Ok...apparently I've just become a local sex icon, and girls are revealing their urge to do me more and more lately. So...what I need is a mix cd/playlist of good songs to play for this kind of thing. The ones I have already:

Herb Alpert - Rise
Filter - Take a Picture (believe it or not, this song is great for it)

I need an entire CD or so of this kind of music. Stuff that is kind of ambient but is still solid rhythmically, like the examples I put out. Preferrably instrumental.

So...any ideas? Thanks everyone in advance.

Heh, someone posted this kind of thread like a year or so back

Yeah I remember that, I think it was some 16 year old kid.

He was thirteen.

As for the "The Music of my Groin" suggestions...I won't need the song, I'll already be making it. Same with the Porno Mix one.

NIN suggestion - Haha, nice. But no, obviously.

Timechill - It's a little too...porn-grooveish but I'll put it on the end of the CD anyway. Thanks.

Morrison Poe and Cindy Gomez ones - couldn't find them, sorry.

Styx - Not quite what I'm looking for. But it reminds me of Ayreon. Which is a good thing.

Massive Attack - Yea, this is what I'm looking for, for the most part.

Royksopp - If this had a drum track earlier on, it'd be exactly what I'm looking for. I like it though.

portishead - I looked at "Humming", "Blow Out" and "Linger". ...It's not quite what I'm looking for. Sorry.

Alright, keep the suggestions coming please!

Anything by e-rotic like Do It All Night, Oh, Nick, Please Not so Quick, or Test My Best from DDR. If not that, then go for that song from Capcom vs. SNK 2 that goes like "This is true love we're makin'... THIS IS TRUE LOVE WE'RE MAKIN'! THIS IS TRUE LOVE WE'RE MAKIN'!"

As for the previous topic about the similar thing, I think he was looking for songs that were good for cuddling, not necessarily "love making."

"Submerge" (I believe that is the name) by Maxwell.

Hell, almost anything by Maxwell is good to make love to.

BTW, I've also made love to "Funky Ride" by Outkast, believe it or not. It is very relaxing, especially when it get to the part with the electric guitar playing in the background.

Sounds like you want downtempo/trip-hoppy stuff. In that vein I'd suggest (group names, not songs) Lemon Jelly, Air, Morcheeba, Beth Orton, Björk, Zero 7, Thievery Corporation, Nightmares on Wax, Lamb, etc., along with the already mentioned Röyksopp and Portishead.

BTW, if you really want to turn some girl on with music, find out what she likes, not what you think ideal "lovemaking songs" are.

Alright...

Beneath the surface - awesome, this is going on.

Paffendorf - Haha...not quite.

Submerge - The intro isn't quite it...but as the song oom, you know?
gets into it, it's alright. Thanks.

Funky Ride - Yeaaaaa, this is good. Jazzy, lush, big sound. Thank you.

Nightmare On Wax, Theivery Corporation, Lemon Jelly - Not quite what I'm looking for, though this is the kind of stuff I'd listen to. (Edit: exception for Lemon Jelly's "Red Dust". That'll work for this CD. The beginning reminds me of "Tinman - By America". Like, its very close. Thank you.)

Yea...and thanks Mustin...

And Leah: I know what you mean...your way would work better if I had a girlfriend. I'm going on the idea of just getting big, warm sound in the room.

Another example of what I'm looking for:
Dave Matthews' Band - Satellite.

Basically, Friend, if you can hear your music over the noise SHE'S making, then you're not doing a good enuf job anyway. Unless you're married..., then you need something upbeat to keep you awake. You'll know you did a good job when you can't hear the music because of her, and when you're done, she'll go right to sleep...

Not all girls are the same, and not all like making noise. I've had a couple that are really loud and a couple that make no noise at all.

And the point is not to hear the music but to feel it. I don't know about you, but if the song had a big enough sound (NOT loud, big and loud are different), you'll feel the song on your ears, not hear it, and it'll enhance the experience. That's just what I've noticed.

Here's my sex mix, take what you like:

1. Theme From 2001
2. Scatman
3. Raffi's Bananaphone,
4. Pac-Man theme song techno remix
5. Ace of Base "I Saw the Sign"
6. The Birthday Song

The rest of the CD is children's choir music and Kidz Bop selections. Great for sex.

What's with "Scatman" having pornographic connotations everywhere I look?

"Scat" is also a synonym for "shit". Hence my rather brilliant name for a BEERmix I submitted, many aeons ago when BEER was running: "chocobo scat". Being that it was both random improvized vocal bits (scat), as well as a huge pile of crap (scat).

Also, my favorite would have to be this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4%2733%22) ;P.

Even though I personally haven't listen to Enigma for the sexual implications, it definitely does have that sentiment as I've been told from several people.

If you don't have a track list in mind, might I suggest:

The Screen Behind the Mirror
"Smell of Desire"
"Gravity of Love"
"Silence Must Be Heard"

Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!
"Shadows In Silence"
"Beyond the Invisible"

Voyageur
"Page of Cups"
"Weightless"

Heh... it's almost too perfect.

Most of Vig's stuff is good for it - might I also suggest Beneath the Surface? It's nice and mellow, if you're not in the mood for ram-bam-thank-you-ma'am sex.

Also, given that I'm slowly building up a playlist for just this purpose, I don't think it's an odd request at all - women have better hearing than we males (and better appreciation for what they hear than we do!) so with good music, good sex becomes great sex.

That's exactly what I was referring to, actually. The OneUps arrangement of Aquatic Ambience from The OneUps Vol. 1 is great stuff, too. For suggestions still in the vg/OCR realm, go with some soft piano music, like all of kLuTz's songs. I also enjoy Tomorrow's Wake by Rexy for doing the deed. For outside the vgm community, my girlfriend owns a CD of spiritual Native American songs. Very soft and relaxing.

I'm in total agreement with you. My girlfriend and I don't get to use music too often, but I think it absolutly enhances the experience.

Hi Chavous

I am in the process of making such a CD as you describe. It is a compilation CD of music I have chosen myself.

I tend to stay away from music with lyrics as they complicate matters. I like to use jazz and some rock, but not hard rock.

At the moment the compilation CD I am doing featured music by: Jimmy Smith, George Benson ; (Jazz instrumental) ; Sade (6 tracks) Miles Davis (4 tracks); John Coltrane and finish with an instrumental by Jow Pass.

I tend to stay away from singers like Barry white, although many people find him good, because he has been overdone when it comes to this type of thing.

Isley

Hope this helps.

It's certainly an interesting topic to see on the front page though. Made me laugh a bit. Personally I'm an asshole, I like waiting till I hear the neighbors start up then blasting the worst music possible.

Nothing can cockblock like blasting some Daler Mehndi (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bAN7Ts0xBo) at max volume.
