I almost lost this one but Sadorf sent it to me again. Just wondering if anyone thinks this would get a pass from the judges.

This is pretty catchy. I think I would probably go with a borderline 'YES' if I had to vote on it.. pretty nice variations you have going on, solid groove, good production, I like it.

I like this a lot. Go for the submission!

Am I even allowed to comment on this mix in the presence of Rayza and Zircon? I'm a fan of both of those guys, and this is what I would expect from Rayza. Pretty freaking badass. Since I couldn't hope to find anything wrong with this mix, I will say this deserves to reach the ears of the masses on OCR. *bows* well done, sir. My hat's off to you.

Oh, I remember this. I never got around to submitting it. As a matter of fact I still have the source file, however your bounced leads are missing.

This sounds pretty cool, but at the same time it's kindof repetitive, it does it's thing then repeats 3 or 4 times...
I dunno, it could probably go either way.
Yeah, this needs more variation in general. It could use more synthleads to switch between. Also changing the rythm in some places would do, as the song sounds pretty similiar all the way through. Again, this needs more variation in the sounds used. I Think it sounds a bit more like a wip, it's enjoyable, but not there yet.

Ever since I downloaded that song from VG Mix, I've been in love with it. Very powerful stuff.

if I were a judge I won't pass this one. Too close to the original (that's also one of the worst BGMs in Sonic 2, imo), and as already said, too repetitive.
Sorry to be so rude, but I find this remix to be meaningless.

I dig this, I love the way the bass works in this arrangement, and the guitarrish sounding synth that does the melody works really well too. I'm gonna have to follow the bandwagon and say that you probably should put some more variation in, but this is hi qual stuff.

first of all... I also dislike (I'm being nice) this music in sonic. but the remix is cool... if you're considering it as a WIP, meybe you should do some more arrangement, like many people said.
and I don't know if it's just me, but this song had quite an "arabian" touch... mainly in the beggining. it reminded me of belly dance music, until 0:30, when the eletronic stuff begins!
I say "touch" because I think that later it lost this feeling... if you intended to make it that way, I think you've forgot it as your worked went on. If that's not the case, maybe you could arrange it that way! ;)

Hey, on a sidenote, I really like analoq's take on this one which was on the S2 projekt. That one IS synth-goodness. <3

This has been one of my favorite WIPs for a long time, so much so that it's on my iPod now. Glad to hear it brought back!

I second TwinTurbo's comments. This is so hot. Better make it past the judges.
We need more Arabian Electro! (http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF194581-01-02-01.mp3)

I second this wholeheartedly. This has been my absolute favorite wip ever since the very beginning. SUBMIT THIS!
BTW, where did you get the percussion samples starting 1:24. Those are great!

You'd have to ask Gecko about that.. I did the lead synths and a few background synths. It's mostly his work actually. And I wasn't really planning on submitting this, just found it again and wondering what y'all were thinking of it.
Thanks for the comments tho!

Oh, this caught me unprepared. GeckoYamori, I read that name in the song and then realized, HEY, I've seen you before! First on the SuperPlay-forums and then also on the Studio-forums.
Hiii!!! ;P
And about the mix, haven't got much to say; it's not kickass awesome, according to my taste, but in a technical point-of-view it's nothing to complain about at all.

This is the first time I have heard this remix, it's great just like the SonikElektronik remix. Awesome work!!!!!!!

Ive actually had this for a long time, for some reason... I was wondering why I couldn't find it on the site...
I like it, but as quite a few others have else said, it could use a little more variation. Perhaps you could add one of those cool flute things that snake charmers use (known as pungi).
But, yeah, if I was a judge, i'd pass this.

Thank you! Very cool remix ^^. :nicework:
I found the clip in YTMND while searching in Google for: "oil ocean remix" ocremix. I believe this is the link: http://ytmnd.com/sites/profile/224803. Even though he didn't refer the source of sound in the video details he does in the video comments, so that's how I got its name.
Thanks once more! This should be in OCRemix by the way :-D

Thanks man, always like to know where music gets turned up. At least he cited the source, I've seen worse AKA stolen.. Heh.. I don't think this will ever get submitted though, been too long. I have a few things in the works tho.. ;)

I had a listen, and this honestly would have sounded right at home with Hedgehog Heaven. (Although, you have to give it up for analoq's "Oil Spill".
Maybe it's because my headphones have awesome bass, but I like this song. Granted, it is a tad repetitive, and it is a little close to a source, even if it's an Arabian spin off.
Come on, you two did amazing work. Sadorf with "Aquatic Project" (And it's subsequent follow-up, Aquatic Project Edit 2, >.>) from Hedgehog Heaven and GeckoYamori with "Elevator Music" from Project Chaos (Awesome, might I add.) This song is good, but you can spice it up just a little bit. I'm going to have to give you the thumbs down on this one.
