Pac-Man 'Sinergia'
A Pac Man mix performed live! As if that's not good enough it has hilarious foreign lyrics! Because of the inability to understand the lyrics it tends to make me laugh. It's a hella lot better than that old "Pac Man Fever" song by far. This is a great mix. Very fun. Recommended. Download it now! This remix is very OverLooked (ha I made a funny!) here on OC. Man, is this song cool. The funny lyrics (even though I can't understand them) and the "Puck-Man!!!" shouting is great. Worth a download, IMO.

I'd like to consider myself one, but I am mostly unable to get this one.

Wow. That's more than I could ever make out.
The general gist (I think) is that this guy regrets ever going to his friend's house, because now his life is spent playing Pac-Man.

I'm not too sure about the rest... yet.
Oh. As this is also the review forum... I love this song. I actually use it in my Spanish Class on the second day. I tell these kids that we're going to listen to some music in spanish and then ask them to listen carefully to the lyrics. I tell them it's about something dear to me from my childhood. And they all love it. So far this song has been a hit.
So if you're listening Sinergia (after oh so many years), WE LOVE IT! Nosotros amamos su cancion. Cantan mas, por favor. No vivo con solo cuatro canciones. Necesitamos mas.

Heh, when you've spent over a decade playing Pac Man you can understand why this guy's written this rap. :) This is a beautifully made remix which will have all geeks and rockers swinging their hair to.

A few translation notes:
My grammar is off here and there. My Spanish is quite rusty, but I think this transliteration is more accurate than the previous attempt. I'm missing an accent here or there, though, since my spanish spelling is worse than my grammar.
They got accents, man. My spanish is purely Mexican, so sometimes they say things with an unfamiliar South American (Chilean, my sources say) slur that makes the endings of words hard to make out. The first verse is the shakiest to understand, by far.
One could reasonably use 'Puck Man' instead of 'Pac Man' since that's really what it sounds like they're saying, and because on the original Japanese hardware, the dot-eating monster IS called 'Puck Man.' It's perfectly plausible that someone not in the U.S. is playing on Japanese hardware.
I can NOT, for the life of me, fully figure out what the lead shouts out at 2:52. It sounds like English, so I tried my best at it. Everyone else is welcome to try and correct it, because I know I'm not 100% accurate on that one.
As far as actually reviewing the song goes, I think it goes without saying that I wouldn't go to all this trouble if I didn't love love love this mix. With such thin source material it's astonishing that they pull off a gorgeous 4:28 rock arrangement with wonderful guitars. I especially love the wah wah throughout the piece and wicked precise playing at 2:48. And the lyrics positively make this song. So few original lyrics come through OCR, and it's great that this song tells such a hilarious tale with its own.

I love the guitar. It just sounds so weird yet funny especially since it repeats the Pac-Man theme over and over. The only problem I have with it is that the lyrics aren't in English. Overall I give it a 7.5/10

I've been a fan of the orbital pac man techno remix for quite a while. I really like this too! Cool that is is live too. Really adds a lot.
Oh, and if anybody has a full translation, that would be cool. Interested to see what else might be coming from Sinergia.

Oh ho ho... fun. This song makes me smile.
This song totally rocks, it took a bit of getting used to, but in the end, I loved it.
I don't know why I never commented on this song - It's one of the first few OCRs ever to have vocals...And after all this time, still one of my favorites. Great stuff.
I guess we won't be seeing a second submission, though...

I'll chime in and say that this song is on my list of "must haves." The fact that it's A) LIVE and B) LYRIC is enough. I could care less if I understood what they were saying, the band had fun with it and that's what shines through.

Yeah, I dig on remixes with vocals. Even if they suck, it is obvious that effort was put in. And as we all know, the more you put in, the more you get out.
The live feel is pretty dope as well. I hope to see more Mexicano rappers around here.

That's mostly what i think too. Sinergia has donw a really good job to play one of the shortest themes LIVE (in what appears to be inside of a arcade hall?), and they've also deciced to do it on spanish. This should be enough to download this, but yet, it sounds terrible. I can take it when they sings the lyrics in general, but when they start to scream PAC MAN out loud, that's simply just not my cup of tea. Although it did get interesting when they started to do their little twist, I'm not downloading it.
However, congrats to Sinergia for making the first live and lyriced remix on this site! (I'm not sure, but it's an old remix measured in OCR years.)

How is this not a cult favourite? It's a remarkably strong gem buried in the archaic drum-looped MIDI wasteland of the early OCR catalogue. And one of those VERY rare beasts that could even pass off as a modern mix. Dare I say it might pass the judges...? (No. No, I would not dare.)
Technically, its a pretty basic package, but it's adorned with so much personality and surprisingly interesting expansions of the source tune. I'm actually pretty stunned that something like this came so early. Very enjoyable stuff. It's a tragedy that I had forgotten this thing existed for so long. It should be one of the greats.

Now this has flavor! This ReMix is a buried treasure for sure and it's got so much to offer in such a different sounding package. The way it goes from smooth and cool to hard-hitting guitars and then the more lively part from 2:50 on and back was awesome! So much Chile soul in this one. If I had to nit-pick, I'd say my only wish was that the guitars were louder in the "Pac-Man!" parts, so that it wasn't overtaken by the singer. Still, this is a beast ReMix.
