You named Proph's ReMix Viridian Vibe: Another Day (that's kinda double right?)
Fishy's Gym Battle ReMix is "Battle for the Badge". Game On is another ReMix.
Clash of the Titans is a ReMix of the Champion's Battle theme, that's not the Elite Four music.
You called Gslicer and Another Soundscape's ReMix Casion Lounge instead of Casino Lounge (small typo).

And I believe DA and I agreed to the title "Brand New Day", but I'll have to check with DA on that.

I had originally been thinking about Brand New Day for the Rt 10 theme, it fights well with the 'anime opening' lyrics and such. Besides, Proph, Viridian Vibe is such a cooler, aliterated, name.

Also, Sweet Olivine is the best thing we've come up with, which works fine for me.

I used to lurk in unmod quite a bit, but I've never been one to post much on these forums. If the thread in question is older than mid-2004, though, no chance. I used to love the unique fad threads and all the "random advice" or "talk about your day today" threads. Everyone seems to remember "...and it made me smile" better than I do, though.

On topic though... about how complete is this project? With the DOOM2 project being rushed a bit at the last minute, it's likely to be next. Haha, I remember when I though Summoning of Spirits was going to be a 2007 release...

For the tracks announced, I just read the first post (which was obviously recently updated if I'm right) and got info off there. For the lack of cohesion part, if you communicate with each other fairly often through the project forums, you wouldn't be asking on here how everybody's getting on with their tracks and stuff.

For being relatively new around here, it's amazing what you can (and in the case of earlier, can't) pick up just by being around and lurking. Anyway, I'm all right with waiting if it's going to be done properly. Perfection can't be rushed and all that jazz.

I had a quick look at the website and wanted to mention that I didn't like this post: i do'nt want to use flac because no one's got the stupid program. one of the keys to soundtrack download is making sure that it's in a file format that is easy to use. even if we link to the flac site, it's still another step that'll turn off people.

I can tell the difference between 160kbps CBR and lossless. After putting so much effort into a track, there's no reason to muffle it; it doesn't do it any justice. So if there's any indecision as to whether or not to include FLAC, there's my two bits.

I can't see how it would turn people off if they had a choice between MP3 and FLAC. It's just a few extra boxes to tick and untick in bittorrent.

Radiohead got away with the 160kbps In Rainbows because a physical release was to be expected. :P When you're supplying virtually the only copy, I just think it's a good idea to sacrifice saving a couple dozen megabytes for better quality tracks that will ultimately be more enjoyable

Also for those who are concerned about saving space, it would be valuable to learn to convert hi-fi audio to the format of your choice. That way, the musicians can present hi-fi music, audiophiles can get their cleaner tracks, and the casual listeners can have their efficient MP3's.

It still needs quite some work. I wouldn't expect it in the next 6 months

Actually, the biggest hold up now is the website and artwork. And cobaltstarfire is taking care of the artwork as we speak... So that leave about a half dozen remixes to be finished off and someone to design the page.

If we push it, we can be out for April-ish. But that would require being down by March-ish, leaving one month to set up said page, upload the album as needed, and wait for a spot in the album release schedule to open up.

So everyone that has a remix in Private or Public WIPs, get on it, you have four months. And again, we need someone to design the webpage. I've had people offer and then disappear when I contacted them, so I need someone that will actually stick around.

Wow, i just found this by accident when looking for pokemon remixes. Im a wee bit late to even attempt a remix. But i was wondering, does Poinko have the artwork done and dusted already? As soon as i saw this thread, i had a few ideas i could pitch, maybe some sketches... that is if the designs havent been finalised yet, which id imagine they are.

from my understanding most of the tracks are finished...we're just waiting on artwork and a release date since there seems to be a waiting list....

OK, no offense to anyone, but who decided to just let people join randomly? I hadn't even been been gone one day, and suddenly we have a new artist?

Yes, Pixel has some nice stuff, but that didn't mean people should have just given him an account without asking me first. This may come off as something snooty and bossy, but last I heard, I was the one running the project. Please, in the future, ask me first.

Now, Pixel is already on the project boards, so I'm going to tell him now that he can not download everything done to date and start giving it out. Also, I'm not really interested in pixel art, but your pokéball LP player is more like what I'm looking for.

cobaltstarfire has taken over the artwork department. He's put out some great coloring of Poinko's art, and he's done with school for now, so he can concentrate on more artwork for now. I would suggest that any artwork matters go through myself first, and collaborate with cobaltstarfire as well. I know people want to do stuff and that's nice, but just going off on your own isn't a good use of the talent pool we have.

OK, Pixel, please PM me here so we can discuss things more. GAG, next time, please wait to hear from me first instead of personally inviting someone on your own.

As for remixes, I decided to stop taking any more submissions now. People have joined and done nothing, and there are still lots of WIPs to finish. I'll update the FAQ to relate this.

Sorry if this came off the wrong way, but some of us made decisions that weren't theirs to make. It's happened and it's over, but please don't do that again. It undermines the whole point of having a project director.
