View Full Version : What shirt size are you?

djpretzel
09-01-2006, 03:32 AM
If you've already bought an OCR shirt or intend to once they are available again, we need to know what shirt size you are, so we get a good idea of how many of each size to order.

If you've no intention of ever, ever buying an OCR shirt, there's no need to vote, but everybody else who either has a shirt or *may* get one in the future, we need to know your relative girths, pronto.

Anonymous poll, so be honest :D

It depends. I mostly buy L, but sometimes when a manufacturer puts L they really mean M. so they I get XL.

Yes - we're DEFINITELY doing a run of shirts. This poll is to make sure I don't screw it up and end up with a lot of sizes no one wants & conversely running out of the sizes that people DO want. Either way, there shall be shirts and hoodies, and they shall be sold.

Most XL shirts I find get wider, but stay the same length as a L. I hope that's not the case for your shirts, because I really want one that's much longer than your average L, without getting massively wider.

The current trend and style for guys is wearing shirts that fit tightly to accentuate their bodies, if they're cute or decently shaped. So ring me up for a Small.

Medium, as reflected on the poll.

I just thought I'd tell you though, a sweatshirt would be much more appealing to than a shirt. But I'd get a shirt anyway, I suppose.

Just to repeat and accentuate what others said before me on the sweatshirt party.

Where are you drawing the line of "overweight"?

Just wondering

Overweight - Over the optimal weight range suggested to keep your body in optimal health.

BUT - Obese - Overweight to the extent that it interferes with your body's normal functions and causes degradation in health; causes(is a) health risk(s).

Edit:

yeha because over 60% of us are smaller than X-large...[/sarcasm]

... And that's good? It's a health risk. 40% is too much. Any percent is too much. (Trust me: I had my own battle against weight. Still do, to some degree.)

Although many of that 40% are ordering X-large or higher because they simply like larger shirts...

I think the shirt idea is good, but it would also help overclocked selling compilations of mixes in CD, an album of the best 20 tracks of the past year in overclocked choosen by everyone(not only judges). And those albums are sold cheap because they're only intended to get funds for overclocked and pay the costs of the discs.

FiremanJoe
09-01-2006, 07:51 AM
Not sure about the album idea. I'm more inclined to go with a dvd of the torrent, particularly for those who can't dl torrents for whatever reason, or who want an easy way to 'collect the set'. As for selling albums, the project albums would be more likely I think; eg KiC and DSoP (cos they're lossless, cd quality, etc).

Medium shirt for me, but probably a large hoodie. (I'm really glad these changes are happening; I've wanted to get some OCR merch for ages, but have heard alot about the pitfalls of the current store setup.)

BTW, I suppose the money order I sent in January to the ZTNet reliable dude is lost forever then... That is really disapointing. The dude sent me only one reply in February, saying that I sent the wrong part of the money order. I sent the right one after that and SHAZAAAM, our hero has not been able to respond a single e-mail in 7 whole months. I know he faced some real-life drama of some sort but 7 months? Damn, that's too bad. That money order + service fee + currency change cost me close to 35-40$ in canadianish dollar. Anyway, I'm really happy that you changed your merchandising service. I'm buying a second hoodie, so I can have a giant one. The first one I bought actually fits correctly, but in the 80s, ET hoodie kind of way, and I want something more like the Def Jam: Fight for New York urban Star Wars Emporer look.

I'll be getting a T-shirt too, so that'll be a large T-shirt and an XL hoodie, though recently my girlfriend has been able to squeeze me into a medium polo shirt. Hmm.

Same print is also used on the shirts, which were available in white originally, and later also in black:

http://www.megaman.net/pics/1420.jpg

So basically the headphones + SNES pad logo and OCR title on front, OCR title and URL on the back. Print on black shirt and hoodie in white, on the white shirt in dark blue.

Pictures aren't too recent and most likely do not represent the upcoming stuff too well.

Also, there was a baseball jersey(White/Dark Blue) available, but I don't have it.

Have there ever been OCR polo shirts? I'd be interested in one of those.

Like this one here (this is from another music community I found like three days ago. It's geared more towards hi-fi personal gear as opposed to music itself):

The slugger one is nice too.

Some of the ladies' stuff is nice, but I don't know if we have enough lady members to warrant making those.

