Didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped (little motions look bigger in tighter spaces), but I animated it like that same portrait. I know animated avatars aren't allowed, but I thought I'd post it. Maybe someone else will want to use it on another site.

This is the icon for the achievement "Little Rocket Man", attainable in Half-Life Episode 2 by carrying a garden gnome throughout the entire game (which does not have an inventory, so you have to actually hold him or keep throwing him in front of yourself the whole time, dropping him whenever you need to e.g. fire your gun), including a very frustrating chapter where you are driving a car (that has no suitable space for the gnome) while chased by an attack helicopter.

The image itself depicts a garden gnome (in orange, with a brown beard) in space (also brown), orbiting what might be a planet (orange, with brown craters).

I know it's totally the most important thing on the site, but it's one of the things ppl like to do. Besides, it's fun to have some fresh options to change to, especially when you wanna request or promote a Halo, Monkey Island, FFX, Machinarium, FF1, Wild Arms or SCHALA remix or project or the game itself or something. It's something the less musically inclined can contribute to ocr with.

This is just too cute not to have. It's a "fuzzy" from Super Mario World. Not the best-known enemy from that game, I know. I'm including mirrors (this is the in-game animation - repeatedly mirroring the sprite) and 2 different zooms. Take your pick. I know the white eyes blend into the white background here, but they should look okay on the grey post headers. I hope. And if not:

Updated my big batch of avatars, now in a single zip titled "ocravatars" (http://r.filesap.com/275m/). All images are gifs and they all stick to the same naming convention (gameabbrev_char.gif). Everything to make things easier (except clearing out the ones already considered, apparently). They're all based on screenshots or official art.

I dunno, I downloaded the ocraavs.zip or whatever from this thread that had the avatars, and the teen agent one was the same... so it seems likely that either it was gotten from there by whoever does avatars, or someone had the same idea. :-P Anyway thanks to whoever made it :-D And the new ones had not been added yet when I turned on my TA avatar. So, only a few more to go and it happened pretty quick.

Been wondering: will the site update allow for people to add their own custom avatars?
Cause in this day and age, such functionality is available on nearly every forum/BBS.
It would be pretty rad to have that option on OCR as well. :)

I agree here. (Plus it's kinda disturbing to find several people having the same avatar.)

Such a feature would ost likely have to go through some sort of human review. Mostly because otherwise, we would see lots of questionable avatar pics.

But aside from that, I wouldn't mind personal ones as well. As it is, I understand, only admin, staff and some project/album people get to have personal ones.
