Spam Private Messages

Lately some forum bots have taken to sending out mass PMs, claiming to be forum administrators and saying that we've noticed a virus on your computer and that if you don't do an online check we'll contact your ISP, remove your account, or some other such nonsense.

Please be advised:

OCR forum software does not have the capability to run a virus scan on your computer.
OCR staff members will never contact you via PM asking you to download software in order to run a virus scan.
OCR staff members will never ask for your password.

The the most recent offending account has been purged from the forums. If you receive a suspicious PM, quote it and report it in the spammer thread.
