Might be early in some parts of the world, so recount how drunk did you get e.t.c. I had lots of fun with friends. 1/5 Sydneysiders turned up, 1 million people >.>

I'm going to watch fireworks over at Ala Moana Beach Park. I'm tired of burning fingers and blowing up hands...

I'm going to be watching movies with family and eating fun snacks. Probably play some Wii. Chillin' mostly.
Tomorrow I will be having some mates over and I'm sure we'll make some sort of movie.

Tonight we are finally celebrating my birthday (two days late, but better then never, eh?). We have reservations with some friends at Rooster's (http://www.roostersbrewingco.com/layton/main.html) in Layton. Then it's off to do the cake and gifts thang (keeping my fingers crossed for that DS).

Spent the night at a friend's apartment overlooking the city. View wasn't as good as being in the thick of the crowd in front of the Harbour Bridge, but it was nice nevertheless. Pulled off an all nighter and I probably won't get around to sleeping for another half day or so.

I registered on the forums finally! :p
Also started to organize some music on my computer. Holidays are no fun while you're under the weather.

A few friends came over; we played Twister and Rape Me (a wrestling game; the goal is to pin your opponent's pelvis down XD )
One of my friends is into new age stuff, so there were tarot readings all round; she also insisted on giving me fashion advice and painting my fingernails... =/
Played a few games; bit of SSBM & FZero GX.
Great fun, especially considering I usually sit at home on my pc, at OCR or something. =P

I went to a party that some people my friend works with. Then my buddy got partied a lil too much, so I spent the rest of the night watching over him before it was cool.
There were some cool people there though, and I got plenty to stuff to make fun of my friend for now...whahaha

Instead of watching Mercer Island exploding, I opted to watch the Prairie Home Companion New Year's Eve Special on TV instead.
It was pretty good.

Went to my supervisor's mother's house for New Year's eve. Spent the night watching NHK New Year special where they just play tons of music from various singers in Japan. Then we went to bed cause we were tired. Oh yeah, and had lots of sashimi, sushi, and nabe. Yummy :D.
And on New Year's day we went to a couple shrines and explored his hometown. Very nice day too. I think it was around 8-10 degrees outside, and lots of sun. It felt like spring to me!
Heading back to Canada in a couple days now... kind of surreal to be honest. It was definately a new way to spend New Year's for me though!

I just spent NYE watching television and then falling asleep.
I went to dinner with friends and then we all went down to the beach to watch the fireworks. Then we went partying at the marina.

Went outside and watched most of my neighbors blow up literally thousands of dollars worth of fireworks (very spectacular btw). Drank some champaigne, played some Twilight Princess, and then died.

Spend new years countdown with a close few friends, then afterwards headed back to my apartment for an after party where most of us got shit faced. It was rather interesting.
I sat home with my best friend, and we play video games, cleaned my room, and had a good time just chillin' out like the old days. It was quiet, and all was well. And I have to say, it was the best new years ever for me.

What?
Anyways, I spent NYE at a party. The ones who put it on I think went too far with the decorations. Literally.

I had a choice between a party and a rave. I picked rave. I'm deaf now and I just lost 60 bucks. And did not have much of a good time. One the other hand I went home and my friend who went to that party said it was the best new years of his life. Awesome

I got there in the parking lot just as midnight struck, so that was another huge negative. And you just..had to be on something to enjoy it. I chose to be sober (well, also because my friend who was already there refused to give me anything, saying I came when it was already half over, so it would be useless). And I honestly went through hell just getting there, since I had a flat tire and it was a 90 mile trip, so I was paranoid the whole time.

Yeah, I go to raves sober all the time. The one I went to was a much smaller venue (capacity: 500) but the production company (Grumpy Old Men Productions) doesn't waste their time sealing up headliners and that bullshit - but rather focuses on the atmosphere of the place by means of decoration and varying the music.
I liked it.

I don't think NYE is a big deal and this year I just stayed home and drew a bunch. Besides, I had to work at eight the next morning.

New Year's Even in Hong Kong was ridiculous. People have been trampled to death in the past so they regulate it as extremely as possible. In order to get on the bar street you have to wait in a miles long line, packed full of people. An estimated 400,000 turned out into the streets, and at least 20,000 were packed into these four square blocks.
We almost didn't make it and I got a little upset. Last year I missed it because my roomate broke his ankle, so we spent it low key in the ex-pat neighborhood. So I was more than ready for the chaos.
And it was chaotic. We finally made the bar street at 12:15 and proceeded to sit there and drink for the next four hours. Bars began dropping cover fees so I could go in and get good beer without paying the hundred and fifty dollars for the hand stamp. So I did.
Five hours passed, walking around this street. We saw pukers, met people from around the world and generally had a blast. We caught the bus back across the border at 5:30 and I fell into bed at 7:30. I don't think I can do that again, but man was it awesome once.
If you're ever in the neighborhood on December 31st you owe it to yourself to attend.

Nice. A friend brought a SNES over and we pretty much took the ol' Mario Kart for a spin 7 hours straight. Oh yeah, I can't forget the New Years rap collab I did with some other dudes, and my cousin doing nasty karaoke with Usher's "Yeah." He couldn't sing well, but it was worth watching.
