as the sun level but it sounds nothing like it.

It's from sector Y in the first starfox game actualy.

Sectore Y was an awsome level, there were killer sting rays, jelly fish, and giant whales all over that part of spave, which may be why his remix was called "Obsidian Ocean".

Oh yeah, to stay on topic.

This song is beautifull! I love the piano. :D

Definitely a great start to the year........ I'm reminded heavily of Rosenthorne, though - is this the same theme?

I have to agree with many of the others.. I just keep replaying the song. It's great.

It reminds me alot of Secret Garden. Very very elegant.

Great work.

I replay this over and over again. Such a fantastic song, so emotive. I'll be keeping this. It's MINE NOW.

I havent played or seen the game. And usually I'd go for only remixes on games I know. Then I decided to broaden my horizons and that sure paid off.

So then I came across this. I downloaded it after hearing 5 seconds of it really.

I seriously love the intro which replays the same bit but more instruments come in each time. Its beautiful and overall so well composed.

I'd like to hear the original track too though, so I can compare. But this song is definatly on my Current Favourites list now.
It's a nice, easy listening track and can't get bored of it.

Good work indeed

What's the opposite of "rolling over in his grave?"

Because Chopin and Strauss are doing that right now.

Fantastic!

To me, this song conjures up images of snow drifting past street lamps in the night. Thank you for the experience!

This is great stuff! Is it only me hearing some super metroid tune in there? Like at 0.50 something, and perhaps somewhere else too.

Very well done. I wish I could elaborate more, but my ears are still dining on the orchestral feast that is this song. Seriously, my brain can't process anything else right now because of how well this track was made. Piano is silky smooth, and the orchestra being slowly let in is exactly what set this track off for me. 10/10 and may god have mercy on your soul for being so awesome!

This brings a tear to my eye. Because it makes me think that this game deserved a manga, or an anime, yet it was never released (or at least none that I knew of..) but there are plenty of other animes out there with this kinda genre of video game. For example, Gundam Wing and Robotech. Bubblegum Crisis comes to mind also, forgive me, I am just speaking my mind.

Holy crap, Wingless. I sure do envy your awesomeness both in design and composition.

This mix: it's simple, beautifully harmonic and relaxing. You get a gold-star! Don't you go a-changin'!

The piano could be a little less "wet," but other than that very high quality. I needed only the first few seconds to know that this would be great.

NSF Track 3. Doesn't have anything I'm aware of that I can use as an official title to add into the database.

Excellent piano work as always, Mr. Wingless. Great mood, not too simple, not too complicated. Dare I say better than your Super Metroid Girl/World duo. A

Oh, this waltz is so beautiful. Something about this mix seems a little off, like the sound was muted/dampened just a hair. I don't think it detracts from the mix though; on the contrary, I think it really adds to it. The mood here is fueled by nostalgia, not saddeningly so, but in a "the good times have come and I'm glad I was part of them" sense, and I think this mix is highly appropriate for its setting. It does its job well. When I listen to this, I feel as if I have to slow down and smell the roses; it just wouldn't feel right when listening to this mix to do otherwise.

I thought this was going to be solo piano, but when the orchestra came in, I was pleasantly surprised, as it gives this a even better feel.

The treatment of the melody was really nice. I'd even call it magical, with a tear in my eye. This was the kind of mix that really got me interested in the site in the first place. There is a fine line between movingly sentimental and a bottomless pit of nacho cheese, and this mix has the proportions just right. Very good stuff, possibly my favorite Wingless mix.

My inner small dancing Russian ballerina girl is impressed. GG, Wingless.

I don't think the mix title could feel anymore appropriate. The strings mixed with the perfect piano sound feels perfectly suited for a dance in the moonlight :-) Beautiful piano, and expertly chosen additional instruments only highlight and accentuate the mood.

One of my favorite Wingless peices (and trust me, I love just about every one of them, so that's a high honor!) It's just plain beautiful, I can never grow tired of it :-)
