Official OverClocked ReMix shirts and hoodies are once again available and are now shipping from eStarland (www.estarland.com (http://www.estarland.com)), an online retailer of domestic and imported games as well as anime, that happens to be headquartered ten minutes away from my home.
Without further adieu, the link to buy OCR shirts & hoodies online is:
http://www.estarland.com/showban.asp?action=redir&campaign=163
Profits from each sale go towards supporting hosting costs and printing more shirts when we run out - it's a great way of supporting the site and lookin' fantastic while doing it.
Note that sometimes due to caching the link above may need to be refreshed or clicked twice to get results to appear. Also, eStarland are currently troubleshooting some problems related to the overall speed of their website, so have patience - things may take a few seconds to load.
International shipping is provided. When ordering using a credit card, if your shipping address is different from your billing address, there's a verification process that will delay your order, so try to avoid that if possible.
For those curious, I've been a customer of Starland since 1996, back before they had a fully-developed website, when I would rent anime and buy import games from their over-the-counter store in Annandale, Virginia. Back then I'd talk to Chris, the owner, every once in awhile, and I always thought it was cool how the owner of the store was into games and anime as well. He's actually really into old-school 8-bit and 16-bit games in particular, which tends to jive well with what OverClocked ReMix is all about.
When we left ZTNET, I needed a new way to print and sell shirts & hoodies. Larry did some research and came up with http://www.fairfaxscreenprinting.com, and that worked out very well in terms of both quality and proximity to where I live, but I still needed a way to sell & ship the shirts via an ecommerce frontend. Handling domestic and international shipping out of my living room didn't sound like a great idea, and then it struck me that Starland - specifically their web presence, eStarland.com - would be a perfect partner in this regard. I met with Chris and we both agreed it made a lot of sense, and things fell into place.
It might take awhile to iron out all aspects of the process, but I believe this partnership and new method of selling OCR merchandise will work out well. If you're buying a shirt or hoodie, take the time to check out what else they have to offer - I bought Sonic Rush for my DS a couple weeks ago and the price and shipping were both solid.
If you have questions or comments specific to an order you've placed or payment/shipping details, please contact eStarland via their website. If you have questions or comments that have to do with the merchandise or other topics not directly related to eStarland's end of things, please ask them here.
Thanks for supporting OverClocked ReMix and eStarland!

Is it just me or do they only accept payment through "american express"? Why don't they accept VISA or anything else? I wouldn't be caught dead with a card called "american express"
Seems a bit monopolised to me. If that's the way it is, then I'm quite disappointed that I won't be able to get a shirt.

They take money orders.
That's how I'll get mine.

Don't they take money orders?
I thought they did.
How would that work? I've never ordered anything online, much less through this particular site.
They appear to have:
Use credit card below
Credit card type: (Drop menu consisting of only one option "american express")
or
Pay through PayPal
My message to eStarland:
I just bought a hoodie with my VISA card. Your internet is broken.

Directly from the site:
What if I want to pay by check or money order?
If you would like to pay by check or money order, select the option when you are checking out. You will then be prompted to print out a copy of your order sheet. If you cannot print out your order sheet, please send your payment with your name, address, phone number, e-mail, and order number. After you have done this, please enclose this information with a check or money order for your total amount made out to Starland. Then please send these items to
eStarland
ATTN: Order Processing Dept.
3150 Spring St Suite B
Fairfax, VA 22031
Please note that because you must send us your payment, check and money order transactions take slightly longer to process. Checks may require up to two weeks because they must be held until they clear.
I've done this with other sites a couple times before.
The site seems trustworthy.

I think it's an international shipping thing, though as Vig said in IRC, it "seems a little counterintuitive that it would require foreigners to pay with american express."
I might have to do the money order thing then, but I'd like to know why VISA and mastercard and such aren't available as an option for overseas shipping.

My XL Nintendo hoodie is a tad small on me, so hopefully XXL will be good.
I may buy a white t-shirt, too. Could always use some more of those.

My five star playlist on my iPod has no less than 40 OCR tracks on it, and many more on my four star list that have been demoted simply because I've listened to them so much. I've downloaded every single mix off the site. A hoodie is the least I can do. Thanks to everyone who contributes to OCR and makes it awesome.

I'd like to know why VISA and mastercard and such aren't available as an option for overseas shipping.
Well if you really want to know...
The chances of fraud is much higher on overseas transactions (not to mention that the higher shipping cost makes overseas fraud much more expensive). American Express has much better fraud prevention/protection and a much larger worldwide presence than Visa, Mastercard, etc, so if it's much safer for merchants to accept it for overseas orders.
And as ironic as it is that the card named "American" is the one they accept overseas, it's more ironic that it's the most popular card in the world but not in the United States. (Well, depending how you measure it.)

