Barret's Privateers, by Stan Rogers.
Oh, the year was 1778, HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
A letter of marque come from the king,
To the scummiest vessel I'd ever seen,
CHORUS:
God damn them all!
I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold
We'd fire no guns-shed no tears
Now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier
The last of Barrett's Privateers.
Oh, Elcid Barrett cried the town, HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
For twenty brave men all fishermen who
would make for him the Antelope's crew
(chorus)
The Antelope sloop was a sickening sight, HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
She'd a list to the port and and her sails in rags
And the cook in scuppers with the staggers and the jags
(chorus)
On the King's birthday we put to sea, HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
We were 91 days to Montego Bay
Pumping like madmen all the way
(chorus)
On the 96th day we sailed again, HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
When a bloody great Yankee hove in sight
With our cracked four pounders we made to fight
(chorus)
The Yankee lay low down with gold, HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
She was broad and fat and loose in the stays
But to catch her took the Antelope two whole days
(chorus)
Then at length we stood two cables away, HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
Our cracked four pounders made an awful din
But with one fat ball the Yank stove us in
(chorus)
The Antelope shook and pitched on her side, HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
Barrett was smashed like a bowl of eggs
And the Maintruck carried off both me legs
(chorus)
So here I lay in my 23rd year, HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
It's been 6 years since we sailed away
And I just made Halifax yesterday
(chorus)
Capitan Kidd, by Great Big Sea
My name is Captain Kidd
As I sailed, as I sailed,
Oh my name is Captain Kidd as I sailed,
My name is Captain Kidd
And God's laws I did forbid,
And most wickedly I did as I sailed.
My father taught me well
To shun the gates of hell,
But against him I rebelled as I sailed,
He shoved a bible in my hand
But I left it in the sand
And I pulled away from land,
As I sailed
[Chorus]
I murdered William Moore
And I left him in his gore
Twenty leagues away from shore
As I sailed,
And being crueler still, the gunner I did kill
All his precious blood did spill,
As I sailed,
[Chorus]
I was sick and nigh to death,
And I vowed at every breath,
Oh to walk in wisdom's path,
As I sailed
But my repentance lasted not,
My vows I soon forgot,
Oh damnation is my lot,
As I sailed.
[Chorus]
To the execution dock
Lay my head upon the block,
Laws no more I'll mock as I sail,
So take warning here and heed
To shun bad company
Or you'll wind up just like me
As I sailed.
The Worst Pirate Song, by Ceann
If you’re a pirate I don’t believe it
I don’t believe that you are capable of such deeds
If you’re a pirate let’s see your wallet
and we will see if you are licensed for the seas
Are you capable of swinging from the riggings of a ship
Or wearing a black do-rag when it really ain’t that hip
I don’t think so,
I don’t think so, at all
CHORUS:
So where’s your eye patch
Where’s your peg leg
If you’re a pirate
Where’s your gun
Where’s your booty
Your sassy parrot
I can’t picture you on a bottle of cheap rum
‘Cause You’re the worst pirate,
the worst pirate in the world
You’re the worst pirate,
the worst pirate in the world
‘Cause you’re a girl
So all you females just put your swords down
I’m not a fool and I’m not amused
You’ve got no hook hand, no secret island
And pirates never go to the bathroom in twos
So if this isn’t some sort of cheap prank
Then tell me who exactly walks your plank
Not me, not me
No, nay, never, not me
CHORUS
A pirate vessel is not a bedroom
No walk-in closet, there’s no bidet
There’s no pink loofah hanging in the shower and
pirates don’t worry about what shoes they wear today
Because everyone knows that pirates just wear black
They raise a flag of skull and bones when they attack
Not birds and flowers, not birds and flowers, no way!

Yo ho fiddle dee dee
Being a pirate is alright with me
If you're a pirate... la la la la lee?
You are a pirate!
Okay, I don't know the words. But I bet YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0yI2MQf8Tk) does.
...
Okay. I don't think I've ever actually watched anything from that show before. (My exposure is purely through YTMND.) That's pretty creepy stuff?

Try the song :Set Sail" under the Donkey Kong Country 2 remixes on here. There isn't a more perfect pirate song IMO.

Search for songs by the power metal band Running Wild, from the albums Under Jolly Roger and after.
Here's some samples of lyrics:
Under Jolly Roger
"Weigh anchor, hoist the sails
Cruisin' for booty on watery trails
No exploiter we see can still sail on
Our cannons fire till his ship goes down
Fly our flag, we teach them fear
Capture them, the end is near
Firing guns, they shall burn
Surrender or fight, there's no return
Under Jolly Roger
Venerable scoundrels, no blood on our hands
Our engagements are tough, but only for defence
Carefully we sail around the reefs
To force those die-hards to their knees
Fly our flag, we teach them fear
Capture them, the end is near
Firing guns, they shall burn
Surrender or fight, there's no return
Under Jolly Roger
Coming through the waves to free all the captives
Boarding the vessels we know all the tactics
We're the menace, the curse of the sea
We pulverize the men'o'war, pay or flee
Fly our flag, we teach them fear
Capture them, the end is near
Firing guns, they shall burn
Surrender or fight, there's no return
Under Jolly Roger"
Riding The Storm
"Breaking the waves, a ride on the wild raging sea
Playing with fortune, oh, what a lust to be free
Flashlights and thunder, the pattering rain on the hull
From a stormy horizon we get our course
The cry of freedom
Face in the wind, we're riding the storm
We'll stay our course whatever will come
Wandering souls in the sea of the damned
Death or glory, oh, we're riding the storm
Cracks in the planks, the rigging moves upwards and down
Staggering masts, the pounding splash of the prow
The wind in our sails, our flag flies high on the top
From a stormy horizon we get our course
The cry of freedom
Face in the wind, we're riding the storm
We'll stay our course whatever will come
Wandering souls in the sea of the damned
Death or glory, oh, we're riding the storm"
Tortuga Bay
"[1. Verse]
Man or boy - we'll fight all as one
Bending the rules - it's the call of the wild
Last resort - to be shot down in pains
Playing your very last card
[Prechorus:]
Hoist up the mainbrace and fasten the sails
Crowsnest is screaming for shore
Ready the rum that is stored in the hold
Bringing what we need and more
[Chorus:]
Where the streets have no name
Where the devil's in all men
If you knew what was a slain
Pay or flee in Tortuga Bay
[2. Verse]
Fight to death - games that men play
Flashing of steel and the clash of the sword
Last breath - the kill of the day
Proving what all men must fear
[Prechorus:]
Hoist up the mainbrace and fasten the sails
Crowsnest is screaming for shore
Ready the rum that is stored in the hold
Bringing what we need and more
[3. Verse]
Live by stealth - cover your track
Enemies scuttled but who needs to see
No escape - knife in your back
Proving what all men must fear
[Prechorus:]
Hoist up the mainbrace and fasten the sails
Crowsnest is screaming for shore
Ready the gras that is bound up in bales
Bringing what we need and more
[Chorus:]
Where survival's the game
Where you fight for your freedom
If you knew what was a slain
Pay or flee in Tortuga Bay"

