HAHA! Not in my case. I only remix what I "played" (at least most of the time) and I also remix, that nobody wants to hear. Then combine that with the fact that I never really finished a track, and nobody bugs you about your tracks.

I couldn't remember all of the songs for which I have a remix in progress (basically none of which I'll ever finish), but here's stuff I've recently worked on:

Doom2 - Barrels Of Fun (for the Doom2 project)
Tales Of Phantasia - Raising A Curtain (for the Tales project)
Mega Man 4 & 5 & 6 - A medley of the "get weapon" themes from all 3

And here's some stuff I intend to do in the future:

Gradius 3 project - the whole soundtrack in a progressive rock / metal style
Chrono Trigger - World Revolution in an epic symphonic metal style

Blah, I can't think of other stuff worth mentioning.. but I might add some later.

lol, I'd forgotten about that one. Though going back and listening, it's a pretty conservative arrangement, and we'll have to expand it quite a bit.

To be honest, I have a couple other ideas which I would prefer to work on when you have the time to start another collab.

... Well it looked like a cool idea to start with. Even moreso if you could bring your friend pixietricks to do some vocals. That being said, I'm often too ambitious with my projects so shoot any ideas you have as soon as the Tales project is released.

theres kinda learning the program and making an actual arrangement and stuff.

"memerizing" the melody takes 5 minutes.

Capital City of Flowers in the Sky from the game Touhou 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom - Mostly piano, contemplating piano synths only

Going to do:
a song from a Klonoa game, considering Song of Hero from Klonoa Heroes. No clue on what style it'll be in...

Septette for a Dead Princess from the game Touhou 6: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil - Drawing inspiration from Bukki'sTango OC Remix. I want it to be in a similar style but not plagiarizing. If I feel that it is, I'll probably just delete it and start over.

Lunatic Princess from the game Touohu 8: imperishable Night. Slow, driving piano with a bass synth and piano combo for the baseline and mellow drums in the back.

All of my stuff will be done with Rosegarden (www.rosegardenmusic.com/) and my Casio WK-3500 in Gentoo Linux (http://www.gentoo.org) running a realtime kernel. I'm too poor to afford anything else and too lazy to find VSTs, much less get VSTs working, so I'm doing with what I've got. I don't think I'll be approved by the judges but I'm doing it for fun and because I really have nothing better to do, excluding church, robotics and tech support. Besides, I need something other than a crappy desktop screencap to put on my deviantart page. :P

I am not going to school this summer so I will have lots of time then for the first time in almost 2 years. SCHOOL SUCKS!

Audio files. 24 bit audio takes up a fair chunk of HDD space. That also contains all the alternate takes, snapshots, edits and all that. Once I finish a project I consolidate all the audio to only the tracks that I consider to be the final takes. That brings the project size down to about 500mb-1gb.

Then the next question would be, how big's your friggin HD? That one folder would take up almost half my space alone.

I wish I had a powerhouse computer like yours.. -_-

My instrument sample folder is 109GB but my WIP and Complete folders only total ~1.30 GB. I thought that was bad enough.

Well, I can cross a couple of the 'Like to attempt' list. I just finished and submitted "Nightmare on Cemetery Lane", a remix in of the Main Grounds Theme from the Addams family which was in the style of 'Hard to to Starboard' by James Horner. woo hoo.