I bought a hoodie! Glad I can help support the VG music scene. I live in Australia and purchased via Paypal. I saw that it only had American Express credit card payments for International, but below the credit card option, you can select Paypal.
btw, Amex does not have a larger worldwide presence than VISA/Mastercard. When I went back to the States last year, it certainly wasn't as common as Visa/MC (I don't have an Amex card though, I was just observing). Here in Australia it's pretty difficult as well, and if the shop has a surcharge, it's almost always double that of Visa/Mastercard.

It's kind of aggravating that you can't figure out exactly what the dimensions of the shirt are. It would be really nice if all ppls could stick to a standard for shirt sizes.
I'm placing my bets on Medium, since thats what I've had my best luck with, however every now and then I get mediums that end up being way too small.
(Luckily the VGDJ shirts aren't as big of an issue as cafepress has all the dimensions listed)

Yes I was bothered about that too. What's considered "medium" or "average" in America is likely somewhat larger than it is in Europe too. lolomg. But yeah I'd op for medium in most cases because it's the happy.. err, medium.
Being around 164-168lbs I presume a medium would be my deal, though it's a moot point now since they're sold out apparently. That makes me want to go dropkick an orphan.

I'll work on getting dimensions + info on preshrunk, etc. added to the item descriptions; not sure if I have that info myself, but the printer should be able to provide it.
As for restocking the medium hoodies and ordering some smalls, I need to wait until most of the cost of the initial order is recouped before placing another order, as right now OCR is VERY low on $$$.

Yes, I already have a large, but it's snug, and not because I am kind of a fat man; I like to swim in my hoodies.
I was particularly looking forward to a new OCR hoody now that I'm playing gigs with some regularlity. Until such time as I can order an XXL, I shall continue to rep' the red sweater-vest, as I fancy myself something of a highschool chorus director.

Drat. The temperature is going back up. I've only been able to wear my hoodie a couple times early in the morning.
Well, I look forward to cooler weather.
XXL seemed a bit small, but it's not a bad fit. I'm just the kind of person who prefers loose sleeves, rather than the kind that clamps around your wrist. Well, I'll see what I can do about that. If intense daily stretching doesn't work, maybe I'll tear/cut it a little. My hands need blood flow, after all. How am I supposed to play video games like this?
Otherwise, very cool. I am satisfied.

I'd have to speak with Chris about actually stocking them in the store - I honestly don't know if he's put any there, or is willing to. One other option would just be picking one up at Magfest in January - we're going to have a dealer's booth. If neither of those work, PM me and we'll work something else out.

But seriously, the hoodies need to be back in stock. I am currently in the market for a hoodie, and one of these would be very very nice. Its the least i can do after using up all of DJP's bandwith for the last 5 or so years.
To the people who have an XL hoodie: I am around 6ft and 170-180 lbs, would an XL fit me or do i need to go for a XXL?
i'm about the same and i have an L and it fits me just fine

I, too, am waiting patiently for them to come back in stock. My mother promised me an OCR hoodie as a late Christmas gift as soon as they restock.

Huzzah! I shall purchase a hoodie!
bleh, i might order a white xl logo shirt, but i'd rather wait until XL hoodies are in stock. I'll probably miss it next time too, could someone PM me when hoodies are back in stock? it would be much appreciated.

So I've looked at the eStarland website and this thread, but I'm not seeing any measurements for the T-shirt sizes. I generally end up buying either medium or large, but obviously I don't have any way of comparing the sizes of these shirts with T-shirts that I already own.
Anyway, if someone who has a medium or large T-shirt (or DJP) could take two measurements for me, it would be much appreciated, as I really would like to buy a couple of these T-shirts. Two measurements will be enough - just lay the shirt flat and get me the measurement from the top of the collar to the very bottom of the shirt, and the length from armpit to armpit. I don't particularly mind if you can only give me measurements in inches, either imperial or metric is fine.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can supply me with this information.

I bought a black medium t-shirt a few weeks ago. Measurements are 29 inches in length and 19 inches armpit to armpit.
I am 6'0 and 160 lbs, with a lean and muscular build. The medium size is just about right, if slightly loose (although my personal preference leans towards tighter shirt sizes). But the arms are way way too roomy -- 9.5 inches at the shoulders and 7.5 inches at the outer cuff. I'd also prefer a shorter length, maybe 27 inches instead of 29.
I love the front design, totally badass. But I'm not fond of the logo redux on the back side and especially not the http address. A bit tacky in my opinion, but I'm sure I'm the only guy on this board with such finicky tshirt tastes.

Weird coincidence.
I was out at a restaurant just now, and someone commented on my OCR hoodie. He's the first person to say something other than "what's that?" I get back home and the t-shirt thread has been posted in. After what, like 9 months?
Not that anybody cares. It just flipped me out.

Ah, old thread. I looked for it and figured that it was old the first time. Ha, cool.