There's a metal band called Battleheart that has lyrical content about pirates. I believe 3 Inches of Blood also has some pirate themed songs.

McGuinn's Folk Den has a seafaring section;
http://www.ibiblio.org/jimmy/folkden-wp/?cat=11
Be warned; some of it is lyrics, but there are a lot of MP3s. Don't expect them to be extremely high in production values, but what I listened to was pretty good.
^Note: The astute of you might of noticed "Spanish Ladies", the song sung by Quint in Jaws.
Farewell and adieu to ye spanish ladies... farewell and adieu to ye ladies of spain...

Perhaps you could try searching for "drinking songs," which is what pirate songs tend to be like anyway.

Look for "Scurvy" on MySpace.com.
I have a copy of their CD <not sure if it's named>, and it's only about 10 minutes long, featureing 5 or 6 heavy metal songs about being a pirate. Yes, they cover the grog song. yes, it fucking rocks.

Though those are easily my least favorite of their songs. Most of their other songs are arguably a piratey even if they aren't about pirates, like these:
Flogging Molly - Drunken Lullabies (http://www.amazon.com/gp/music/wma-pop-up/B000060MMI001001/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_001/102-0448458-1212932)

Rogue's Gallery - Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs, and Chanteys. It's an album that was released at the same time than Pirates of The Carribean 2. True pirate songs, the lyrics would make even the most bad ass rapper blush. Oh, and Sting sings in it too. And Bono. And Nick Cave.

Go here (http://www.captaintractor.com/pages/music.html) and download a free version of "The Last Saskatchewan Pirate". It's better if you're Canadian or know Canadian geography, since you'll get all the jokes, but it's a good pirate song nevertheless.

^
I was about to say that one. I was ALMOST first to mention it.
Never the less.
The Last Saskatchewan Pirate by The Arrogant Worms
Oh, I used to be a farmer, and I made a living fine.
I had a little stretch of land along the CP line.
But time went by and though I tried, the money wasn't there.
And bankers came and took my land and told me fair is fair.
I looked for every kind of job the answer's always no.
Hire you now, they'd always laugh, we just let twenty go.
The government, they promised me a measly little sum.
But I've got too much pride to end up just another bum.
Then I thought, "Who gives a damn if all the jobs are gone?
I'm gonna be a pirate...on the river Saskatchewan."
CHORUS:
'Cause it's a hee-ho, hi-ho, comin' down the plains.
Stealin' wheat and barley and all the other grains.
It's a ho-hey, hi-hey, farmers bar your doors
When you see the Jolly Roger on Regina's mighty shores.
Arrr, arrr.
Well you'd think the local farmers would know that I'm at large.
But just the other day, I found an unsuspecting barge.
I snuck up right behind them and they were none the wiser.
I rammed their ship and sank it and I stole their fertilizer.
A bridge outside of Moosejaw spans a mighty river.
Farmers cross in so much fear their stomachs are aquiver.
'Cause they know that CRACKER JACK is hiding in the bay.
I'll jump the bridge and knock em cold and sail off with their hay.
(Chorus)
Arr, arrr, arr.
Well Mountie Bob he chased me, he was always at my throat.
He'd follow on the shoreline, but he didn't own a boat.
But cutbacks were a-comin' so the Mountie lost his job.
So now he's sailing with me and we call him Salty Bob.
A swingin' sword, a skull-and-bones, and pleasant company.
I never pay my income tax and screw the GST
(SCREW IT)
Prince Albert down to Saskatoon, the terror of the sea.
If you wanna reach the co-op, boy, you gotta get by me.
(Chorus)
Arr matey. Get it..."metis"?
Oh hey hey, that's rielly fun. You..y'know. Like Louis Riel?
Well pirate life's appealing but you don't just find it here.
I heard that in Alberta there's a band of buchaneers.
They roam the Athabasca from Smith to Fort McKay
And you're gonna lose your Stetson if you have to pass their way.
Well winter is a-comin' and a chill is in the breeze.
Pirate days are over once the river starts to freeze.
I'll be back in springtime, but now I have to go.
I hear there's lots of plunderin' down in New Mexico.
(Chorus x2)
When you see the Jolly Roger on Regina's mighty shores.
