I'd think this would be a pretty typical question, but searching and reading stickies, I haven't seen it answered. I'm getting parts together for a computer. I'm going to be using it to record guitar, violin (with an output), my crappy microphone (working on it), and make songs. What sound card should I get for good recording quality? How much do I have to spend to get something good, and is buying higher priced things worth it? My price range is pretty much whatever's worthwhile, though I don't like spending a lot? I guess I'm not being very helpful here.
