Half-life needs some remixes, I know the music isn't exactly easy to find, but I have obtained it from a legitimate copy of the game, I also have episode one music. If any valve officials have a problem with this, I will not release the music. You can contact me if you want the music for your remixing.

It's not that the music is difficult to find, it's that it's difficult to remix. Most of it is mainly atmospheric noise, and none of it is particularily melodical...

well, I am working on a HL2 mod, making hl2 remixes and remakes...
red letter day remake...maybe a wip...opinions?

I have made many more, including some hl2ep1 remixes, and the lost coast song remake (extended and has percussion) so no need to worry for I'll have all the songs submitted when they are finished


and Dafydd, you'll be amazed how every song has notes, even the atmospheric pads and sfx

You're both half right, I guess. Without the deep textures and filters, there really wouldn't be much there. Yes there are indeed notes, but the melodies are so incredibly simple that there's almost nothing to build off of. Most of the soundtrack for HL2 is a few notes repeating over and over again, with [good] processing/filtering/effects for progression.

I've been thinking about doing a lot of remixes for games that are under-appreciated on this site, so I guess HL2 falls into that category, so i suppose I'll be making a remix for HL2 then! I guess I don't know if it will be accepted, but I'll try...

yea, I've got a bunch already made, but so far I only posted 2...a kliner's lab remix, and Forgotten Till The End, a remix of hl2 track 19, the lost coast VLVX_3, and hl2 track 32 (plus original melodies as well) posted in the OCremix forum area
