I need an Epic Love song, preferably one that ends on a good note. A ballad displaying heartbreak, and eventual happiness would be really nice. I can't currently think of any good ones, but I'd appreciate some help!

No clue if this is even remotely close, but:

Most songs have a central theme, and in the case of songs dealing with love it's either about being in love (currently or unrequitedly), or heartbroken. Most don't go through a narrative where it starts out with one and ends on something else. You can't develop that without some form of narrative since your lyrics are generally based around the theme you start on.

Why is Johnny Cash on that list?
The only one that comes to mind to me so far is Sonata Arctica - My Selene, although I'm sure there're others. Not many love songs have an epic feel about them though.

Well, it's not entirely true that you can't develop a changing theme or narrative regarding feelings, for instance- I heard a song on the radio the other day going through a man's dirty divorce and heartbreak, but ending with him finding another woman and falling in love again. That's a change.
Also Epic may have been a poor choice in words, but I mean something slightly more than a guitar and a piano. I want some emotion in it.
Drinking Song - Rob Dougan
There's Only Me - Rob Dougan
Furious Angels - Rob Dougan
Nothing At All - Rob Dougan
Speed Me Towards Death - Rob Dougan
Pollyanna (I Believe in You) - Catherine Warwick (not quite about heartbreak, but I like it)
You're Not Here - Melissa Williamson (aka Mary Elizabeth McGlynn)
Rob D's Drinking Song is probably your best bet.

Led Zeppelin - Dazed And Confused?
Doesn't end on a good note, though.

NIN-We're In This Together
Dave Matthews Band-The Space Between & Crash Into Me
Red Hot Chili Peppers-Universally Speaking
By epic, do you mean with a narrative, or with an epic feel, like a eight minute long rock ballad or something?

Just discovered this REALLY awesome song that somewhat fits your description.
"Carnival of Rust" by Poets of the Fall
I'm addicted to it!

Most of these are more symbolic\emotionally evoking rather than storytelling, but these are the ones I listen to most. I'm linking the lyrics:
Led Zeppelin - The Rain Song. (http://www.lyricsfreak.com/l/led+zeppelin/the+rain+song_20082101.html) Not very epic, but very emotional.
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. (http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/In-the-Aeroplane-Over-the-Sea-lyrics-Neutral-Milk-Hotel/BB5DC9FB5E9C824948256E5B0024BDF6) This is mine and my fiance's song.
Tool - Parabol (http://www.lyricsfreak.com/t/tool/parabol_20139400.html)\Parabola. (http://www.lyricsfreak.com/t/tool/parabola_20139401.html) Two songs that flow into each other. The first is the slow intro, the second is very epic.

...or with an epic feel, like a eight minute long rock ballad or something?
If that is indeed what you're looking for, I would vote for Ghost Love Score by Nightwish. Gotta love the 10 minute long orchestral rock opera shizznits.
