Welcome to ORC105.
Source Material
Last week's winner was Nutritious.
Well, I kind of had a problem after this last competition: I didn't have any original music to speak of and had never made a midi file before (sad, I know). So, I put this song together this morning. I went for an upbeat-type feel for the song, but still tried to leave room open for interpretation. Hope you guys like it.

The Quick Rules Rundown
Step 1 -Submission:-
1. Anyone can enter regardless of your remixing ability.
2. Filesize is limited to 8 meg.
3. You may only enter one piece. but can collab on a second one.
4. When you've finished your entry, feel free to post it in the thread, BUT send it also to http://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/ORC105 (http://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/ORC105). It's mandatory to avoid me to run after you for your mix.
5. You may submit your piece as a MIDI, MP3 or OGG file.
Step 2 -Vote:-
Voting is done via the ThaSauce system by logging in and dragging your top choice song.
About submiting:
The ThaSauce webspace is there for that. I gladly thanks Rama and the team for that, and analoq for pointing me to the beta.
About the comment:
You are now allowed to comment anytime EXCEPT during the voting stage..
that mean that once a mix is posted, you can feedback it, until the submission process is over.
About a draw in the result:
It happen sometime. Both remixer are still officially Winner, but i'll ask the remixer with the less "Win" to send me his song.[/img]

Sigh, I've always hated that song and, unfortunately, I hear exactly what you mean. Oh well :)

i've got something going on, you can expect a submission within the day
just a warning, its been a real long time since i've submitted anything to ocr even as competition material, so, i might be a little shaken up from listening to all my depeche mode
haha
with an intro like that, how can i lose?
anyways, hope everyone else is having good luck with their submissions!

Edit: I posted my song on that Saucy website or whatever if you guys want to check it out. I would link you to the soundclick, but as its still confirming wether i'm worthy or not to be a member...eh, it'll be a while

Awesome, two great entries already. Hopefully more to come (I'm looking at you, Analoq).

OK, I guess I better clarify. I hate the vocals on this song, they get on my nerves. Otherwise, it's good :)

Fun. I created a remix list a while ago from almost all the contests. Rexy and S|r Nuts switched positions for a while. After entering some DOD-results, Rexy took the second place from S|r Nuts, but after the victory here, S|r Nuts is now second again with a small 5 points advantage and 1560.
Still, The Orchicalcon is the big number 1. He entered (and won) a lot more and has 1830 points (winning an ORC is worth 60 points). Nodspaw51 is now 37th with 210 points.

Doulifee didn't delete your votes, i assume.
that's very concerning. it's worked for both of you guys before... did you notice anything unusual when you voted this time around? errors or...?

well I was about to point out that you should all contact analoq.
It's weird really, it worked fine for the last competition.

Didn't notice anything although maybe the cookie/session expired when I voted. I'm pretty sure it didn't say anything but I did have the window open for about 2 hours before submitting the vote as I listened to one track in one break and the other in my other break.
I do this normally though and sometimes have the window open in excess of 5 hours. It's possible I have changed some settings in my browser.

I noticed nothing unusual. It's not the end of the world for voting, I suppose, but what if something like this was to happen when submitting an entry?
Very strange indeed.

Well, at least with submitting an entry, you can see immediately if it worked. Voting-wise, though, you can't tell whether or not it went through.

nope i didn't touch anything. didn't user profile have a page somewhere where it show your vote history?
analoq

yeah, your profile will show your voting history. that's currently the only way to verify your vote was accepted, you guys might want to check that next time.
if there is a problem trust i will provide the remedy. a pulsating rhythmical remedy.