Just some ideas that I think would be nice to consider... not trying to promote another community or anything, simply trying to show some possible apparel options.

Actually I'll go with the medium size. Although it'll be a good idea to stock atleast half (if not more) the number of medium sizes as small sizes. eg.having a stock of 1000 med and 500 small will be safe since many people with good physiques may purchase both; medium for comfortability and small for showing of the contours of both ocremix and the body (nice n tight)!

This is true. I often wear both medium and small.

I don't know what size of hoodie I would get, though I'm guessing a meduim. Just seems like many people wear hoodies that are two sizes too big for them. It's just stupid. Maybe it's just the whole "gangsta" thing that I've never understood. I feel that your clothes should fit you, not hide you.

I likes me a large... although the first one I got was kind of shoddy. The bottom was haphazardly cut as if with a pair of scissors. Not very cool. I should hope for better quality if I decide to get another.

I'm placing the following order based on the poll:

350 black
100 Medium
100 Large
75 XL
30 Small
25 XXL
10 Babydoll
10 3XL
100 white
30 Medium
30 Large
20 XL
10 Small
5 XXL
5 Babydoll
50 hoodies
20 Large
20 XL
5 Medium
5 XXL

Hoodies were previously $30.00 and will now be $26.99
T-shirts were previously $15.00 and will now be $12.99.

Both of those figures are pre-shipping, but are pretty dern good, relatively speaking. Shipping & handling, including internationally, should be competitive with other stores.

Once the order is placed, it should take ~2 weeks to get the shirts; I need to check with eStarland, but they *should* be able to sell the shirts soon afterwards.

If the specific shirt/size combo you wanted isn't included in the order I'm placing, don't worry toooo much. After we get things worked out in terms of online sales and see how this initial batch sells, we'll likely do another order to accomodate any inaccuracies. We do have to order at least 144 at a time, otherwise the price per item goes way up, so at that point we'd probably run another poll, similar to this one.

I'll keep everyone posted - thanks for quick feedback with this poll.

Once shirts are available, I'm sure a mass e-mail will be sent in order to let everyone know that they're available. You'll all be made aware as soon as possible.

Because I'm in direct control of inventory, if and when a given size sells out, I'll do my best to restock. The only caveat to that is that I need to place orders of 144, so if a less popular size ends up being more popular than we thought, there might be a delay to wait for some other size/color combo to sell out as well. However, the delay will be nowhere near as long as what's happened in the past, I promise.

As for updates - one, I'm considering putting news items on the homepage (in addition to their being alluded to in mix writeups) and two, we're working on a mailing list for OCR as well, which could include notifications of that ilk.

We moved the old store out of the office, back to my basement. (A long time coming). Searched through a lot of things, and found a few money orders, so anyone who had money orders should have had their shirts ship.

Also, there were a couple of recently pending orders, that also got shipped, but the shirts have been pulled for sale, as DJP is feverioushly getting the new digs setup.

In any case, if anyone reading this says 'hey, I sent a money order too' and hasn't recieved a shirt, it is very likely the money order DID NOT make it to us. If you sent a check, it would have been voided/destroyed (if the shirt didn't ship). If you used a CC, the transaction should have been cancelled.

IF you paid via CC and know we took your money, please go ahead and e-mail store@ztnet.com and give as much information (order number, preferably, if not that, name, address, and approximate order date). We can look to confirm we took money and didn't ship, and try to get you settled. If this happens after DJP is shipping shirts, I will try to arrange with him to get you a shirt.

Regardless, any outstanding issues where you know money was actually taken, contact store@ztnet.com and we'll do our best to get you squared away.

I don't have money or desire to purchase a shirt but in general this site has dudes in their teens on it with disposable income and the thing with dudes nowadays is small form fitting shirts to emphasize or create any sort of body definition so small is definitely the main thing to do

Shirts have been printed; I'll be picking them up tomorrow night, dropping them off at eStarland HQ Thursday night, hopefully they'll be available this weekend, if all goes well.

:D

I'm locking this thread as it's no longer urgent that we get size/distribution information; we'll base future restock orders on how well this initial batch sells.

Thanks for all the info; there'll be a brand new thread created when the shirts are available for sale.
