I play with a lot of "newbies" and am really patient with them if you want to play together. Not saying you'll be bad but that I don't mind playing with people who want to learn. Specially since I was really bad when I first started.

I recommend champions like Tristana, Ashe, Annie, Ryze, basically what's already been said. AD carries like Tristana and nukers like Annie and Ryze are the easiest to play in my opinion. Their roles are pretty simple: don't die and kill stuff if you can.

Junglekaiser: 21/0/9

Marks: flat ad
Seals: flat armor
Glyphs: ap/lvl
Quints: flat ap/move speed

You can use different summoner spells, I prefer flash/smite most of the time.
Regrowth pendant and 1 health pot.

Starting at small golems, lvl up Q first. Use q on the first golem. Kill it with smite. After small golems move on to wraiths - use your potion now - Lvl up w, use w when your q connects on blue wraith.

After wraiths go to wolfs, wait for w cd if it's down. Kill wolfs, lvl q if move speed quints, e if ap quints.

You should defeat blue golem around 3:00-3:15 depending on quints choice.

b, buy boots and 1-2 health pots.

Go to small golems - lizard - wraiths - small wolfs. Now you should be lvl 5 at around/under 5 minutes. If there is an opportunity to gank, use it. But you should primarily try to lvl as fast as possible because that's his strength. You can easily steal camps from the other jungler, just be aware of his teammates.

Skill priority order: R-Q-E-W
Q will deal massive dmg when ganking if you can land it on a single person, and when you are invading it will help you win duels, just don't get caught.

The build I usually go is: rush gunblade, starting with hextech revolver, sell regrowth pendant if you can afford it on your b. You can get boots after hextech revolver or if you are doing good wait till after gunblade, I got gunblade at 11:30 one game hehe.

boots-hextech revolver-upgrade boots I usually go swiftness or cdr/gunblade- rylai's - lich bane - death cap - void staff/zhonya's/FoN

It depends what you need, some games I need to bd, which he is very strong as when you have alot of ap and lich bane. Sometimes you need a bit more tanky because of focus.

Rushing gunblade is important because you don't have ignite and when you use it in conjunction with your ult you can get ghosts so much easier.

That's all I can think of right now, ofc playstyle is the most important. Your goal is to kill the carry and make a ghost out of him, a bit like poppy, except you get an insanely strong minion if you succeed in killing their ad carry, I had a tristana ghost that did 450 dmg per shot, I don't know if it was a bug but it just cleansed their whole team so fast :D. This is where I find flash more useful than ghost.

I'm still playing a lot more HoN than LoL but plan to play a game or two a day over the summer to build up IP.

Has anyone been following the Dreamhack 2011/LoL Season 1 championship? Pretty exciting stuff, although I think part of the game design encourages too much passivity early on-- Particularly flash summoner spell, the chance for ganks to fail due to such an accessable escape discourages early skirmishes. Buuuuuut, once the action gets started, it tends to get really epic really fast.

i just started playing this game. also, i am bad - i often lose beginner fights versus bots. i would love to play with humans who talk on skype or something.

i like tanks and spikers. cho-gath, urgot, and the armadillo are up there for me in terms of enjoyability.

Good games yesterday, guys. It was pretty rough going at points but it was still a lot of fun. I look forward to more games. (This time I'll be on my alt, though, promise!)

Also as a side note to the whole HoN/LoL debate: I really feel like the community of LoL as a friendly or teaching group as well as being competent like having the general knowledge of wards and team comp (once you hit level 30...not going to comment on lowbies cause that's the same in both games) is a lot better. Very rarely do I get teams of 5x carries cause everyone just wants to do that. You get a surprising amount of pubs willing to jungle or tank or play support but I think that's inherent in the game itself. You're able to still get some items for yourself while being a ward bitch and jungling isn't limited to very few characters because any (and I do mean any) champion can jungle as long as you have the right rune/mastery setup.

So I've got a smurf account named AmphibiousFrog that is level 6 I play on sometimes too. I have like no champions unlocked but if any low level people want to play normal games then I wont have to skew the matchmaking too much with my high level account.

zero that 80m game we did was absolutely epic. you were what, 40-10-25 or something? too bad i sucked so hardcore before level 18.

Halve the deaths and I think that was my score. At about 40m I sold my boots for another deathcap. I'm just thankful that once you hit 18 you had enough lifesteal to deal with the impending creep waves cause I had no way of dealing with those myself. I took care of killing their entire team, you kept the base alive, and once Tensei got his bearings we just rolled them outright.

I just started playing. Did my first tutorial game. My thoughts:

1. WOW there are a lot of items. A WHOLE lot. Wow.
2. There are a lot of abilities. Also wow. Up to 6 actives to manage at any time.
3. The game *feels* slower and choppier than HoN. Not nearly as smooth or fluid. Reminds me of when I tried the original DotA.
4. I can see why it's addicting.

there's a lot of items, yeah, but it's got roughly the ratio of items to champions that demigod has, so it's not that bad.

zero, yeah, i was hosing minions left and right with the AoE thing urgot has. it was basically three on five there for a bit, but they were dumb and kept racking up deaths by charging in without support and getting dicked over. i was up to 45% lifesteal at that point, so i basically just sat there and didn't move for minutes at a time.

I was overwhelmed by the items when I first started but I quickly got used to it.

You'll get used to the number of items. They're organized really well in the shop. Just click on what you need and the list just presents itself. Also if an item falls under two different categories it will show up in both. For example Bloodthirster gives you both Damage and Lifesteal. So you'll find it under both sections of Atack. Also to be honest a few of them are downright useless. There are a few important ones to learn and in general you can just ask whoever you're playing with for an opinion on what to get.

The game does feel a lot slower (in terms of movement speed) and more forgiving because compared to HoN all the spells do less damage but also cost less mana. And the towers are almost a guaranteed safezone until quite late in the game because of the huge amount of damage they put out.

Definitely going to be awhile before I understand all the items...

At the E3 reveal, they said that Leona was going to be a "Sun knight," which led me to assume she'd follow the Paladin motif like Taric-- her armor in the concept art was similar to his. IIRC Valkyries in video games are lightly armored and excel at ranged combat, not very conducive to tanking.

To be honest, I'm more excited for the next champ in the pipeline, the crystal scorpion, but I'm probably going to buy Leona next Tuesday anyway.

I think he said he likes to play Miss Fortune. I tried her earlier and thought she was kinda boring.

She's alright. You can rack up a lot of kills with her if you happen to get fed enough, but otherwise she is pretty underwhelming (also she is one of THE squishiest champions in the game I believe).

I play with the most hardcore of handicapped. That is how hardcore I am!!

Also she has the biggest tits, and I can't be bothered to learn someone else.
