Welcome! This is the outline of information for Shell Shocked, the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time/Hyperstone Heist arrangement album. This album project is being directed by KyleJCrb.

This album project is intended to arrange the music of the arcade/SNES game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time and the SEGA Genesis game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist in a high-energy rock style. This project is not accepting auditions. You can listen to the music for this game using the SPCs available at SNESMusic.org (http://snesmusic.org/v2/profile.php?profile=set&selected=2978) or the Genesis VGMs available at Project2612 (http://project2612.org/details.php?id=307).

There are some forums set up here (http://www.kngi.org/phpbb3) for all artists who make a claim on a track. To gain access to the private areas, you must have a KNGI forum account and contact Kyle to be granted permission to access the forum.

Due to my absolute love of this game and music, I would give my talent to you... but I'm not a rockin' guitarist. With Sixto, Mutherpluckin' B Luke and the gang down there, though, I feel that this will make me a very happy Turtles fan regardless.

Good luck with this, man. Oh yeah, and don't forget that all of the music for this game is either subtly or not so subtly related to the old TV show (I talked about it in this old thing (http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=23673), post 40), so I expect to hear some homage to the show in this.

He's actually covered TMNT4 before (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9pT3VlTSEE), an amazing metal cover of 'Bury My Shell at Wounded Knee', so I'm definitely glad to have him on board and looking forward to him metaling the hell out of some more music from this game.

I'm sad to see him go as his last DoD entry showed that he'd really improved his production and arrangement skills, so hopefully he can get his computer fixed and show us more of what he's capable of.

You know, I use a mixture of both. I dunno what it is about micing up rhythm guitars but for me they always sound more lively and full. For leads, I use line-in. Depends on what works for you :)

Alright, things are switching around a little bit on the tracklist. First off, Washudoll is switching over to 'Back in the Sewers'. Sadly, GaMetal has been unresponsive for some time do to some copyright issues with his other stage name, so Washudoll is kindly stepping up. If GaMetal does return and we end up with two remixes of it, all the better, because I am always down for double the Turtles goodness!

Second, not content with being a second-string collaborator, the legendary VIKINGGUITAR will be keeping this project METAL by tackling his own full-on arrangement for this project, arranging 'Bury My Shell at Wounded Knee'. I think we can officially proclaim this project to be pretty legit in the metal department now that we have a real-life facemelting viking on it.

You should listen to everything from Ubiktune (especially the SOUNDSHOCK!! series) because it is consistently one of the best chiptune labels on the net right now. Of course I have yet to hear a label that is consistently bad, but that's even more of a testament to just how good Ubiktune releases are.

Right now I'll be brainstorming an arrangement. Time to rip the audio in HD. I love Adobe Audition.

It is a rock project, but rest assured that there will still be a bit of variety within that scope.

Also, I changed the tracklist around a little bit. I moved Try Harder and High Score to a list of non-essential but still welcome source tunes (mostly jingles and really short loops that I left out of the list originally.) If anyone wants to tackle a non-essential source or include it in their existing remix, go for it!

He came on in April after Joshua Morse sadly decided to drop out. I'd been in contact with him not long after I started the project, though, so I'd had him pegged for a long while.

Well, obviously things have slowed down with this project in the last couple months. Unfortunately I ran into a few bumps along the path of life and haven't been dedicating as much time to this as I'd like. There was also a pretty big setback in the loss of two tracks from Do A Barrel Roll, but luckily they will still be contributing a great live arrangement of Technodrome: The Final Shell Shock. In their place, the lovable SnappleMan has picked up Neon Night Riders, as well as cutting a deal with Sixto to take on Star Base (Sixto may still have some involvement with it, but we'll see.) I am very happy to have Snap on board and am looking forward to getting restarted on pushing this project toward completion!

There are now three released tracks from this project floating around out there, and a fourth has been aired on NGI once...

It depends on a number of factors, including how many songs actually get finished by then, how long it takes for the album (when it is completely finished) to get through OCR's album review process, and how many other albums are ahead of this one to be released at the time.

In other words, I have no idea.

After searching for ages trying to find someone to arrange the Sparring Match multiplayer theme, TWO artists grabbed it on the same day! I have already received a pretty well-developed WIP from the legendary JIVEMASTER (whose Sonic remixes right here on OCR were actually my very first introduction to the hobbyist arrangement community!) Now some of you might be asking, "wait, Jivemaster does rock? I thought he was all UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ" And to that I say you shouldn't pigeonhole artists like that, and yes, he most definitely does rock (https://soundcloud.com/neozeed).

As for the other arrangement, it was born out of an idea that's still developing as we speak, spearheaded by Tuberz McGee. Who are THE SHELL SHOCKERS, you ask? Well, you'll have to wait and see. ;-)

Today is a proud day in the history of this project. Originally, Shell Shocked was intended to arrange the music featured in Turtles in Time, released for the arcade and the SNES, as well as Hyperstone Heist for the SEGA Genesis. However, in our continuing efforts to ensure the high quality of this release, we have decided that for this project to be of the absolute highest caliber of an OverClocked ReMix release, it was decided that we must switch our focus.

In 2009, Ubisoft Singapore developed and published Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled. In honor of this outstandingly well-received game and its incredible music (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZX5vCJQNdKs&list=PL2B3ECC74DA68C496), I am proud to announce that Shell Shocked will become Re-Shell Shocked. I am very pleased that we will be moving away from the outdated and, frankly, very lackluster compositions the game originally featured. Re-Shelled has an incredible soundtrack that deserves to be honored more than any other soundtrack in previous Turtles games.

What does this mean for the songs from the old Shell Shocked project? They will no longer be a part of this project, and I ask that remixers do NOT release them. This change will go into effect immediately. A brand new roster of remixers has been recruited and production starts now. I am very excited to get the brand new version of this project rolling and pay proper tribute to the Re-Shelled version of Turtles in Time! Please look forward to it!

Re-Shell Shocked WAS a joke, but if anyone wants to do a remix of a track from TMNT Re-Shelled (the soundtrack really is pretty damn dull, though) I'm willing to throw it in as a bonus track. However, they will have to meet the same quality bar as the rest of the album, and I'm not going to delay anything for them to get done.
