Can someone who has gone through this help me out? I'm seeking admission to IU as a music (composition) student. I've got a twenty minute interview and a ten minute clarinet audition. Also, a basic musicianship test, but you know... lol.
Anyway, for the ten minute audition, I've got to know two contrasting solos from the standard repertoire, two contrasting etudes, and all my major and minor scales, full range. Also, they're going to make me sight-read, so that's well over ten minutes. My guess is that they'll make me play parts of both solos and the etudes. Can someone verify this through personal experience.
For the interview, I can't think of what kinds of questions they will ask. Any clues?
