I'd definitely like to get one, since Windows-based PC's typically don't have very Linux-friendly hardware. I think it's awesome that they chose to use Ubuntu... Thus far, it's been my favorite Linux distribution. Thoughts? Any other Linux distributions you'd like to see Dell offer?

hey I like this
I just recently switched to ubuntu on my thinkpad though and everything works great with it
My uncle works at IBM and says that they still create their PCs/Notebooks with linux in mind, which is pretty cool.

Its fantastic, ubuntu is by far my favorite distro. With dell backing it this can only mean greater mainstream adoption and better support from hardware manufacturers for linux as a whole.

Also, ubuntu studio should be coming out in a couple days, which looks very promising for video and sound.

While I don't care to own a Dell laptop or have a computer installed with Ubuntu, perhaps more people will jump on this. Linux really could use better laptop hardware support, particularly in the wireless area. It doesn't help that the kernel guys keep rewriting the wireless stack....
