I am very impressed with myself. I have slacked off from writing ANYTHING here.
Anyway. Age is up in the mid-upper-left corner. Relax, I'm probably not the youngest here. :)
Currently am trying to figure out how on Earth I use the DAWs I have to successfully make a semi-decent remix. I use Acoustica Mixcraft for most/all intensive purposes.
Sequencer skills: not much of anything.
Collaboration: depends on circumstances means I am very interested, but my circumstances are the deciding factor. Basically, you have to use Mixcraft. Sorry. ~I'm a 14 year old kid with no income and can't hold on to money well. I don't have a really good DAW. :|
Not sure what else to say. I like dubstep? sure. Let's end with that...
I am convinced that I have ADHD. I know I don't but my thoughts are pretty scrambled sometimes and makes remixing hard.
Like I said, I am learning how to use Mixcraft for mixing and it's pretty difficult so far, but I think Mixcraft is the simplest thing to use right now. I have looked at other DAWs and I can't seem to figure out FL and I sure as hell won't use Reason. So da** confusing...
Music preferences are usually Dubstep, Trance, Electro, maybe a little bit of Electro House. I also listen to Rock, classical or contemporary. I may also listen to the pop music that comes over the radio waves, but am very dissapointed in the quality of that work.
On the other spectrum of music favorites, I also enjoy Celtic music and a bit of Appalachain bluegrass. I am a sucker for celtic music.
I find myself imagining music that is a wierd combination of my favorite genres, such as celtic dubstep, celtic rock, (trance bluegrass?) and other interesting combinations.
Right now, I am trying to pull off a Trans-Siberian Orchestra style remix. Not sure how that will work...
Sorry for all this ranting. Finally had an hour to spare to sit down and write this.
