I'm still here and I finished the arrangement ages ago but I decided I wasn't happy with it and have put it to one side until I can get to rework some parts. I did a quick render with subpar samples just as a demo for the guitar recording but that is redundant as the arrangement is changing. I don't recall any previous efforts to contact me.

I'll post the latest version some time in the next few weeks.

and with that (and the 3.5 gigs of samplefusion i dl'd yesterday morning) i want to do another mix. gimme a source tune that is something that i'll be able to work with, and we'll see what comes out. i prefer simple tunes that are melodically driven and that i can play with the chords a bit.

The WIPs are attached to the boards, so you need to go to the forum. There's a link on page 1. The co-ordinators got annoyed at new members trying to nudge their way in and I think you need approval to see them now, so I can't garauntee you'll be able to get in.

As I said before, it doesn't matter how enthusiastic everyone is, how much you'd like to help or whatever. Leaking songs is what makes the project LESS of a surprise to you, and less of a treat. Therefore it's in YOUR best interests that we're not letting you hear a note. I hope you'll understand and stop asking, I've seen your name pop up before asking to hear stuff :p. Sorry.

I don't think you quite grasp the concept of an album project. You don't get to listen to "WIPs" from official albums, so why should you hear from us. Anything people heard when we made that forum public was a privalige, which we've taken away because it was getting annoying.

We've all put lots of hard work into this, and for some random guy to appear, ignore our warnings and then say he wont hesitate to say everything thats wrong with it is the PERFECT way to appreciate all our hard work.

Bottom line: Feel free to download the album when its out, and feel free to leave comments about what you like or don't like, but comments like the ones above, and ignoring everything we say is not the way to support a FREE, VOULENTARY ReMix album. We don't dedicate our free time to hearing crap for our efforts.

that's a good point, i never considered the card game (which is a really fun game, actually, i got pretty good at it before i re-discovered side-scrollers) but we don't have any mixes from it.

djdarkmaster...please just go away. i really, really don't care who you are or what you 'offer' to the project, and i'll just block your damn IP if you keep trying to re-register. i generally block the IP of people who try to register anyways. so just go away and maybe i won't block your ip from the mirror sites eventually, also.

this project is'nt just for you, and as such your input doesn't matter. if you want to do a track and live up to your retarded dj name, then go ahead - i'm not going to blcok you just cause you're stupid. if your track gets accepted to the project, obviously you'll be allowed onto the forums. till then, go away. we're going to get like 50k downloads of all the songs as soon as we release them on some of the pkmn sites on teh intarweb anyways, so one person who's pissed and doesn't get them doesn't really matter in anyones perspective anyways.

Yeah, it's just the core Gameboy RPGs. If there was to be a giant, all-encompassing remix of any Pokémon game music, the tracklist would pretty much double.

As much as I liked the idea of having it out for the 22nd, that is becoming more and more unlikely. Unless we can get the artwork and website done in the next few weeks (Poinko, I'm looking at you. And our web designer guy(s)... you too), there's going to be too much to do for that day.

I'd love to make, so I'm going to push for it. But don't get too hopeful for it. Either it's the 22nd, or a shortly after it. We'll get it out, that's certain. I just hope that if it has to get pushed back until after April 22nd, no one ends up playing Diamond/Pearl so much that they stop work on the project altogether!

(Note to all project members, check the project board Announcements Section for some things we need to work on. This is a long weekend coming up, so let's try to sort out what needs to be done, and who needs to do what)

I haven't been here from the beginning, but I just wanted to pop and say that you're doing a great job and should keep on doing it. Pokemon is one of my favorite games of all time, so when finally there's a whole project dedicated for the music from it, I'm just thrilled about it.

Every single time you post in this thread, you do nothing but piss me off. How is trying to put a negative tint on the very little that is public at the forum constructive in any way? You have no idea whats actually going on, and we are making progress. We have several finished recently tracks, several that are almost done/need tweaking.

If you really don't want to see it die, then try being supportive (and not in a "let me hear your songs, i'll criticise" way like you've tried before) instead of putting sarcy stupid comments like *yawns* in this thread. You've not, and haven't been helping whatsoever.

Because it's a closed forum. You have to be a member of the project to see what's going on. And all the members can see that there's several songs finished and locked, and more on the way. And they can also see what our artist has whipped up for it.

And guess what?

You aren't part of the project. That's why you don't see anything.

Also, a new Pokémon game came out. Do you really think that people that like Pokémon enough to volunteer their free time to remixing its music wouldn't play it when it came out? Come on!

The judges here thought highly enough of Fishy's piece to make it an official ocremix. That alone should tell you what kind of quality to expect.

As perhaps a form of encouragement, particularly after negative remarks have been made, I just wanted to say that I for one and really really really excited about this project and the progress it has made, and cannot wait for the official release of the album.

I've been lurking for months and months, and years ago when I first found this site wondered why there was no Pokemon music. I'm excited that there finally will be, and soon at that.

I've been to the project board and listened to what was available for lurkers. The clip from Fishy's Gym Leader Battle rework is amazing. I have it saved and listen to those 45 seconds or so on occasion. It's great and I can't wait for the rest of the track.

Keep up all the good work and hard work and whatever other work is being done, and I really look forward to the release. I'm sure there are tons of other lurkers like myself who just haven't bothered to register, and I personally can't wait to spread your album around the internet and get it as many downloads as possible.

Hey y'all, I'm sure some of you have probably already heard about this project but I thought I'd randomly throw it in there anyway...

Right now the guys over at www.PokemonOnline.org are working on their own original Pokemon MMORPG and they could use help in remixing music for it. The game will encompass all the Gameboy games from Red/Blue up until the more recent ones like Diamond, Perl, etc. Since you are already working on this fine, fine project, wouldn't it be nice if you allowed them to use some/all of the final product? Be rest assured, though, that this MMO is always going to remain free (by will of the creators) so you don't have to worry about someone making profit off of your work. The only rub I see right now is that they want the remixed tracks to be in "Module Format" but if you could pull that off it'd be golden!

We had another site try this, and even when I very politely turned them down, the owner flipped out and gave us shit for being all elitist and snobs.

I'm not going to let these remixers and all their effort be sucked up by some random people because

a) they can't do any music themselves,
b) are too lazy to do it themselves,
c) they think that just because someone else is doing it right now, they can get them to just supply it for free.

More accurately, you have no time at all. Submissions ended months ago. There were several cut-offs. People have been dropped from this project due to inactivity. Those left have worked on and even completed their remixes. Some of us are working on the non-remix parts of the project, like artwork and site design.

You, and everyone else on this site, had well over a year to sign up and submit a sample of your work. I'm sorry, but it's simply too late now. It may seem unfair, but this project has had it's slow periods, and waiting for more remixes to get going and be finished could stall it even more.
